I see what you mean. On the regular car it is smaller and not so over powering, but it is pretty big on the SUV. I guess they are trying for a unique look, but somehow, it just misses. I think they tried to enhance the Audi grill but just got carried away trying to differentiate it.
I used to be a big Volvo fan back in the days of the "bricks" but not anymore.
Our Used Car Manager used to buy Volvo lease returns at the auction for a couple of thousand dollars "back of book" but it seemed we always had nothing but trouble with them. It got to the point that he was given a directive by our GM to never buy another Volvo, Audi, Volkswagen or (especially) a Land Rover or a Jaguar. When cars like these were traded in they were usually wholesaled. We just didn't need the trouble and the unhappy customers.
I'm sure they aren't ALL bad cars but it seemed there was always "something" wrong and they were very expensive to fix.

I had just read a glowing review of the Infinity Q50 Eau Rouge.....560 hp, 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds. I like the looks of the car, and they seem to have made a much nice Audi type grill than Lexus did.
However, Infinity is developing Direct Adoptive Steering (DAS) which gives you steering by wire, steering is controlled via computer, not a direct link.

The sleep number is nice, but you can get a memory foam for much, much less, and mine is wonderful. I highly recommend it. And you don't have to spend thousands on a name brand like Temperpedic (sp?). Try looking at WalMart online, that's where I bought mine.

I can't imagine myself buying a car with that "lack of road feel handling ability" for myself. My CLS has electronic steering like most new cars have and I do feel the road when driving. When the engine shuts down at a traffic light, my power steering continues to work. Just the AC shuts down (compressor) but the ventilation continues to operate.
I was very involved in Infiniti when I was a sales manager, as most of you might remember. Infiniti vehicles are excellent in performance and handling and, now, even outstanding styling. Their interiors are designed more for the individual who likes a sporty decor rather than a luxurious decor as evidenced buy their usage of lots of aluminum trim.
They are not leaders in fuel economy as we know, but more into speed and performance.

About 6 or 7 weeks ago, IIRC, we were discussing Fusion vs. Mach III blades and the number of shaves we could get with each. I had just received a gift from Gillette of a Fusion razor and blade. I commented at the time that it was the closest shave I had ever gotten from a razor.
Well, today is the 40th shave I have gotten from the fusion razor so far with no end in sight as of this morning. The shave was as close and smooth today as it was last month when I had my first shave.
So, in comparison, the Fusion provides a better shave for twice as long as the Mach III and is not twice the price. Anyone else have the same longevity experience with the Fusion?
I mentioned before that I get about 30 shaves from a Fusion blade which was about twice as long as my old Mach III.
My last Fusion blade I tossed after 15 shaves because it got caught in a hair brush in my travel bag and actually cut some of the plastic bristles. When I used it the next day it sort of tugged and ripped the whiskers rather than cut.

I'll begin by noting that the 2015 Challenger receives some significant upgrades besides the availability of the mega-horsepower Hellcat; the 8 speed ZF autobox and a "Super Track Pak" are now available with the V6. And a new interior manages to look both more modern and more retro at the same time.
As for the 2014 I drove, I can sum it up in two words: Big Cruiser. And I don't mean that as a slam. The thing is huge- 198" long and 4,000 pounds. Still, the 305 bhp Pentastar does a decent job of moving the big sled down the road; while a 0-60 in the mid sixes and a 15 second quarter mile cannot be considered even remotely fast, it is adequate for this car's intended purpose. And it is relatively efficient, averaging 29 mpg at an 80 mph cruise. The 5 speed automatic works OK, but it isn't all that responsive in manual shift mode. And I think that the sideways autostick function is beyond moronic; left to downshift, right to upshift? Which imbecile gave the green light to that?
Handling is again, adequate. While I would prefer much tighter shock damping and roll stiffness, the person who buys this car is never going to come close to pushing it to its modest limits. Steering effort was high(which most drivers think-wrongly-equates to steering feel) but not very communicative. Still, it was fine for the type of driving this car encourages. Ditto for the brakes. The car is a brilliant interstate cruiser, quietly soaking up most every road imperfection with little to no floating or wallowing- it felt almost European as opposed to a domestic land yacht.
I liked the interior; the cloth seats(with power lumbar support) were at least as comfortable as the base seats in my wife's E90 328i but not nearly as comfortable as BMW Sport seats or the chairs in my MS3. The base sound system sounded remarkably good. The trunk is cavernous, and the lid uses gas struts so no hinges intrude on the trunk space.
The V6 is just not my kind of car, but it is perfect for the demographic it is aimed at. As for me, if I had the money and garage space I'd buy an SRT just to take to cruise nights and for longer trips with two passengers.

