stever - anything new on your on again - off again vehicle hunt? I think I'd call mine a pseudo vehicle hunt. Either wanting '68 Datsun 411 Bluebird's or 2016 Scion iA's and now some wild hair has pointed me towards wanting a 2015/2016 Nissan Versa S 5-speed sedan.

Ahh, just hold with what you've got, young man. OK, not so young man. :p

I would like to try out some other parts of the country. My wife, she seems to be fine staying in one place forever. And freaks out about the idea of getting any further away from upstate NY (where a few family members still reside). I figure that you can just drive a little longer, or fly, and that some adventure is good.

though I also seem to be banging my head against a brick wall trying to convince her that the 2 of us don't need such a big house at this point. Given her ideas, if we finally move, she would get a bigger one. Though she constantly complains about having to clean this one!

I would love to try colorado or Nashville.

Chattanooga is better. B) Ft. Collins was high on our list.

@iluvmysephia1, heard a TED radio talk about too much choice causing buyer's remorse and inertia. I think that's me. There's 558 new '16 and '17 models on Edmunds. Enough to make your head swim.

My latest kick is to track down and test a Chevy Volt.

Looking  forward to seeing CLE at GS in Game 2 of the 2016 NBA Finals tonight. Whew! I have been reading old posts trying to catch up the past couple of days. Around 750 'Cars and Member Conversations' and 550 'CCBA' posts! Those of you who have fallen behind before know what I'm talkin'about!

Nice ta be back on here. Any of you driven a 2015 or 2016 Nissan Versa S sedan? suydam has driven the Versa Note and I believe PF Flyer owns one of each. I'm just researching the 2016 Nissan Versa S sedan 5-speed. There's one in the KC Metro selling for $10,988 in Gun metal grey and 5-speeds that I'd like ta test drive. Very carefully, though. ;)

I have a 2012 Versa hatch and the 2014 Note. The sedan looks a little funny to my eye, but that's because the sedan didn't exist when we got our 2007 Versa hatch :)

Problem is I don't believe you can get safety features like blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert on the Versa. There is a rear camera but that's it.

I spent a lot of time working with HP in Ft Collins. Great place. Nashville I also love. It's been about a dozen years, but I have been to Hawaii several times (had a friend who lived there right after graduation).

Only states I've missed setting foot in is, of all places, ND and Alaska. That's it.

Heading to Belize over July 4th week, though.

(Soon to be x) Wife's Accord is supposed to be going to her Aunt's house next weekend. The Aunt called me last night asking me what I'd buy it for. Don't need another car, although it is super low mileage and loaded (EX-L with Nav)....2013. Apparently, she doesn't want it. The wife has given no indication she's coming back from China and told the Aunt to sell it.

Not sure I would do anything more than flip it, but what say the peanut gallery on the value? It's steel grey, 4 cyl, auto, Nav, leather, roof, about 17,000 miles on the odo.

Like most of Colorado, Ft. Collins is growing by leaps and bounds. But, a nice sized, town, for all that.

And, it's a college community (CSU), so lots of interesting diversions exist.

This would have been perfect for my daughter to get her through college and out into the real world. But she already has a car. Alas.

GG, given the circumstances, I (in your shoes) would stay far away from it. Tell auntie where the nearest Carmax is. They will be all over this buggy like flies on a cow.

Brentwood was a guy I remember following quite a bit. I think he worked tirelessly on real world trade values. Wonder what happened to him? Qbrozen has stepped in to that roll.

He is around, just not active on edmunds. Working at a hyundai dealership in north NJ still, I believe. I was connected to him on facebook, but just killed my facebook account this weekend.

I've been to Hawaii several times in the last few years and absolutely love it. For those traveling from the east coast, it is burdensome - I only started traveling there after moving to Seattle.

Australia is also awesome. My now-wife and I traveled there after our college graduation and spent three weeks seeing Melbourne, Sydney, Ayers Rock, and Cairns. At that time we were living on the East Coast and to get down there, it was a 6 hour flight to LA, 15 hours to Auckland, and another 4 hours to Melbourne. I potentially have a work trip coming up that would take me back and I'm quite excited at the prospect.

PF Flyer - the one that catches my eye is the simple Versa S sedan. They're selling one in the Kansas City Metro area for only $10,988. It's a 5-speed stick and comes in Gun Metal grey. I have learned that the car has the most legroom in the rear of any compact car. It has the 5 year, 60,000 mile powertrain Warranty. I saw one at a Motel 6 we were staying at in Russellville, AR, on the way home from Hot Springs, AR.

