You should be able to buy this car for $2,000 under invoice. I was able to get this price by requesting quotes via email (using Honda's or Edmund's web site) from the Honda dealers in the suburbs west of Philly. Good luck.

Closed a lease deal last night on '07 Accord EX 4-cyl AT.

After much huggling with DCH Paramus Honda it came down to this: $1000 total at closing, $216/mo + NYC tax (to be registered in NYC) = $234/mo for 36mo -12,000mi/yr. The $1000 at signing includes the bank fee, the 1st mo. payment and whatever else the dealership wants to charge (doc fee, registration, titel, etc. etc.).

Not the best of deals: the sale price comes down to 20,500 incl. freight; but the best NJ dealers were willing to put into lease.

I haven't been following the selling prices, but that seems like an awfully cheap price for driving car..

Even if you amortize the $1000 over the 36 months and add tax, you are still around $279/mo... Hard to drive a new $20K+ car any cheaper than that...

Accord leases are really cheap... I leased in '99 and '01, and $300/mo. including tax was a killer deal for 3yr/36K..

    regards,

You posted a great otd price (19735) but my car was not missing paint or dented, whatever is wrong on your deal? I saw where you have posted elsewhere on this site with problems on your car. The price I posted (20400) is realistic for anyone to get at most anytime of day. The deals made and posted here do not always mention trade-in or finance (warranty) and this is where most dealers make-up on profit. People reading about great purchase prices should keep in mind the car dealer is in business to make a profit and will sell a few at below invoice but at the same time is looking to make-up money somewhere else in the deal.

OK I need the name of that dealer! I live in Seattle too and need to pick up a new Accord for that price. Thanks
  • iglightiglight Member Posts: 15
It's really $766 to amortize since the 1st payment is a part of the $1000... comes out to $255/mo...the current Accord EX 4cyl lease deal is terrific at .00065 money factor = 1.56% = almost interest-free :)

Amazingly enough, even with the papers from a signed deal I can't get a matching quote from anybody in NJ (I'm looking for a second Accord, DCH Honda will match the deal but I want better)
  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 267,279
    Yeah... I think I amortized $784... plus 8.375% tax?

A very nice car for that price..

I haven't tried them yet, but will now. Will Honda ever offer any specials for the 2007 Accords as the new design is coming out next year?

Anybody purchased a new EX-L with navigation lately? If so, what price did you pay and what kind of financing did you get? Thanks.

  • zswxzswx Member Posts: 55
I think that's a super deal! More than $3k below invoice, and 1k cheaper than my OTD. Btw, is it manual or auto?
  • hostnesshostness Member Posts: 22
Can you tell me the dealer name and if I can get a copy of your quote if you got something online?

I'd REALLY appreciate it as I'm going down to socal this weekend to buy that same exact car.

    Hi Bensul,

How did your price break down. Did the 20750 include shipping or other fees ? I'm here in the midwest and having trouble even finding an LX. I'm looking at it for the power seat. Without it my knees drive into the dash board. The cantilever device on the SE rachets the seat up AND forward. The power seat allows me to raise the seat while being in the back position. Can also tilt with it.

    Thanks in advance!

I am planning to buy a new honda accord EXLV6. What is the best price anywhere getting on this 07 model. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Did anybody buy this model this month and what did they pay?
  • louisnlouisn Member Posts: 110
Best I have seen reported was 22,500--Also 23,200--Assuming they are not hype. No guarantees/ seems VERY LOW.
Cars Direct shows right at 23,800 for that model in Southern Cal--Higher elsewhere--Some areas almost 26,000. I have received a quote for 24,100 from Dallas. Go to CarsDirect.com or edmunds.com and you can get idea. Seems like 1500-2000 under invoice is VERY common.
  • megankpmegankp Member Posts: 17
Wow, that is a good price. Can you also email me the dealership and break down of the price for your car? My email address is MeganKHP at gmail dot com. Thanks!
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
Sales guy called me this eve to let me know that special financing is being offered on the accord starting 7.17.
  • cyrusdcyrusd Member Posts: 25
I've just purchase that model without Nav. Here's my invoice:

    Selling price: $23,284
    State sales tax (6.25%): $1,455.25
    Documentary: $55
    State insp. $21
    Dealer inventory tax: $60.68
    Lic. & Reg. Fees: 105.30
    Total: $24,981