Mid sixes is not considered fast any more? Wow! That's about the best my Eclipse will do. Maybe that's why I crave some v8 muscle.

When the Challenger first was introduced I loved the design and thought they did a great job capturing the spirit of the original. Then I saw one in the flesh and realized it was massive. The car is just way too big (the Camaro also suffers from this problem). I saw one a few years ago parked next to the original car at a show and the new one is just ridiculously oversized - it is especially apparent in the rear view. I still look when I see one on the road but realize that it really is a 2-door Charger. Like most Chrysler products now, it almost always comes with a black interior only too, which is another turn-off. Too bad.

Fortunately, my chiropractor made himself a dealer and was passing them through to his customers at cost, so I only paid about $1100 for the California King. So pretty near the cost of a high-end spring mattress. I have no doubt this will last a very long time. While I wouldn't consider it the most comfortable bed in the world, it has helped my back issues immensely.
Not too long ago, I got one of those Amazon ones for my son. I think it was $200 or so for the thicker model (Twin). I really like that one. It is softer than our Tempurpedic. Not sure if it will have the longevity of ours, but, for the money, I'd say its a good compromise.

Thanks to all who responded to my request for information about Sleep Number beds. After careful consideration - including reading unbiased reviews and comparisons on the web - we've decided to stand pat on getting a new bed for the time being.
If anything, we may go the route of a memory foam mattress next time around.
The next home improvement item for us are some new window coverings for the home office and the window on the landing of our stairs.

Q...that's what we did. I bought the Tempurpedic through my chiropractor at cost, too. I think it was about the same price you paid......or about ½ of retail. I find it comfortable, and sleep well.
The best I ever had though was from a company called Dormia. They and a store in one of the nicer areas of Cincinnati. But, the old one I had was about 15 years old, and started to sag a bit. When I went to buy another, their store was gone.

Back in the early 80's a good friend of mine was given a 60's Era Volvo station wagon with around 300k miles on it, it was given to him by his uncle. It wasn't much to look at, handling was ok but that car was built to last. My friend took it to over 450k miles before he got rid of it. And he didn't sink to much into it to keep it running.

Yeah I tried a Fusion. I did get a lot of good shaves from it but in the end I went back to the inexpensive Gillette disposables. For the price of on Fusion I can get a bunch of the Gillettes and the price per close shave with the Gillette is actually less.
Speaking of the Fusion my son just switched to the Fusion. However it gives him a rather lousy shave but it does have Bluetooth and leather seats.

mattress "topper" at Costco. I think it was around 200.00.

You just have to make sure your bottom sheet fits.

Very well detailed from the photos, but in profile it looks more like a station wagon than an SUV. As to the price, it looks like a printing error. The car seems overpriced by $10K.
I think you will love it. Price seems a little high to me...just a guess but 3 or 4 years old should be about 60% of original cost price I would think.
I highly recommend a bmw extended warranty.
I also prefer the lighter color interiors...that's something you may want to see to compare.

Mid sixes is not considered fast any more? Wow! That's about the best my Eclipse will do. Maybe that's why I crave some v8 muscle.

