Yes it's a 2015 it's one of the first with xdrive. I just ordered it it won't be ready till mid September. All I got off was the $1000 for showing up to the drive event They would not go any lower I tried. Your right I don't see anything on the paper about cap cost reduction or cap cost at all. I live in PA, the taxes are high. I'm using a NJ dealerI just wanted to see if I missed something I could have called him out on but in the end I expected the payment to be where it is. I thought I saw you mention a 33 month 15k lease deal for the month of July in a past post.
The 33 month special is only for the 2014 model year.
Thanks. I didn't negotiate further or pull the trigger as the car has all-season, run flat tires with a non-staggered set up. Glad I looked. Dealer did not want to "correct" it for me. It must have been ordered that way for some reason, and maybe that is the reason the car the car's been sitting on the lot in So. Cal. for some time. Otherwise, very little inventory for 2014s here from what I can tell.

I think the tax calculation is wrong... PA lease tax is 9% (or 10% in some jurisdictions), but it's only on upfront payments and the monthly payment. It's not collected upfront (except on the upfront payments), like NJ. I'd ask him to check on the tax calculation.
The KBB trade in on my 2013 Passat SEL is 17k and my payoff for it is 20680 so the gap as I see it is $3700. (the bmw dealership quoted me 16k instead), so a gap of $4700 as they see it
I'm trying to get the $309/33m deal on a 228i. Money factor is 0.00130 and residula is 62% from what I read here. What I was quoted (on a slightly different car on the lot with 38k MSRP with a supposed 3.5k discount) was $4811 (including dealer fees, 1st month, tag, and all other fees + $455/month , no sales tax included. (If i didn't have a car gap, that payment would (in theory) drop down to $343 by my estimate, and to $313 by their estimate of the gap.)

A lot of moving parts, so it's hard to say.. I'd keep driving the Passat, before I'd take a $4700 hit on the trade-in. That makes any new car expensive.
null So this is what he said "I never said I was collecting your tax upfront. Remember, originally it was just fees out totaling $1895.28 and the payment was going to be $670.28/month. PA always puts tax in the monthly that was why it was so high. The extra $4k on top of the fees then totaling $5779.52 is oure cap cost to get it down to the $554.52/month which is on the sheet I gave you. Tax is still in that monthly. If you have any other questions let me know" I don't know I put in the numbers he have me into a lease calculator and I don't come up with the 554.52

If I take $4000 Cap cost reduction off the selling price, I then get a payment of about $489.mo.+tax, or $533/mo. with 9% tax..
$4000 CCR leaves $1779 to account for... 1st payment, acq.fee, tax on (acq.fee + CCR).. that's probably about right...
Still about $20/mo. off... but it makes more sense, now... You could roll that $4K into the lease payment and the payment goes up about $116/mo. incl. tax..
First time I am looking to lease a BMW
228i MSRP $39,275 ($38,350 +$925 Dest Chg)
33 mo lease - 15K miles
MF 00160 - said this is assuming top tier credit
Residual 24,743
No money down - bring $944.77 to the table (I assume to cover 1st mo, doc fees etc.)
Payment $578.98
If I put down $2500 payment would be $527
If I put down $5000 payment would be $444
Salesperson we are selling you car for $38,200.
By my calculation (assuming $1000 incentive) they are reducing the car $75. Is this correct.

MF is marked up - base is .00130. And you are correct, there is a lot more room to negotiate on the selling price. Use the pricing tools at the top of the page to determine what you should pay.
In addition, we don't recommend that you make any sort of down payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you would be out that money. Instead, look into using that cash as MSDs to lower the MF. And, you get that money back at the end of the lease.
