I bought my Accord in Tennessee and paid Arkansas sales tax to Arkansas. $0 to tennessee. I suppose if I lived in a state with no sales tax or use tax on vehicles then it might be different. But, I don't know about these no sales tax states. I think you have to pay something. In AR, we pay 7%sales tax on new cars ; while my son in Virginia only has to pay 3% to the state on his new car. A substantial difference anyway. You pay the state where the car will be licensed and tags issued
Good point, some people are getting a lot under invoice. As for me, still no luck, I called a few sales people with no luck on getting below invoice for LX. Maybe EX and EX-L will get you under invoice.
the price for the car including delivery was 17605 and 295 for title/paperwork. There is no sales tax but the registry fee was close to 500 you pay this at town hall. I put 3000 cash down no trade in.
FYI I got 1000 under invoice quote from McDavid honda in Dallas over the internet w/o any problem this week. Also, Try carsdirect.com. Prices can range about $2-3000 depending on your location. The 90210 (S. Cal) zipcode seems to the lowest price on Hondas and Acuras. FYI, My favorite Accord goes for almost 26,000 in Memphis and under 24,000 in Cal according to carsdirect. Good luck!
Here's my deal on an Accord SE V-6 Automatic here in Northern Virginia.
Price including freight ($595): $19, 482.43 Processing: $299 3% VA tax: 593.44 Dealer's Business License tax: $33.63 Tags etc.: $61.50
OTD: $20, 470.00
Got quotes from a few, one real low. Turns out they'd priced a 4 cylinder instead of the V-6. The low quoter came back with another quote after talking to them on the phone, which may (or may not, who knows) have been better than otherwise. I then shopped that quote around. Other folks would match but not lower the original offer.
Picked the dealer (Bill Page Honda) that had the colors I was interested in (silver and cool blue), drove a couple. Tried to get them to come down below $20,000 but they wouldn't do it. I left in the evening without signing or putting money down, but decided to go with their price the next day.
Salesman did mention that Honda was only giving back $750, which is why they couldn't go lower. Who can say if that was an accurate statement based on what others are thinking...
Still, pretty happy with the car and the price. It was pretty painless at the dealership, with a soft sell on the extras. Salesman John Vu was low-key and helpful.
I am in the market for an Accord EX. I have sent out quote requests from 9 different dealerships. The lowest quote I received is 20,899 including destination. I also got another quote of 20,406 though I am trying to confirm if that includes destination. I was hoping to get in the mid 19,500 range though it doesn't look like it. I am here in Indianapolis.
I am pretty sure Lisle Honda (west suburb of Chicago) will do it for around 19,500. I am in the market too, please tell me how it goes if you contact them.
I posted earlier but picked up the car in Milwaukee on Saturday and they honored their internet pricing.
Silver 2007 EX-L AT V-6 Sedan - $22,617 + $89 doc fee + TTL
Overall a good experience accessories were installed and paperwork ready to go when we arrived.
Sounds like I missed out on the low financing as 6.04% was the lowest they were willing to go. Oh well, my wife loves her new car so that is what matters more. Even though I still think she secretly enjoys my 6-speed 06 TL.
The current dealer incentive is not "money-direct". It's the set up for the 2008 inventory. For every two 2007 models they sell, they will get three 2008 models for them to make money on in September. They know with the 2008 models will be where they make the big money. They are basically done with the 2007 models, so they're just trying to unload their "loss" (which is our "gain").
I wish .. Im just not seeing that in my area. I have found zero data (by calling and internet/email quote shopping) that shows that anything other than the 4.9 for 60 is in effect.
Your price was exceptional--the other price is almost unbelievable. Some buyers are still paying 25,000 or more for that EXL V-6 and think they got a good deal.
I emailed Lisle Honda and they quoted me 19,595. Sounds like a great deal. Though it is 4 hours away and I heard IL tax is higher than IN. The best quote I have received is 20,899 and they are not going any lower. That includes destination. I see these quotes for EX-L V6 and I hate it. No good prices here in the midwest.
I think you pay the tax in your home state to get your new car licensed--despite buying it in another state. i.e. I bought a car in Tennessee and paid Arkansas its 7% sales tax to get my tags. Tennessee received nothing as far as I know. BTW, What are your disappointing Midwest quotes for the EXL V-6?
Dealer was Wilde Honda and I don't think we spoke via email but feel free to drop me a line. Salesman was a good guy so I could give you his name if you like.
$19,595.00 Accord EX 4dr auto $57.33 Doc Fee $25.00 ERT Fee $1,328.00 Tax at 6.75% $143.00 Plates ------------------------------------ $21,148.33 Is the Out the door Price
I didn't know that about the taxes. I have seen EXL V-6 for mid 22s and I am only getting 20899 for the best quote here in Indiana. I am not pricing the EXL V-6. Thanks for the info.
Hi every one I'm new to this forum, I want to buy the Accord EX-L Sedan Auto V6 w/NAV I need help for getting the new car anybody out there get that kind and how much you guy paid for, any infor will be appriciate Thank
After reading deals for the EX Sedan I4 AT in States other than AZ ($20414 + TTL, $19595 + TTL, $19895 + TTL, $20,200 + TTL, $19652 + TTL), I wish I was in another State!
The lowest price I've been quoted (after much back and forth) is $20,200 + TTL + $349 doc fee. Plus, the taxes in AZ are 8.01% and license is $412!
Anyone else have other quotes for an EX Sedan I4 AT in AZ?
Things aren't going so good here in KC. The lowest I have been offered is 24,300 for an LX V6 sedan. I had an internet quote for 22,625 + 150 doc fee, 4 hours away in St Louis. The Manager here local called me a liar and said I better go buy it. Every dealer here in KC said there is no way they can deal that low. So, I may be taking a trip to St Louis.
I received an email from a dealer that said Honda is now offering 3.99% for 36 months or 4.99% for 48 or 60 months. He said it was only offered on the V6 models. Has anyone else heard of this??
I live about 20 miles from Lisle. I received a similar e-mail from Lisle Honda. I am uncertain how the "group buy" thing works. But maybe someone can clarify how we can use the buying from two individuals, to our advantage. I think there's a chance we could lower it to $19,500?
The prices you guys are getting are almost unbelievable!! For me, its between the 07 Camry or 07 Accord. However, the way things are going, i am still dreaming that in about 30 to 45 days, i can get an 07 EX-L with NAV OTD for $25K!! Camry deals are not even close to that. Wish me luck!
Where did you get that quote? The best I've received is 24,1000 for the non-nav EX-L 6 cylinder from a Dallas dealer and I have to drive 400 miles to pick it up. Thanks
Okay if you want good prices, Contact Mike Patton Honda in LaGrange Georgia. They are a non for profit dealership!! They literally are selling their EX-L's for a selling price of 21k.They are selling accords starting at 17k. Trust me, you won't be sorry! Give them a call! They also have 3 EX-L accords just arriving soon off the truck! They will ship to your door and still beat any "normal" dealer, because they don't have to mark their cars up. Call them today! They have limited accords left! Any questions, let me know. Check their website too. This is awesome, and they are very friendly! Best dealership ever!!
I'm with ya BVD, they just gave me a price of 20,900.00 on an 07 v6 Accord SE OTD price. I think I can do 500.00 better in a couple of weeks. I will keep you posted. BTW ask for Kathy.
Thanks for the offer I was just curious. I bought from Zimbrick Honda in Madison 1 month ago. I wanted to deal with Wilde as I have read good stuff about them on the boards but they wouldnt touch my offer.....not even @ all ....

Thanks,
David
Good luck!
