.00055 and 60% residual is what we show.

But, with your numbers, I get around $529/mo.... not sure how they came up with $505.

No MF yet for 2016, which leads me to believe the standard MF is being used (.00170 or so).

36/10 for 2016 AWD Tech is 63%.

The base MF on the 2015 MDX is .00055; your dealer is jacking that way up on you. 36/12 residual should be 60% for FWD Base, not 58% - dealer is not allowed to change the residual value.

With your MSRP and "balance", I get a payment of $406.10/mo with $0 down.

Dealer needs to sharpen their pencil (or replace the batteries in their calculator).

As more stock of the 2016's arrive, deals should get better on remaining 2015 stock. But, as supply dwindles, your chances of getting the color or equipment you want becomes more of a challenge.

There is a bunch of mumbo jumbo about $3,000 cash rebate / $1,060.09 inception fee / $1,939.91 excess cash-rebate equity but I don't see or understand where this factors in.

I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice... I don't want any down payment and don't understand the $2,176.39 mark up. They are making plenty of $$ on the lease and service.

There is only one MF for all MDX's - .00055.

If you aren't getting the sell price you want, it may be time to reach out to another Acura dealer.

No reason not to ask about the $500 - if you don't ask, you don't get.

Work to get the best sell price and make sure the MF isn't marked up .. that will translate to the lowest payment.

The 24 month lease will be a lot higher... because the spread between residuals isn't that large. They just aren't incentivizing that term. Plus, your fixed costs are spread over fewer months (acquisition fee, etc).

The 24 month lease will be a lot higher... because the spread between residuals isn't that large. They just aren't incentivizing that term. Plus, your fixed costs are spread over fewer months (acquisition fee, etc).

Last question... if I have a lease forgiveness offer (I have 3 more months on the lease but they will take it now and forgive miles... we are over 45,000) from my current dealer can I use that at another dealer? Meaning, can I price compare/deal with other deals using the offer or is that something that is dealer specific? I do still plan to see what others are offering but want to make sure if another offer is better I am good to go.

There is only one MF for all MDX's - .00055.

If you aren't getting the sell price you want, it may be time to reach out to another Acura dealer.

No reason not to ask about the $500 - if you don't ask, you don't get.

Work to get the best sell price and make sure the MF isn't marked up .. that will translate to the lowest payment.

The 24 month lease will be a lot higher... because the spread between residuals isn't that large. They just aren't incentivizing that term. Plus, your fixed costs are spread over fewer months (acquisition fee, etc).

Last question... if I have a lease forgiveness offer (I have 3 more months on the lease but they will take it now and forgive miles... we are over 45,000) from my current dealer can I use that at another dealer? Meaning, can I price compare/deal with other deals using the offer or is that something that is dealer specific? I do still plan to see what others are offering but want to make sure if another offer is better I am good to go.

Well ... the dealer is saying they will "forgive" the obligations on the current lease (3 payments plus mileage), but in reality, this is a trade in. It has a specific pay off value (you can get that number from whatever bank you are paying now) and a specific value as trade (go to the "Real World Trade In Values" discussion to get a fair appraisal from our in-house experts). You may find you have more equity that you realize - if you do, you can use this to your advantage in the negotiations.

And, this is true for any dealer you decide to work with.

Oh, I see 18,000 miles per year ... that will reduce the residual by about $900-$2200. Which will increase the payment by $25-68/mo.

It's possible that the sell price and the net cap cost used by the dealer is not the same. Ask them to bridge the gap for you.

I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice... I don't want any down payment and don't understand the $2,176.39 mark up. They are making plenty of $$ on the lease and service.

Using your MSRP and Total cap cost, my number is only .01 off the dealer quote (rounding issue, I suspect). The dealer is using the base MF and the correct residual.

I'm a bit confused by all the extra numbers, as well. They want you to write them a check for $2534.91? If the 1825.80 is really cap cost reduction and you want to waive it, the payment will go up about $54/mo (1825.80 / 36 + tax).

Not sure you can get an MDX for invoice cost - use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to help establish a good target price.

In the past we have gotten the cap cost reduce because we selling price was not much higher than dealer cost... that is why paying $1,825 upfront seems crazy... best price for base+tech is around $46.2K based on the dropdown tabs on this site not $47.9K as quoted by dealer.

2015: .00055 MF is only good for leases up to 36 months. Residual is 61% for 36 months, 53% for 48 months.

I'm not sure of the money factor for 48 months, but it may be substantially higher.

2016: Residuals are 64% for 36/10 and 56% for 48/10. Don't know the money factors.

The highest mileage allowance that we have residuals for is 15K/yr. I would not assume a set percentage lower for higher numbers than that.