Somebody said that's pretty high at this time. I don't know, but that was the lowest one I got in Houston. Other dealers couldn't sell it under $25,200 OTD.
  • bensulbensul Member Posts: 12
$20750 price included the destination charge but tax, title and license are extras. my out-the-door is $22,758.16. i believe you're right about the lx v6 being hard to find. the dealer where i purchased mine, they only have one lx v6 left and it is a white color. here in socal, the dealers are very willing to deal and match any legitimate offers that you present. hope you find that elusive lx v6 in your area.
  • ddwmewddwmew Member Posts: 42
Can you post the APR and models on the special financing? Also is this a regional or national promotion?
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
I thought he said 5.9 (I was in a loud restaurant) but the current honda incentives all show 4.9 for 60. I hope its the 4.9 obviously.

I am def. buying an v6EXLwNav and he knows this so that rate will def. play on that trim. He did say that "..Honda just released special financing on Accords...".
  • jb_turnerjb_turner Member Posts: 702
This is very high for the Houston area. What matters is that you are satisfied.
  • nycarguy1nycarguy1 Member Posts: 8
You did nicely it seems. My LX-V6 was last on lot at a NYC dealership. OTD $23,500. Rides very nicely.
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
Im seeing these cars in my area above invoice on edmunds and carsdirect.

I really don't understand Honda's strategy on this. I passed up a 26K deal last month thinking they would get cheaper only to find them 1000 more expensive this month.
  • ddwmewddwmew Member Posts: 42
Just received an email from a local dealer advertising the following below. The ad does not state terms (36, 48, 60 months)of the loan.

*As Low as 3.99% Financing on all V-6 Accords
  • chrylsersrt8chrylsersrt8 Member Posts: 31
Edmunds has not posted the dealer cash yet

Can anyone confirm what it is ?
  • smackldogsmackldog Member Posts: 82
    ddwmew --

    Welcome back! :)

Have you taken delivery yet, or still shopping to see if there are any new offers/deals? ;)

I'm guessing that the 3.99% on V-6 Accords may be a local dealer deal where the dealer is buying down the rate, unless Honda hasn't updated their website yet, but I'm seeing their commercials on TV ("Mr. Opportunity") advertising their 2007 Clearance event.

  • 06asmsi06asmsi Member Posts: 12
19894.00 plus TTL 2007 Accord V6 SE Sedan. Thanks and I was talking about the SE not EXL V6 with Nav
  • louisnlouisn Member Posts: 110
23,200 is high for a a V-6 EX Accord???--That's about as good as I've seen that passes the laugh test. INVOICE is 25,100 or so. Where can i get one cheaper?
  • myfunkycoupemyfunkycoupe Member Posts: 5
I drove home an Accord Coupe EXL for $23,593. This is in MD just outside of DC.

I am happy with the price though I may have been able to have done better. However, the service was IMPECCABLE and I cannot say that for the vast majority of the other dealers I had dealt with.

    Hi,

Please post details - is this manual or automatic? Where bought? It appears to be a great price - did you have trade-in? What were the fees?

  • gordon_chengordon_chen Member Posts: 2
i got my accord in cerritos honda dealership.. it's an auto and silver with grey cloth

i did not have a trade in

as for fees.. tax was like 8% (not sure if it was 7.75 or 8.25. I didn’t pay attention to the finance guy)? and then there was about $300 dollars in fees

i guess i'll tell you guys how it went down.. so my parents have been wanting to get me a car for a while.. i told them an accord was probably the most practical..so we started looking for an accord last year and we met a really nice sales person at the cerritos honda dealership. but we ended up not buying one last year b/c i told my parents i didn't need a car cuz i was still living in the dorms.
fast forward a year later to a week ago.. so i just moved into my apartment and my parents convinced me i needed a car ???
so basically i just asked for price quotes from a bunch of dealerships (i'm sorry to whoever wanted me to forward quotes i deleted them all.. it was flooding my school email address)

