Low roof line and I'm in and out of car 20 times a day. However, it's not worth the 77.00 a month to do so. So I will keep until end. Thanks again.

A friend of mine has a CC, and I have a lot of trouble getting in and out, due to the roofline and the B-pillar. My car is just as low, but it's a coupe, and I can slide right into the seat..

I am getting a 2014 CC R-Line automatic 36-month lease. MSRP is $36,165. Zero down. Just paid $250 fee (DMV + $75 dealer Doc). $389 per month with NYS tax (8.625%). What do you think? Thanks

A dealer gave me this breakdown for the 2014 Passat Wolfsburg. I think they are inflating the MF, any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Term: 36 months, 10K/year
    MSRP: $24,930
    Selling Price: $21,130
    Residual: 51%
    Money Factor: 0.00044
Amount Due at Signing (includes first month payment + fees/license): $838.65
    Monthly Payment with Tax: $289.14

Need a selling price or CAP cost to give you an educated answer. (along with mileage allowance)

Yes.. I show .00024 for the 1.8T Wolfsburg

That adds around $7/mo. to the payment.

Hey! I was wondering if y'all knew the residual and money factor for a 2014 VW cc vr6 4motion for 36 and 48 month lease? also is there some lease cash on this vehicle?

i don't see a CC with a V6 engine option ... all my data shows the 2.0T engine.

There is a Passat 3.6 SEL, however. .00018 for 36/12 and 49% residual. $4000 lease cash this month.

I think VW lists that as the Executive model.

    .00048 MF and 48% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr. $3500 lease cash.

    .00113 MF and 41% residual for 48mo, 15K/yr.

Using your numbers with the base MF of .00005 and the 36/12 residual of 49%, I calculate a pre-tax payment of $272.01.

Ouch! That 1% decrease in residual hurts, but the jump from 1.032% to 2.448% interest rate doesn't help my cause either :'(

Sadly, some numbers get worse from month to month. Perhaps they'll improve in August or September, when you're ready to pull the trigger.

    @‌Michaell

Yeah, I understand that's how the game is played. Back in 2007 when we were shopping for a replacement to my wife's 2000 Mazda Protege ES, one of the top contenders was a Passat Wagon. I spoke to a dealer that had exactly what we wanted, she laid out the lease terms just as I had asked (mf, residual, MSRP, selling price) and couldn't have been more transparent or accomodating. She said that since it was the last day of the month, to fill out a credit application so she could "lock in" the lease terms. Well I didn't get her email until after they had closed on Saturday. Monday night I showed up and she said: "you aren't going to be happy. VW Credit decided to push financing over leasing this month. Here's the new payment."

It went from $395 to $440. The $440 was more than I was willing to spend on that particular VW. For $471.67 per month I ended up with an X3. And you know where that landed me (Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous).

I see they are offering a $1000 Turbocharged Reward Card (basically a $1000 pre paid mastercard) this month, so maybe next month things will change in my favor:)

I can't say I'm surprised ... residual values often drop as you get later in the model year. Manufacturers will compensate with subvented MF and lease cash.

    Hello all,

I am new to VW and leasing in general. I just leased a 2014 TSI SE w/ sunroof and connectivity + spoiler for 36mo @ 10k a couple months ago. This was the deal I got:

$0 down (dealer paid all taxes, fees, etc).
    Dealer paid 1st month.
$325/mo for the remainder of the lease of 35mo (this includes the $10k wear and tear warranty).
    $350 disposition fee.

I wish I could give you more info, but in general, did I get ripped off?

I would say an ok deal. $0 down and first payment covered by dealer are good. Not sure you needed the wear and tear warranty, but if it gives you peace of mind, then good.

    Hello all!

I am a first time VW buyer looking for a lease deal. I've also never done a lease, always purchased used in the past. I'm in GA, and the primary motivation is that my current car is becoming unreliable and with school/work, I no longer have the time or money to stay on top of it. I need to get into something respectable, where the expenses can be planned and budgeted for.

I looked at a 2014 Passat S, 5spd manual with SE alloy wheels added, and the deal came out to be $3,500 due at signing including taxes and fees, for a monthly payment of $149. Term was 24mo and 12k/yr. After thinking about it, I would really be better off in a 15k lease though.

Only reason I looked at a Passat S was cost and I don't want to be in a golf or beetle. So if there's a more favorable deal I would be all for that. I've seen a couple people mention "lease cash" for different trim levels, but I'm not sure how that would effect things. If I remember correctly the money factor was 0.000220, the MSRP was $22,195, and the sale price was $18,000. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions!

Lease cash is like a rebate; negotiate your best deal first, then deduct the lease cash from it. $2250 this month on the Passat S 1.8T and $3250 for the Passat S 2.5.

MF is .00021 for the 1.8T and .00002 for the 2.5.

We don't recommend putting any money down on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you would be out that money.

RV is 55% for 24/15 on the 1.8T.

2014 Passat 1.8 SE Nav and Sunroof. Dealer in New Jersey, offer was $319/month, $1500 down, 12k/year, 36 months. Did not get MF. Going back to ask for $299/month tomorrow. How is original offer and is my counter offer fair?

  • colmustardcolmustard Member Posts: 9

    @Michaell said:

Thanks for the quick reply Michaell. After I got home I checked the print out, and the MF is actually at 0.000200, and the payment with $2,500 down would actually be $212.65.

The deal shows a $22,115 MSRP then $4,115 in "savings" plus a $1,000 "rebate" which I'm assuming already includes the lease cash and turbocharged sales event. That brings the cap cost down to $18,000. Then $1,157.06 in sales tax and $632 in dealer fees were added to bring it back up to $19,789.06.

Does this look like a good deal? What brought me in was an advertised special on the dealership website for a Passat S 1.8T 5spd manual for $129/mo with $1299 due at signing, 24mo, 10k/yr. But it seems like it got a lot more expensive just by going to 12k and adding wheels that were supposedly $500.

I'm not at all opposed to looking at a Wolfsburg or SE if it makes more sense or if there would be more favorable deals. My goal is cost effectiveness and low stress for the next two years while I finish school and work.

I haven't, because according to the lease deals I saw advertised there was only a $30/mo difference in price and the Passat seems to include some pretty useful standard features like the 1.8T and Bluetooth as well as having better reviews, more space for adults (I sometimes have businessmen/coworkers ride with me), and better safety ratings all around.

Here is the link to the specials I'm talking about: http://www.jimellisvwatlanta.com/specials/index.htm

On another note, since Michaell's earlier suggestion I have decided to take a look at the Jetta, it might still be a good option and for the price I could be in a higher than base trim level.

    1.8T SEL - .00019 and 46% for 36/15. $2750 lease cash.

    3.6 SEL - .00015 and 46% for 36/15. $4250 lease cash.

VW is offering a program this month where the 39mo residual is the same as the 36mo residual, so that would shave your payment down a bit.

Thanks Michaell, does the lease cash # come off of the final negotiated price? So, based on your the #'s you provided above for a '14 Passat 1.8 SEL Premium, if MSRP: $32k, Negotiated price: $27k, less $2,750 lease cash =$24,250, a 39 mo/15k lease would be approximately: $266.05? Anything else I should be looking for? What if I'm turning in a '10 VW Jetta with 1 payment left and don't want to put any $ down?

Hi Michael, I realize this isnt a Passat but can you please give me the MF and residual on a VW 2014 VW Eos Komfort for 3 years 12k miles. Also what is VW typical acquisition fee. Looks like they have a 1000 rebate too. Thanks
