It is about 90F here every day into the forseeable future....I will see if I can round up enough energy to see what the air hose company says.

I think a better bet if I don't get results is to contact Circle K, they would probably be able to resolve the issue. My question is, is it worth an hour of my time to get back $3.50?

You're in the 90s and I'm looking at up to an inch of snow in two days. :(

Snow? Here in upstate NY we’re looking at near 60 into the weekend when it’ll only go to the 50s.

Stop! We are in the middle of 4 straight days of snow here in Colorado. Only a few inches, so far, but could be much more when it's all said and done tomorrow.

Wife is aleady complaining about winter - told her it was pushing 90 in Miami this week.

S-N-O-W, I don't want to hear that 4 letter word for a few months. It is 88 today and until at least the weekend....nights are around 80. Do you know how nice it is to take Trixie out at 9 p.m. and not even need a jacket?

My air pump should arrive today or tomorrow, but, I decided to get my air today. First I went to the Race Track station across from Circle K, they had one pump and the guy trying to use it was on the phone explaining it wasn't working......same brand as the company at Circle K. btw, both $1.50 cash quarters, $1.75 CC.

One more try, Shell station on the way home, takes only cash, $1 in quarters, worked perfectly. The air pump and my tire gauge show exact pressure is what I wanted, 34 pds front, 42 pounds rear. My tire monitor in the car shows the same, but driver side front shows 37....how can that be?

Finding a air pump that worked gave me the energy to phone. The young lady had a cheery voice and was very pleasant....took the location, said she would send a refund for $3.50 to our address. Didn't need to submit my CC number. I hope my bank account doesn't get cleaned out. I do give them credit for conducting business in a very honorable way.

One thing too, is the time it takes. This time, I did my tires much more efficiently, went around and took all the caps off first, set them down on the machine (where they won't vibrate away), then filled the tires, when done put the caps back....much faster and easier.

Is there a Discount Tire (also known as Americas' Tire) close by? They will fill your tires at no charge, and will confirm the correct PSI with the information on the door jamb. I don't even have to exit my car to have this done.

Plus, when the weather gets cold, they will overinflate by 2-3 PSI so as not to have the TPMS sensors alert when the pressure drops.

The last 2-3 days have been sort of mild, but we had overnights in the 30's for a week prior to that and getting into November type weather

Now the game is getting my winter tires on before the weather causes the panic at the tire shop but NOT TOO early :)

A local convenience store chain still gives free air as a courtesy. I only need it for work as the company air pump looks like it fell from a plane and the hose has numerous cracks which renders it useless. Pretty short sighted for a company that stores and moves hundreds of cars a month. When we get a car with low air we go to the convenience store, fill the tires and have coffee.

Having an electric pump for my personal cars was the best money I ever spent. That and the battery charger have paid for themselves many times over.

I live walking distance to a Wawa with free air and the sensor that beeps when you hit the preset PSI. Works for me

I do have a crappy compressor but it takes so long I can be up the street and back before it would be done adjusting 4 tires

Ha! Earlier this morning I called to make an appointment at the tire shop for a week from tomorrow to get my tires switched over. The summer-only Bridgestones I have on it right now don't like cooler temps very much.

My tire shop doesn't need appointments for tire work. Usually I hit right as they open to avoid being part of a line

I don't think we have a Discount/American Tire though there are lots of places, and I got 4 new tires last year at Goodyear...Michelin's though.

I like the idea of overinflating when the cooler weather eventually gets here, by then I should be able to do it myself with my new handy dandy air pump machine.

Little Lakeland Florida, population 110,000 has a traffic light where 50 people go through it on the red light every day.

They have equipment that can monitor 4 busy intersections, to see how many cars go through red, yellow or green lights. Lakeland Police Department issued nearly 10,000 citations to red-light runners at those four intersections in 2018 — with 3,289 based on westbound vehicles on Memorial Boulevard alone. They have seen cars go through a red light up to 14 seconds after the light changed to red!

There plan is to have equipment that can tell when a car won't be stopping for a red light.....and it will delay the green light from perpendicular traffic from starting up for 4 delayed seconds.

All good, but, they should come down really hard on the red light runners. And this is just one small friendly town, imagine what is going on in the larger cities!

I thought about doing summer/winter switchovers but it seemed like a lot of trouble. Are both sets on the same diameter rims or do you just have one set of wheels on which you switch your tires?

I used to have to do that for my 2008 BMW 328 hardtop convertible. Get two snow tires into the trunk, wedge 2 into the back seat.......go to the dealer, have them swiched around, then bring back 4 tires the same way, then store them, do it again in the spring. That car could not drive in snow.

Those days are over...never again, only AWD cars and no switching of tires. In fact I won't buy a car model if I have to change the tires for winter.

I mentioned a few days ago a guy who bought a Vette from Carvana only to find it was warranty blocked. Well, he came to his senses and bought a Mustang instead.

    Smart fellow.