couple dealerships gave me around 18.3K- couldn't remember which ones.. i'd email back "you can do better than that" nobody responded :(
my friend told me to get a quote from riverside and thousand oaks b/c they gave him the best quote (he just got a coupe) .. riverside quoted me 17.6ish
thousand oaks called me and asked me a [non-permissible content removed] load of questions.. I probably sounded like an idiot or child to him so he quoted me like 18.5? and i was like "you can do better?" .. and he said "i can't. i'm already selling you blah blah blah under some invoice blah blah".. he almost succeeded in brainwashing me .. psych!.... i told him "he could keep his inventory when the next gen comes out".. he sounded confused afterwards.. and ended with "i hope you can come down"...
huntington beach honda (which sold my family an accord 5 years ago?) emailed me with 18.7K? i emailed back and told her it was too high.. her email was "WE ARE NOT IN A BUSINESS TO LOSE MONEY.. then something about i'm already 2k below invoice".. (after reading this line in that email i remembered that someone used it on us just 5 years prior.. I’m convinced that my uncle got ripped off on his accord).. anyways i should have emailed back "i'm not in the business to lose money either " but i'm not too quick-witted
then finally long beach emailed me with a LIST of all the accord trim levels.. and the prices were WAY better than all my other quotes.. i think the amount was 16.7K...but then i read their fine print and it said does not include destination (which should be $595).. nonetheless (16.7 + .6 = 17.3K) which was lower than my lowest quote
so by this time i've wasted like two days emailing/moving into my apartment.. and not concentrating on my MCATs, my mother was a little bit concerned and told me to stop shopping around and that sales people need to put food on their tables too (I had originally planned to wait till the 08s comes in and scavenge for 07s)
my mother told me to just buy it now.. (this is the woman who on a whim had previously bought her son a bmw... ridiculous… but I lover her)
so basically I called the sales guy at Cerritos that we met a year ago (cuz he’s nice and followed up with my parents over the year) and told him “17.3k and i’ll come all the way down from my apartment and buy it.”
We were the last deal of the day.. I got back to my apartment at midnight

Have to admit I envy the folks out in California, the SE here runs $18,479.00 before TTL so you got a great deal. Guess the trade off is gas is cheaper here.
  • zswxzswx Member Posts: 55
Thanks a lot for sharing the information. I think you got deal of the year for this model as of now.

Too bad I just bought the same car at $18k with OTD $19735, also in California. Wish I had waited for a few more days.
  • michaellnomichaellno Member Posts: 4,120
Have to admit I envy the folks out in California

Unless they've changed, Honda's franchising rules allowed dealers to be no closer than 10 miles from another dealer.

In the greater LA area, there are so many Honda dealers that compete for business, the consumer wins all around.

Not so true for other parts of the country.
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
So true .. I live in an area that has 1 dealer within 50 miles, another @ 70ish and a third @ 100+
  • jb_turnerjb_turner Member Posts: 702
Since a trade is involved the OTD cant be used for comparison.... however just enjoy the ride!
  • louisnlouisn Member Posts: 110
You could finance a trip to California by buying out there and driving her home. In some parts of the country an EX-L 6 cylinder is 26,000-in Cal it is 23,800 according to Cars direct.com. Acura RL are 4000 dollars cheaper in L.A. compared to Memphis, my area.
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
W/O trade - invoice is as low as they're going to go...

    MSRP - 29995
    Invoice - 27222
    Taxes - 1361.10
    TL - 20.50 Title + 25.44 DMV License Fee
    Doc FEE - 53

    OTD $28682.04
  • zswxzswx Member Posts: 55
If you drive across states to California, will you pay CA tax or tax of your own state? Some states have zero sales tax, right? Then you can get both the lowest price and no tax!

Is that too good to be true?
  • 06asmsi06asmsi Member Posts: 12
I'm in Georgia, I think there is another 500.00 to be saved on this car within the next few weeks but only time will tell.... Hmmm to wait or buy?????
  • kevina1kevina1 Member Posts: 11
17900 otd at Boch Honda in Norwood MA. The saleman drove it up to New Hampshire for me yesterday. Not much work involved in getting price. They put a sales agreement in front of me for 17160 otd which was a price the gave me for LX. The sales manager who enters price made a mistake. I asked the finance guy and the salesman who were standing over me "is this the right car" and they both said yes. I only pointed out the mistake because I didn't want the salesman to get in trouble. He was a decent guy. The finance guy on the other hand.....
