Crystal ball is murky regarding March numbers.

1. I thought I read that adding AudiCare adds 1% to the residual. Is this true?
2. Does Audi still take Multiple Security Deposits to bring down the money factor?
3. Do the .00102 rates still apply to a 39 month lease?
4. What does the 39 month lease (if offered) do to the residual?

3) No... at 39 months, the MF goes up to .00122
4) Residual is 2% lower than 36 months

.00103 and 59% for S3 Premium Plus.

Be polite but firm when you explain to the dealer that you won't sign any deal with an inflated MF. And, start talking to a second Audi dealer.

Been checking out these cars for some time. Looking to finally get serious. I live in the Rochester, NY area and was wondering what the terms would be for 13K miles per year for 36 months unless there is a sweet spot term. This would be my first lease so I'm new to the process.

Hi Moderator. First all of a HUGE thank you for answering all of these questions. I have been using your figures to run analyses and to help during negotiations so again thank you!

I priced out an S3 P+ Daytona package over the weekend and was quoted MF of .001270 and 56% for 36/15K in CT. Dealer claims not to be marking up the MF. Can you confirm these figures? Also is there a sweet spot with MF for different months 36, 39, 42 since I don't have a preference for term.

S3 Premium Plus - .00102 and 55% for 36/15. That looks to be the sweet spot - anything longer and the MF goes up to .00122.

Dealer is, um, shall we say, "fibbing" to you about the MF mark up.

What is the "Daytona" package? That might affect the residual numbers, but I don't have any information on that in my documents.

Thanks. The Daytona package is aka Launch Edition (Daytona paint, red calibers, etc.). I just got another quote for MF 0.00620. Hey, at least the residual is the same across the board. Would you suggest just saying what MF the deal gets done at. Also, the residual is based off of MSRP not negotiated price right?

Correct... the residual is fixed.

Tell them that you know the base MF is .00102, and that's the number you want.

Base MF is .00102 - dealer is marking it up on you.

I get about $566/mo. with .00102 MF and 57% residual. You should verify the MF and residual they are using.

The numbers are all typical, except I'd want 6% off MSRP (selling price of $42,300), or maybe a little lower, considering that $493 doc fee... most doc fees we see out of NJ are $199-$399. (though all doc fees are just a way of adding dealer profit).

Thanks, kyfdx. I managed to find a dealership over in PA that is giving me the same car for 36/12k for $517/month, $0 due at signing, and waiving the first month's payment ! They're apparently eating all the fees and the tax is rolled into the monthly payment.
