    Hi, if I live in North Carolina can I lease a car in Maryland? Are there any rules/regulations against this transaction?

    You can, but I don't know the sales tax implications when you go to register the car in NC.

    I know in Maryland the entire selling price is subject to sales tax, whereas NC only taxes the monthly payment.

    Hello, joined since I am looking into leasing a 2015 Camry SE 4cyl. Been doing research and looks like I need to know cap cost, MF & residual, am I correct? I'd like to do 24 months and I would be ok with 10k/miles a year. 

    One dealer told me MF is .00021 on approved credit is this correct? I know cap cost can be negotiated but what about the residual? How do I find that out? Does residual vary by dealer? Thanks for helping

    .00021 MF and 73% residual for 24mo, 10K/yr.

    Residual is fixed, but may not be a true percentage of the MSRP. Toyota has a funny way of calculating residuals (and, not in a good way), but the dealer can't alter it for additional profit.

    Correct.. you have to negotiate the selling price.

    does Toyota charge a disposition fee? I signed a 24 month lease 500 drive off 190+ tax which makes it 207 a month for a 2015 camry SE with an msrp just over 25k. instead of just floor mats option it had a slightly higher one that also included rear bumper applique and cargo net. The disposition fee was never mentioned and I didn't see it until I got home

    Most manufacturers charge a disposition fee - you pay it only if you don't buy or lease another car of the same make.

    Well then if all of the other dealers I got quotes from would've charged disposition fees I highly recommend DCH Torrance Toyota 190+tax $500/drive off 2015 Camry SE 24 months

    Disposition fees aren't charged until lease end... not upfront (hence the word: disposition).

    It should be easily found in your lease contract.

    Camry SE MSRP $24955 Sell Price $20,079 36 months 12k miles in South Florida. By using leaseguide.com I am getting $165.48 which is unreal.

    It's the high residual that is pushing the payment down. I'm showing 64% for 36/12 on the SE. Using the .00098 MF for Florida I get a pre-tax payment of $156.12 using your numbers.

    I'd confirm with the dealer what residual they are using ... Toyota doesn't residualize their options so the 64% is for the base MSRP only.

    You can't negotiate the residual - it's set by the bank and cannot be altered. The dealer has to look up the residual for each stock number separately. Makes for leasing Toyotas a painful experience.

    Any idea what those RV could range between ? And i believe MF is set by bank is that also variable?

    The RV is for the base MSRP - if options are added, then the RV decreases. Only the dealer would have the exact number.

    The MF is set by the bank but the dealer could mark it up for extra profit.

    so basically we can not haggle the RV but have to keep an eye on the dealer for the MF so they do not mark it up ?
