Can someone comment if this is a good deal? What is aftersale window fee? Is the doc fee seem a bit high? I believe the $929 is shipping cost from out of state...
Using the numbers provided, I get $575/mo after tax. I don't get what else is included in the $4500 due at signing - $600 cap reduction, $695 bank fee, $396 registration, $493 doc fee, $7.50 tire tax and $570 first payment add up to $2761.50.
Ah, you are paying the sales tax up front - $1726.13. If I back the sales tax out of my calculations, then the payment should be $537/mo
EDIT - sorry, my calculator was acting up on me. I get the same numbers as the dealer (well, I'm off by .01, which could be a rounding error).
Anyone know the July residual and MF for an S3 Prem/plus trim for a 36/12k in San Diego, CA?
.00139 MF and 58% residual
Awesome thanks! So my dealer is quoting me residual of 58% and MF of 0.00189. I know dealers are allowed to change the money factor, where does the 0.00139 come from? Any suggestions on how I can talk them down? The S3 is pretty popular and most dealers aren't budging on the prices.

.00139 is the base MF for this model. It's set by AFS. Dealers are allowed to mark it up for extra profit.
A dealer is telling me that the base MF for July on an S3 lease has dropped to 0.00046. Is that correct/possible?
Thanks
I confirm the .00046 MF for the S3 in July.
Based on this - do you think a NJ dealer would go for 9 MSDs (-0.00045) to bring this down to 0.00001? I negotiated and put in my Purchase Order for an S3 (out of state) in June but have not signed any lease yet. I did get them to pay for shipping and Neg. Sale price of $43.4k on MSRP of $48.1k. My monthly is $477/with tax so there must have been other fees that were taken care of as well. So I'm not sure how much further I can push.
But I did find out last minute that there is 200 miles on the car. Car Fax shows it was shipped to the out of state dealer with 31mi. So there is about 170mi unaccounted for. Thoughts?

Minimum MF allowed by AFS is .00005, so 8 MSDs should work.
I'd ask the dealer about the 170 miles ... could be no big deal, or a very big deal.
I did talk to the dealer and of course said, nothing to worry about, its a brand new car. My thoughts are, who knows how it was driven and what was done. Someone could have easily taken it to the track multiple times for all I know...

You could ask for a bit more of a discount, though 200 miles isn't really all that much in the grand scheme of things.
billnorman - did my first every car negotiation this past june and was a lease. i'm paying $477 including tax. I basically have the same car without the convenience pkg ($750). I did have a 56% residual for a 36/10k based on June's NJ rates. I first negotiated via email before even stepping into a dealership. Then graduated to phone calls, etc. That creates the best leverage IMO b/c they need to get you to walk in the doors, at which you can still negotiate and walk out. I learned having you sit at the dealership is sales tactic to get your time "invested" on the sale which was a complete waste. I planned on using MSDs but was my last card to play and never mentioned it til the end. Using MSDs you will average a 25% ROI. Use truecar.com to find the lowest selling price people have received for the exact build of your car and aim for that, it should be below invoice. They may ask for your "signing" price which they will undoubtly negotiate slightly above that so be sure to lower your number if you do state this. In addition, 2016s are coming out so the dealer is sure to want to get this car off his lot with summer ending. Let them know up front there will be no down payments. I used an excel based lease calculator (i found on a forum) to crunch the numbers he was providing - i was off by $5 on the monthly payments. I used that to find out what my monthly would be and further negotiated the monthly payment (also lowering selling price). The excel also provides a cell to enter in your MF so you can compute what it would be after MSD. Once you've gotten down to the lowest selling price - ask another dealer and see if he can give it to you $1000 -$1500 lower. He may be able to "trade inventory" with the initial dealer. I got my car from Florida, they paid for the shipping and saved me $800. Some may even pay for the first month and take care of the fees. I wish i had tried to negotiate the disposition fee $300 (when returning the car) but not sure if you can. My 2 cents. Good luck!
Can you help me with the MF and Residual for a 2015 S3 Premium Plus & Prestige in MA (Boston/Brookline area)? 36/15k, 36/12k and 36/10K? Thanks in advance!!

I am new here and I am in the market to lease a S3. I am located in Los Angeles. I was wondering what kind of lease deal I can expect for a 2015 and 2016 and the MF and Residual for a premium plus. Which option will give me the best deal? Thanks in advance.

Dealers from both states that I have contacted so far are quoting 52% residual on Prem +
S3 Prem + car includes:
- MMI Nav Pkg
- Performance Pkg
- Driver Assist Pkg
- Full LED headlights
- Convenience Pkg
- B&O sound system
Monthly payments are currently around $700 including tax. Would appreciate tips on negotiation, since I am new to leases.Need an MSRP and selling price to calculate a payment.
Do you live in Tennesee or Georgia, because the tax difference on a lease is substantial.

Does anyone have the august MF for an S3? I assume it's the same for the 2015 and 2016? 56% residual for a 10k/36? How about 7.5l/36?
Thanks

MSRP: 44045
MF: .002
RV: 54%
Cap Cost: 43045
CC Reduction: 1000
MSDs: None
Acquisition: 695
Disposition: 350
Taxes: 2396.37
Govt Fee: 279
Doc Fee: 299
Monthly: 588.47
1000 due at signing
With that money factor, the payment would be even higher.
$1000 off on a 2015 model isn't very good.
On the negative side, you pay tax on the full selling price in MD.
Where does the $1000 CC reduction come in, if you are only putting up $1000 at signing? Rebate or customer incentive?
Your list of taxes and fees? Are they included in the CAP cost of $43045?
