I test drove the Accord, Altima, Sonata and Camry. My final two was the Camry and Sonata. After looking at what I get for the money it was a no brainer to get the Sonata. Easiest decision I have ever made and I don't regret it one second.
the current rebates will be extended past 3/31 ?
Thanks.
I have some questions about the 2006 Hyundai Sonata pricing. I tried to get a quota from a Houston Hyundai dealer in the phone for the 2006 Sonata GLS V4 (automatic). He gave me a quota for 2006 GLS V6 for $16100.00 for drive out price.
He said this price is for any GLS v6 in the lot (there are several ones) and the price is only valid today, which includes ($1000 Hyundai MFR, $1000 Hyundai Finance and $1000 loyalty). I believe it is a good price, he seems to be too pushy (Only Valid today). It is kind of weird. He told me if I buy today, the registration will be finished tomorrow and they will get one more car for March's quota. If I buy it tomorrow, the care will belong to next month's quota. I don't want to rush to buy a car, especially I am not in Houston now, I don't trust my wife can handle it.
Anyway, I also get a quota from him for GLS V4, for $16000.00 drive out after all the rebates. From another Hyundai dealer in Houston, I get a quota for 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS V4(auto) for $15800 drive out plus 2 years free oil change. It is kind of too good to be true.
Any comments or suggestions are well appreciated,
But get the offer in writing before you go to Houston (e.g. email or fax). Also have him tell you "what he has on the lot."
It may be legit... dealers sometimes get special incentives from the manufacturer for making certain sales targets in a month. If they need just a few more sales to make that target, it could be worth it to them to offer some big incentives on the last few cars. Also we don't know if the current $3000 in rebates on the V6s will extend past tomorrow.
Just a little comment, but you said you'd appreciate it.
I think even tomorrow I buy hise GLS V6, my auto purchase should be still counted in their March quota. I just don't rush to buy a car, especially I am not in Houston. Also this offer sounds to be too good to be true. Tomorrow I will ask my
wife and my another friend to the second dealership who offered $15800 driveout for 2006 Sonata GLS I4 plsu 2 years free oild change. Frankly speaking, I don't like this dealership, I had a really bad experience with them when I shopped my 2005 Elantra last year. They were just too pushy and required me to sign a written contract to promise buying the car that day, then can show me around.
Eventually I got my car from another dealership. Hopefully, they changed the owner last year.
Maybe I should call the first dealership if the V6 offer is still available tomorrow?
How many keys come with the car?
How much do extra "smart" ones cost?
I've got tinting and mud flaps covered.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks,
S
About tinting, now your auto dim mirror will probably not work, however...
I have no mud flaps. Had them in the Elantra. Don't seem to miss them.
And make sure to check out that Silver & Gold (Immitation) Hyundai Pen, with the leather wrapped owners Manual.
So one more thing to work with.
Thought I was going to make a deal this morning, but one of the dealers is backing out of his price, he emailed that I have to have the HMFC financing now.
Busy at work, but need to get with the other dealer.
S
Which one? NPR?
Or pay $1,000 more?
If you don't want HMFC; try to split the difference!?
I doubt if the other one will sell it for less!
I confirmed the price, car, adds, etc. and bought at NPR.
BUT, then their finance dude came over and said there was a mistake and my out the door price was calculated with the HMFC rebate.
I was very upset, I was upfront from the beginning about using my credit union since they required the four months of payments (see previous threads.)
He said the sales rep was incorrect, they only try to get people to pay the four months and that it was not required.
I called my husband and he said he would come get me and that the other dealer has been calling.
He asked my interest rate, which turned out to be alot lower than their best.
He ended up reducing the final price $500, and I took it, even though I think the entire $1000 should have been mine.
I better get the coupon book in fast so I can flip the loan.
Their interest rate is disgusting and for 72 months?!
Not that I am a totally distrusting person, but I feel like this was all part of the script.
S
NO, you will not be getting any coupon book soon. They will send you a Coupon a month! in 2-3 weeks; but you don't need to wait!
Wait.. don't get upset!
But you can call HMFC Monday/Tuesday and you can find out what the payoff amount is. All you need, to find that information, is your social security #, and the VIN last 6 digits.( Give that information to where you are going to refinance - Phone # to call and they will take care of everything for you-. No need to have a Coupon book... don't wait 4 months... it is a lie! I think the reason is if you stay that long they get a bonus from HMFC also)
You will get the pay off amount info without speaking to anyone: computer generated!
You should have HMFC # on your financing deal... or look it up on the internet since this board censures / does not allow that kind of information!
I know people who financed their cars with HMFC and turned around and paid it off within a month or two; ( I did too). The only thing you should be aware of is NPR may ask for $75 as authorized by Florida law ( Back of contract): So far they haven't asked for it!.
And since they dropped another $500 to get the deal... that should more than pay for the $75 fee and the interest for the period you will be with HMFC... Also I think they were more than anxious to sell you the car than you think!( Last day of the month and that extra sale may bring them thousands of Incentive $ - And they also want to become the #1 Hyundai dealer in the US... they are #2 now).
You don't say what you finally got! LX/GLS?
I'm trying not to think about it, but with the rebate thing, the other dealer would have been my better deal.
Don't let me forget about calling HMFC.
One of the reasons I didn't want to do this originally.
I got the LX.