It's truly one of those "the more ya learn about the car, the more ya like" kinds of things with iluvmysehia1. You could almost say I'm a Nissan man because, if you guys remember, I totally flipped out about owning one of these:

Actually, I wanted that very '68 Datsun 411 sedan. It sold at an Oklahoma auction for only $3,100. Original selling price at a STL Classic car sales place: $12,900. I am on a very short leash, however, so all of this is probably just...hyperbole. Stay tuned. For the love of cars.

I guess you would say nothing but nice things about Nissan rigs, though, eh, PF Flyer?

I have no excuse. I work from home and the wife usually does too. Both kids out of the high end school distract, though I still pay the taxes for that. Our son got converted to permanent at his job, so is pretty much locked into Albany now. And the princess has no particular desire to come back to this area in 2 years after graduation. She is even spending the summer working in Greensboro.

If there was ever people that should be moving, it is us. Though considering my wife things that every possession and piece of paper that ever came into the house has to remain, maybe I shouldn't push it.

New Mexico has great beaches! :p (not as nice as Colorado's, though).

My neighbor has a beach condo we could drive to over in Guaymas. About a six hour drive from here. And yeah, he rents it out. We've been to Guaymas once before and met an old prospector, Hal, from Colorado hanging out there. He was a terrible driver running around in a Toyota pickup camper. Hal took us to his secret beach and parked in someone's front "yard". The owner came out and we thought, oh, oh, here it comes. Hal goes "hola" and hands the guy a Pacifico from his endless supply in his cooler. No problem. He passed out a good half dozen beers just driving across town after nearly running people over or double-parking. Who needs car nannies?

We got a used loom this morning that looks much like this:

About 5' x 5' by 3' deep, and weighs a ton (rock maple).

Luckily it came apart - might could even transport it in a Soul or Prius V. Probably be a stretch in a Volt.

Guess we'll disappear one of the couches in the living room to make space for it.

I LOVE the price point on the Versa sedan, and I can get it in a manual as well. Perhaps we'll wind up with a Note and a sedan, who knows. Had to replace the serpentine belt on my 2012 today. It was starting to squeak because of chipmunk damage :@

I LOVE HAWAII. My wife and I were there on out honeymoon 11+ years ago. I specifically remember a conversation we had saying we were "definitely" going to make it back for our 10th anniversary and would "try" to make it back for our 5th. A house (after losing money selling a condo) & 3 kids later we are past the 10 year mark. We'll make it back there 1 day.

Took me to my 30th to get back to Bermuda, where we honeymooned. But was worth the wait.

I would live to see Hawaii. But will be a long time before can afford that. And not sure I want to do a flight that long at this point (or 5 years from now!)

The 2012 is at about 66,000, but apparently that's higher in Chipmunk Miles. My oldest daughter still has my 2007 Versa hatch and it's closing in on 180,000. The younger daughter has our 2011 and it's got about 85,000 I think

That bothered me about the Note. We really wanted the manual, but giving up power windows? The CVT has been OK so far (about 62,000 miles) but given the number of people complaining about them, it just sorta makes me edgy, ya know?

Manual windows? Sheesh! I could not live with that in a daily driver. I park in too many parking garages, work every day, gym 3 times a week, movie theater once a week or so. And there are always people lined up behind you, you can't just sit there while you wind up the window.

Call me spoiled, but I would not want anything less than "auto up" power windows.

Exactly, shifty. Call me simple Sam, but that doesn't seem to disqualify the 2016 Nissan Versa S 5-speed stick sedan selling for $10,988, from possible future plans.

Look at that price and meditate on it for 3 minutes without any distractions. With me, I saw the engineer's design  intention looking at that Versa S sedan in Russellville...and...got it. All.

Definitely!  Except for the Civil Defense Air Raid and Atomic Bomb (duck and cover) drills (air raid sirens actually sounded when I was a kid in school), it was a wonderful time in this county's history.  Yes we had Korea, Vietnam, etc., but we never had what is happening in this country right now.  :'(

Can't disagree with this statement - I was born in 1959...so a little late, but, suburban Seattle (Edmonds) was a pretty good place ta grow up. The 60's were somewhat weird, yes, the partying 70's even more so, but, all in all, I had good parents, good homes to live in, and good Seattle rock concerts, sports, and entertainment to enjoy. And Edmonds School District No. 15 gave us quality education for the taking.

I can't tolerate racists, bigots, liars, egotists, criminals, dictators, thieves, terrorists, etc., etc., etc.!  With that being said, I truly and honestly pity what my family and this next generation will be going through in the next 20 years.  I count myself truly lucky that I won't be here to see it happen.  :'(

Ah come on Mike, the guys here at Cars & Conversation aren't that bad! :D