I am a poor craftsman.....I can't make or fix anything. The last thing I made was a wooden shelf in grade 8 shop class and it was crooked. Maybe I fit the demographic for sticking to the regular Mach 3.

When the Challenger first was introduced I loved the design and thought they did a great job capturing the spirit of the original. Then I saw one in the flesh and realized it was massive. The car is just way too big (the Camaro also suffers from this problem). I saw one a few years ago parked next to the original car at a show and the new one is just ridiculously oversized - it is especially apparent in the rear view. I still look when I see one on the road but realize that it really is a 2-door Charger. Like most Chrysler products now, it almost always comes with a black interior only too, which is another turn-off. Too bad.

I think y'all know I love my Volvos.
On the bed issue, we bought a Tempurpedic I think around 7-8 yrs ago. Fortunately, my chiropractor made himself a dealer and was passing them through to his customers at cost, so I only paid about $1100 for the California King. So pretty near the cost of a high-end spring mattress. I have no doubt this will last a very long time. While I wouldn't consider it the most comfortable bed in the world, it has helped my back issues immensely.
Not too long ago, I got one of those Amazon ones for my son. I think it was $200 or so for the thicker model (Twin). I really like that one. It is softer than our Tempurpedic. Not sure if it will have the longevity of ours, but, for the money, I'd say its a good compromise.

Thanks to all who responded to my request for information about Sleep Number beds. After careful consideration - including reading unbiased reviews and comparisons on the web - we've decided to stand pat on getting a new bed for the time being.
If anything, we may go the route of a memory foam mattress next time around.
The next home improvement item for us are some new window coverings for the home office and the window on the landing of our stairs.

that price is pretty nuts. As a trade, you'd be lucky to be offered $29k for it. Let's say it hits their lot at $31k to be generous. Add $2500 CPO and $2k profit and let's say $2k negotiating room and they are still $2500 over a reasonable asking price.

Q...that's what we did. I bought the Tempurpedic through my chiropractor at cost, too. I think it was about the same price you paid......or about ½ of retail. I find it comfortable, and sleep well.
The best I ever had though was from a company called Dormia. They and a store in one of the nicer areas of Cincinnati. But, the old one I had was about 15 years old, and started to sag a bit. When I went to buy another, their store was gone.
Worse than that. The 2014 Mustang GT is listed at 3575 and the Challenger Rt (V8) is 4082, a whopping 507 pounds.
That has to effect every area of performance.
As to length: Challenger 198" Mustang 188.5"-----my Eclipse is 179".

Agreed - while I like the car that is not the price I am willing to pay. We shall see, we may just hold off all together.

Back in the early 80's a good friend of mine was given a 60's Era Volvo station wagon with around 300k miles on it, it was given to him by his uncle. It wasn't much to look at, handling was ok but that car was built to last. My friend took it to over 450k miles before he got rid of it. And he didn't sink to much into it to keep it running.

Yeah I tried a Fusion. I did get a lot of good shaves from it but in the end I went back to the inexpensive Gillette disposables. For the price of on Fusion I can get a bunch of the Gillettes and the price per close shave with the Gillette is actually less.
Speaking of the Fusion my son just switched to the Fusion. However it gives him a rather lousy shave but it does have Bluetooth and leather seats.

Instantly we had a Termpurpedic! Wonderful results!
You just have to make sure your bottom sheet fits.
The NX in the US will have a slightly different nose. I read that by making it more pointed so it has a better approach angle, the NX qualifies as a truck for CAFE standards.

Very well detailed from the photos, but in profile it looks more like a station wagon than an SUV. As to the price, it looks like a printing error. The car seems overpriced by $10K.
I think you will love it. Price seems a little high to me...just a guess but 3 or 4 years old should be about 60% of original cost price I would think.
I highly recommend a bmw extended warranty.
I also prefer the lighter color interiors...that's something you may want to see to compare.