Still issues with the headrest being too hard.
Maybe I'll take it off and smash it some!
Wish you guys were with me a few hours ago!
Suzanna
I have a question about mudflaps in the accessories forum.
Because they needed the sale!
Since you got the LX... IMO it is better that you do not tint the glass because that will disable the night Rear mirror feature which is super. I was going to do the same but cancelled it, and got the $150 back with no hassle!( just cancel the appointment if you already have one)- Drive it for a while without tint (it has Solar control already - which the GLS doesn't have - I forgot that one!)... and if you still want it done, I will give you the name of the place where they (NPR) have their cars done... for only $120!(on SR50 : less than a mile east of NPR)
Unless you live/use a lot of dirt roads, I don't see any use for mudflaps!
Don't think I'll get the money back!
I feel like I am in fish bowl without tint.
Guess I am used to it.
Maybe just on the side windows?
Yes, that should be ok!
The tint and mudflaps are included.
Don't think I'll get the money back!
Look at the Sales Contract: it should list them separately: and they will honor it, if it is listed separate.
Body: LX 3.3l V6 Auto Color: Silver Blue Interior: Gray Order #: H146353
Delivered Internet Price: $21,216
Factory Invoice: $23,385
Delivered Value Price: $21,585
MSRP: $24,945
Delivered Prices on New Vehicles Include Rebates and Incentives Applicable to All Purchasers. Additional Rebates and Incentives May Apply
Question: Does that mean a person eligible for the 1000 finacing rebate and the 1000 current owner rebate could buy the car for $19,216 plus tax and license fees for his home state?
Also, Kelley BlueBook shows an LX with option pack 3 has an MSRP or $24,895 and invoice of $22,839. Why is there a difference between that and Fitz price?
Seems to me the Fitz price is about $600 less than a deal which is invoice minus $3,000 incentives, right?
2007 Sonata Spy Pic!
While adding the LX to my insurance policy, I found out the loan document doesn't have the finance company name, address or telephone on it.
Had to call the dealer to get the info.
I hate buying cars.
S
($500MFR + $1000 HMFC + $1000 loyalty +$500 graduate =$2900.00
After very long calls with the two Houston Hyundai dealers in the phone (I am in Florida now), eventually I asked my wife to the same dealer where I got my elantra
So for the final Drive-out price for 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS I4 (auto) is $14875.00 out of the door, which has included all the tax, title, etc and all the four rebates. We did a $10000.00 finance from HMFC with APR 9% (it is a little high, but considering $1400 HMFC rebate and we will
pay off soon). I would say this is the best deal I can get.
The dealership we went to is in Houston,
Champion Hyundai Gulf Fwy
12215 Gulf Fwy, Houston, TX
I would say they are the best in Houston, especially the salesman we dealt with. Highly recommended. No trick, no game, although with some hard negations. No dealership in houston can beat the price I got from him, no matter for 2005 Elantra or 2006 Sonata.
I installed the mid flaps myself, bought on internet, also bought aftermarket spoiler already p[ainted for 198.00 incluging shipping and the car is Classy, Classy!
Whatever you do, get all the Car you can afford, deal down, not up, and go for the top LX :P
You must use the check spelling button before posting. The LX features Solar Control Glass. It is suggested not to tint the Windows, as the Mirror does not work well with tinting, per the manual & common sense :confuse:
I was hoping a Sonata LX with option pack 3 could be had for about 70% of the $24,895 MSRP (or $17,427) plus tax, title and license if a buyer was eligible for $2,500 to $3,000 in customer incentives and rebates.
Anyone get that deal yet on a new one which had less than 100 miles on the odometer?
And, if it is available, is it extra cost? I think maybe it costs more on the Azera.
What was the sale price of your car not including sales tax, license plates and registration?
I ask because I don't know what the dollar amounts of tax title and license would be where Fitzmall is so I'd like to compare the price without them included.
And how much was the document or dealer prep fee for Fitz delivery of the car?
Also, was there a trade-in? I ask that because it makes comparisons much more difficult. If so, what was the make, model, condition and mileage?
New Port Richey : a city in the Tampa Bay area with a new Hyundai dealer.
"Anyone get that deal yet on a new one which had less than 100 miles on the odometer"?
Well I almost was able to answer your question, except my car involved a trade in "shenanigan", which should have been conducted by a Leprechaun who led me to that pot of gold :P . In fact the generous trade in amount, plus the 3 rebates, and the $60 under Invoice yielded me a price of under $19K out the Door. However it had 120 test miles, so again my Car does not meet your criteria
What was your price, including dealer fees (doc. etc), exclusive of trade-in, and before TTL? What rebates were included in the price?
However, I am not a big fan of V6, considering the gas proce these days. we are able to get Sonata GLS I4 for $14875 out of the door.

It has nothing to do with your deal!
I was referring to the way they play with trade-in... It happened to me and to most people...
Next time I will keep the trade-in option to last; after settling the final price!
The Powder White Paint looks beautiful. I traded in my 2003 elantra 50K miles ($5500) and got a good deal on the new car at Flemington Hyundai, NJ.
The folks there are very nice and helpful and the price was very low. The total after NY tax and all the rebates ($500 and $1000 loyalty was $17500.
My final check was only $12000. I like the car a lot and recommend it to anyone who wants to taste a bit of luxury.
