First time doing a lease so I need some help here.
2014 Q5 3.0T Premium Plus. MSRP $54,195, talked them down to $51,000.
Lease is for 15k/year for 36mo. They're giving me a rate of
$723.36/month with $2255 inception fees (does not include taxes)

If the CAP cost is the same as the selling price, then with base money factor of .00159 and residual of 55%, the payment would be about $717/mo.

That's a lot with $2255 upfront

Just got a lease quote for a 2014 SQ5.
MSRP of $60,490.00.
Options: Phantom Black Premium Plus with audi side assist, audi connect, MMI, Nappa seats, Bang & Olufsen, and some other small dealer accessories added on.

Residual: 55% (36 month, 15k/year, '14 SQ5 premium plus)

Rate: .00214 (5.16%)

Monthly payment comes out to $955.37 plus tax.

I don't want to put anything down, just first month payment. The quote says $1673.23 due at signing.
Fees...
Capped Fees (W): $695.00
Lic/Reg (upfront): $491.00
Upfront Fees: $117
Working Cash: $900.00

My Questions:
1) Can I not finance those fees above? Do they always have to paid upfront? I don't remember doing this on my previous leases.
2) Is that residual correct? Looks like it is to me.
3) That rate is much higher than the standard .00154/3.696% that I have seen on this discussion. Is that just dealer markup?
4) I'm trying to get the payment to $900/month with nothing down. Is that reasonable for this car?
4) What is the residual for 36 month, 15k/year prestige SQ5? I saw that they are usually 4% lower, so would it be 51% for these same lease terms?

1) Looks like the acquisition fee ($695) has been rolled in. It's possible they don't roll in the other fees because they are government fees, and untaxed.. It may cause them to be taxed, if you roll them into the payment. That doesn't mean you can't do it.

2) The residual is correct. If you add AudiCare ($880 on this model), it will add 1% to your residual, giving you an effective cost of $275 for the maintenance program.

3) The rate is marked up, unless you are not A-tier. Audi allows a massive .00125 markup to their base money factors. That money factor markup is adding $55/mo. pre-tax to your payment.

4) With your MSRP and a selling price of 6% off, you should be around $815/mo, plus tax, with the $600 of fees and 1st payment due at signing..

The Prestige model residual is 4% lower... If you leased a Prestige model with the same MSRP, the payment would be about $70/mo. higher.

The 48 month residual is 49%, but I'm not certain of the money factor. AFS only subsidizes the money factor on terms of 42 months or less.

The 2.0T residual is 1% lower than the 3.0T model.

We get a few outliers, but usually the best price I see on a Q5 is about 6% off of MSRP. Leasing a Q5 isn't cheap. They must not have any trouble moving them.

The only promotion I see on a purchase is 1.9% APR financing for up to 66 months.

The current lease program runs through April 1st, unless they make unscheduled changes.

From previous posts, I understand that the best discount that seems possible is 6% off MSRP. Various employee purchase programs offer than discount.

Looking to order a Q5 3.0T Premium Plus w/Nav, SLine Plus, Sport Int, and Side Assist. I was able to negotiate for a 7% off of MSRP but need to make sure the money factor isn't inflated. Acquisition fee for Audi is $695 right? What's the current buy rate and residual on a 36 months, 12K/Yr lease? Thank you so much for the info. The car won't be here until end of April, so I will need to check back in for April rates.

The base money factor on that model is .00150, so that looks to be marked up... That's about a $20/mo. addition..