Since you spend winters in Florida, having a set of snow tires put on might be considered a frivolous expense. :D

Here it is, almost Halloween, and it was 90 degrees again today. That's the 15th day this month it's hit 90 or above. Hottest October in history (since they started recording temps in the late 1800's). There has to be some truth to the climate warming especially down here. Add the humidity and it's summer-like.

What's just as bad is our low temps - 81+ degrees was our low 13 days so far this month. Forecast is for 90+ degrees for the next 4 days. Yuck!

Wow, we had a little snow last night. 3 in. forecast for Wednesday.

If you turn on the bum warmer, the center console in the E400 gets very warm...not sure about the arm rest as I seldom use it. The other day the console was really hot and my bum warmer wasn't on...I thought maybe my phone caught on fire, but just Mrs D turned her warmer on....full speed for a long time - surprised she doesn't get 3rd degree burns.

On a cold day, it is kind of nice to have that....everything helps, especially a heated steering wheel.

On those cold winter mornings driving the bus I wished for heated steering wheels as the ones we had were nothing more than a plastic coated metal ring. Sucked the heat out of your hands right through the gloves.

In cold weather heated seats are nice but even in hot weather cooled seats feel wet and slimy to me.

I do same rims since at the switch they balance the tires anyway, Plus, carrying just the tires out of the basement is easier than the tires and rims.

It is a shame how the Chrysler brand has been minimized by the current management. But the same is true of Dodge. I can see only one of them continuing, but to me it makes more sense for it to be Chrysler. Or they could drop the Ram brand and give trucks back to Dodge I suppose. However you slice it I think at least one of them will go away.

When we first moved into our home we planted a pussywillow tree. For 4 or 5 years the tree grew very slowly. then one year the darn thing grew around three times its size. Due to that one year of very rapid growth it got the name Frankenbush. As I left for work today Frankenbush was standing tall and proud. Ten minutes later my wife texted me this picture.

    RIP Frankenbush.

Got to agree with you there but I truly think that Chrysler being minimized started with the the first merger of unequals when they joined with MB. I have a bad feeling for Chrysler with this PAS/FCA merger.

I have had 4 Dodges and 1 Chrysler. I feel sad for how this once great car company is slowly dying.

Third time’s the charm I guess.what would PSA offer that Daimler or Fiat couldn’t?
But this isn’t Fiat pawning off Chrysler. Chrysler is but a bit part in this merger. It could feasibly lead to their demise. Make the Pacifica a Dodge, make Ram into Dodge again, and just be Jeep and Dodge sub-brands within PSFA, or whatever it will be called.
Possibly. What does Chrysler have left anyway? Even if they survive, how much more cheaply could you make them? Makes an old Mopar fan sad.
Dodge still has the Charger, Challenger, Durango, and even Caravan. Chrysler is essentially just the Pacifica (is the 300 even a blip on the sales screen anymore?). I see no issues with making the Dodge Pacifica, given its non-existent heritage, but there would be tremendous backlash at a Chrysler Challenger.

If your console warms up, so should the armrest - "warmth and comfort package" heats steering wheel, armrest, console. However, in vehicle settings one can select which items are heated.

Now the game is getting my winter tires on before the weather causes the panic at the tire shop but NOT TOO early :)

Ha! Earlier this morning I called to make an appointment at the tire shop for a week from tomorrow to get my tires switched over. The summer-only Bridgestones I have on it right now don't like cooler temps very much.
I thought about doing summer/winter switchovers but it seemed like a lot of trouble. Are both sets on the same diameter rims or do you just have one set of wheels on which you switch your tires?
I do same rims since at the switch they balance the tires anyway, Plus, carrying just the tires out of the basement is easier than the tires and rims.
I believe it saves the tires too....not the best being put on and taken off the rims each time.

My guess is you are right....I don't use the armrest too often, but I believe it does heat up...but, the console gets really hot, and if I go to open it, I notice how warm it is.

I've mentioned this before, but just before I retired, our Communications/PR guy was driving his '08 Elantra one winter weekend when his wife smelled something burning. Turns out it was his pants, singed by the heated seats. He brought them into the office the next week on his way to show them to the dealer. They looked like he had been standing in a shower of welding sparks, all kinds of little tiny pinholes surrounded by black.

Not necessarily. Go out and cut some of the soft newer shoots from the top. Take the cuttings and just jam them into the ground where it’s moist. Most of them should root without any special preparation. Presto! All the new [non-permissible content removed] willows you could ever want.

Besides, [non-permissible content removed] willow gives the best bloom from newer growth which is why most people cut them back every year.

Oh that’s a hoot! My post about pussywillow was censored because I correctly separated the words! Nice to know that Miss Manners is watching over us. :D

Ok, I went back and corrected a minor typo and the [non permissible content removed] was restored. Is Big Brother watching Miss Manners? :o

You must use the proper name Salix discolor or be shamed for your coarseness by Mr. Vanilla.

3 in. forecast for Wednesday.
woke up this morning to this,

Somewhere out there is a white dog.
Sorry to see all that white stuff. This was the view in front of our house this morning.
