That's w/ destination, no TTL or anything else.
I was hoping to get my accord at around 18400-18500 w/ destination no TTL, which doesn't seem to be an outrageous price looking at what other people are getting it for.
Are you also in the same situation as i am?
Thanks for any additonal opinion/info.
Thanks for your help.
My car is a EX-L Coupe with Factory Tinted windows as the only added option.
Before tax+fees in California, the price I paid was $21,558.93. OTD is $23,600.
the last part of it reads....
(TTL not included when giving OTD prices for that reason)
the price was before TTL, I was trying to indicate there was no benefit to giving an OTD price because 1) I don't know what the TTL is as I live in another state and have a couple of weeks before I have to title it and pay tax, and 2) if you are a Ga. resident it will be different anyway.
Sorry for any confusion
$21,450 was a good price for EX-L, AT, 4 dr, with pinstripes and mudflaps
Looks like we both got great deals then.
Car: 2006 Accord Sedan Automatic, LX SE
(includes mud guards, edge trim, wheel trim, mats, alarm and tint)
7 year, 100000 mile warranty for any mechanical failure
3 year, 36000 mile warranty for roadside etc, free towing, etc.. every 3750 miles, free oil change, tire rotation, etc..
OTD: 17242$, tradein was $4400,
Mileage when bought.. 4miles
Color: Silver
im satisfied with the end price.. thought i could get more with trade in but i gave in..
It was a typo - I'm thinking about getting in the market. I'm in LA area - it appears that 1,000 to 1,500 below invoice would be a good price ... at least looking at the other postings.
David
traded in a 98 civic, trade in value was between 4300 and 5000, i looked back at my papers i got it up to 4933.. i intend to put more money down though to lessen my payments.. plus i hvae no credit history so the interest rate for me is not great. but i can live with the payments..
Edmunds doesn't yet list used prices for 2006 Accords. Kelley Blue Book prices the same 2006 Accord, Used with 10,000 miles, from a private party, for $22,040 in "Excellent" condition, $20,760 in "Good" condition.
Edmunds' True Cost to Own (TCO) on the 2006 Accord includes first year depreciation of $3,254, which suggests the used price for this 2006 model should be more like $18,300.
Is the KBB pricing wrong? Is the TCO depreciation too high? Any insights would be appreciated.
So don't count on getting some low price on a one year old Honda. It rarely happens. Shop smart, get a great price using everyone's examples as a guide, and buy new for less than used.
What do you think? Good or need more work?
The quote I got was decent $18,450 for a Accord SE auto i4 sedan, but from what I've read on this thread, I feel like I have a little more room to negotiate.
Am I right?
if i am wrong.. dont chastise me.. i was just going by what my dealer laid out on the table for me.
as per your 18450.. if you dont have a trade in, they may renegotiate.. if you do, they wont budge unless they are high-volume .. i was lucky to get the price i got with tint, mudguards, edge/wheel trim thrown in..
1) Any idea when the '06 Accords inventories will "run out" at most dealerships? I am betting the rebates will last until they are gone.
2) Will the refreshed '06 Accord model just go through the '07 model year or will it run through '08?
Anyone with ideas I would appreciate it. I am trying to get convinced to buy a new one now or drive my '98 Accord another year.
I'm in Western New York and lowest OTD I could get for an LX, SE manual is 20,200.
Selling Price = $22,490
Out the Door Price = $23,900 (including Tax Title ..)
Let me know if this is a good price or if there is any room for negotiation.
Thanks.
For a V6 with the same specs received the same $25900 from both dealers.
So your number looks very high - remember that Honda is giving incentives to the dealers and they should pass on to you.
Good luck in your search.
We (my wife and I) went to that dealer yesterday at 3:00PM. We tested an LX. The external/internal features are ok, and the handling is good enough. The color was not what we want, but the manager told us he can the right color. He found a new golden color LX with 4100 miles at price of $500 below $18,995. We refused to take that car as a new one. The manager then tried to get one from other dealer. In the mean time, we did some pre-paper work. We need finance, so we ask for the interest rate we can get before we would make decision (I think this request was reasonable). The funny thing was that the dealer would not give the interest rate. At around 6:00PM, we were out of luck. The dealer can't got right color, and we still wouldn't get the interest rate. At this point we headed home.
paid $18,500+tax and other fees... and bought extended warratny too!
Invoice for the EX-V6-822 (holdback)-750 for the incentive -any other rebates or incentives that I don't know about. You negotiate up from that number. My understanding is dealers like 5% profit, but will settle for 3% because they always have there little fees (doc, prep.) to make up for giving you a decent deal. I will note, however, that I have been very disappointed with the internet quotes. My quotes have ranged from 23,997-25,750 for an EX-V6 Coupe. I have been told it is easier to fax the dealers to get the quotes, and some dealers in my area call you to set up an appointment and all together avoid giving a quote before you get in the showroom.
I haven't tried the fax thing. I will let you know how it goes.
i'm pretty sure i'm going to buy it for the same price. i'm guessing you got a web quote from them.
did you try negotiating down a little further?
really looking forward to your replies b/c it's pretty much the same situation i'm in. when'd you purchase?
oh yeah, enjoy your car.
i'm looking for my accord in black.
2. Even with the $750 or $1000 incentives, does it make sense to buy a car that within a matter of weeks will have already depreciated by a whole year?
2. Yes-if you keep it several years and save 2-3000 over the next years model. After 5 years of depreciation there is only a few thousand difference between a 2006 and a 2007. You can also get a great new car on the cheap. BTW slow depreciation is an Accord trademark. A 28,000 Accord for 24,000 is a deal anytime IMHO.
That in includes Tag Tax and Title..
I dont remember the Exact price for the car but Tax is 5% and tag and title is $200....
VP: $17,509.00
LX: $19,109.00
LX SE: $19,878.00
Based on what I have been reading these prices seem to be quite a bit higher than many other's have been paying for these vehicles. Am particularily interested in hearing from anyone who has purchased an Accord in the San Antonio/Austin and Houston area recently to learn what they have paid for their vehicle and which dealership
What kind of finance rates from Honda is everyone getting? I can get %5.25 from a Credit Union in the area for 4 years and %5.5 for 5 years. Is Honda going any lower than that?
Thanks,
Robert
BTW Robert what quote you are getting for your EX-L??
Thanks
Here's my prices from dealerships near me in Odenton Maryland for the EX-L 4 cylinder without Navi.
O'Donnell Honda of Ellicott City - $21,068
Honda of Bowie - $21,569 destination charge included
Ourisman Honda of Laurel - $21,395
None of these include the sales tax, title & tags, and processing fees. Also there's the options they like to add in as well such as wheel locks and the pinstripes.
I used the Internet for quotes and haven't started any negotiations yet.
Robert
In any case, it turned out for the best because I sent in an internet quote at Autowest and the next day I got a price much lower than I had expected. I would highly recommend this route (I got the idea from another post on this board). Including Destination: 17.6k + TTL.
...and I love my new car
