    > When you say you ran a Pricing Report, what does that mean? I'm curious

I mean a TMV Pricing Report, on Edmunds web site. Select the car model and then Price with Options. It gives you the MSRP, the Invoice price and the TMV (what others are paying).

Anybody got a good deal on a 2009 Camry LE with a moonroof package? Let me know which dealer sold you the car.

A dealer up in Hollywood quote me a price of $23,000 OTD price for it. Is this a good deal? Should I take it?
  • pam4waterpam4water Member Posts: 14
They are going for 20,700 to 21,500 near Pittsburgh PA, without taxes and title, depending on color.

Hi shyvtguy, I am also looking for the SE V6 with these options. Can you please guide me by providing me the following details.

    1. Whats the sticker price the dealer had posted for this car?
    2. Whats the negotiating term you used to get the car for 25500 incl TTL&License.
    your response is highly appreciated.

I bought my Camry at the beginning of this month with the help of Edmunds.com and this forum.

I wish I had known about realcartips before I purchased. I got a D+ ranking according to the site:

    Here's my purchase details:
    http://www.realcartips.com/2009-Toyota-Camry-Prices/3207.html

How do you guys think I did?
  • kiawahkiawah Member Posts: 3,666
Roughly about a grand too much....(unless you also have taxes and DMV title fees in this number)

You can check www.fitzmall.com for online no-hassle comparisons to use with your local dealership Doesn't mean the local shop will meet the price, but at least you'll know what can be had at other dealerships.

    Hi guys,
I talked with 2 dealer in my area. But they cannot accept my OTD price: $20000 or $20500 with sunroof as well as 1.9% for 60 months. I think that is reasonable. What price did you get recently?
  • tarrycollinstarrycollins Member Posts: 6
I would call more dealers. If you're willing to drive far, you should be able to contact 10 dealers or so. Times are tough right now so you have a good chance of finding a desperate dealer.

Here's an article that gives you a blueprint on what you need to do. Although I didn't use this technique myself, it looks pretty legit.

    http://www.realcartips.com/articles/carbuying/how-to-buy-a-new-car.html

It's too bad you don't live in Florida, cause fitzmall.com does look like they have some great no-haggle deals.

Hi all -- I am looking for a '09 Camry LE with Vehicle Stability Control, the mat sets and net. I have been quoted $19,594 plus tax and tags. From what I've read, I'm thinking that I can do about $400-$500 better than that. Is that unrealistic? Also, do you think it's a better time to buy an '09 now ($1,300 marketing support) or in a few months, when the '10 Camry begins to roll out?

I am looking in the Philadelphia area. Thanks for any suggestions, and happy holidays.
  • dkumardkumar Member Posts: 1
I am also looking for the 2009 Camry LE AT. The quote I got is $17,988 in Bay Area. The price $18,280 and any below almost all ( 4-5) dealers are agree to give.

    Had you finalize any deal?
  • jg_19444jg_19444 Member Posts: 2
I have not finalized anything yet. I did receive a quote about 150-200 dollars less, around $19,420 from a competing dealer. That is with the stability control option, which adds about $520 to the invoice. My understanding is that, generally speaking, you can do about $1,000 better on the West Coast. Sounds to me like that quote you received is a good one, as long as they are not adding on any bogus fees or shorting you on a trade. Others here know a lot more than me, though . . .
  • veersveers Member Posts: 81
you can definately do better on east coast than $19,400, try to get online quotes from the car purchasing websites.

I just got back from purchasing a Silver 4 door LE Camry (automatic transmission) with carpet mats. I bought the vehicle from Rice Toyota in Greensboro, NC. They sold me the car for $17995 plus tax, tag and fees. My out the door price was $19100 which was about $800 lower than any other NC dealers were willing to do. Definitely a buyers market right now. Thanks to everyone on this site who helped me get a great deal!!! The fitzmall.com site was very helpful also. I hope my post helps other buyers get good deals as well. I look forward to enjoying my new car in the new year.

Best offer so far I received in Atlanta GA region has been $17690.00 +fees + TTL for a 2009 Camry LE 4 cycl Auto No other options. Is this a good deal or can I do better?
  • kiawahkiawah Member Posts: 3,666
Off the top of my head without looking up the real numbers, VSC adds about 500-600 MSRP to the vehicle. See above recent posts to see going rates of base models.
  • samanthawsamanthaw Member Posts: 4
so happy for u. i have a question. are there key-center and power seat in your car?
  • Pagan1234Pagan1234 Member Posts: 14
Thanks. one of the posts pointed me to FitzMall.com. they quoted $20,430 on road for 09' Camry LE with VSC.

Hello every one, I am thinking to go with fitzmall.com. Any one here made a purchase at fitzmall? Any suggestions for me?
  • kiawahkiawah Member Posts: 3,666
Personally, I have not yet. But I have a brother who lives in that area that has, as well as three business associates that I have had business meetings with in that area.

From their reputation, you should have a very straightforward and pleasant purchasing experience.

Report back, and let us know how it goes!

Didn't see anything out there specific to the Camry Hybrid so figured I'd add something. Last night I paid $1,300 under invoice for a loaded 2009 Camry Hybrid from Dublin Toyota in Northern California. Good bunch of guys and had a HUGE selection of Camry Hybrids and Prius'. They have a lot of cars to move and I called around quite a few places and this is the best deal I could find. Also bought the 100K / 7 year extended warranty for $1650. Hope this helps all of you and the dealer! Happy New Year! They would deal Prius' for $800 - $1,000 under invoice too.
  • Ride21Ride21 Member Posts: 4
Seems like a pretty fair market price. Thats selling you the car at invoice minus rebate. Depending on what part of the country you are in will vary on what the price may or may not be.

Here in AZ, that would be the price, I might be able to go a few hundred under that to earn someones business
  • Pagan1234Pagan1234 Member Posts: 14
Kiawah, Thanks. I am almost closing the deal with FitzMall. And ofcourse no haggling. They have lowest rates here. Though they did not have the vehicle of my interest at near by (Baltimore,MD) Fitz locations, they are going to ship the vechile for free from their PA.
  • quixotic1quixotic1 Member Posts: 23
You can buy the Toyota Platinum extended warranty much cheaper (around $900) from a dealer in the mid west. I bought mine there for my Florida car. Same warranty as you are getting for 1/2 the price. Don't buy it through that dealer unless they beat or match the price.
  • punklegpunkleg Member Posts: 6
Thanks - do you know the dealer?
  • yehyemyesyehyemyes Member Posts: 36
I have got a quote from Westboro toyota, MA. 2009 Camry LE with Carept/Trunk mat set. $17929 + TTL + 295 doc fee. Sound like the best price in east coast. I live in PA. Is this price worth travelling to MA? What's the best price in Fitzmall, PA? Please suggest. Thanks
  • bkm1bkm1 Member Posts: 5
Here's their website: fitzmall.com . They seem good to work with, although I ended up negotiating a good deal locally. ;)
  • yehyemyesyehyemyes Member Posts: 36
What's the best price you got locally?
  • bkm1bkm1 Member Posts: 5
For the Camry (base model) 4 cylinder, manual transmission the 'out the door' (everything including TT&L) price was $18,221. That was with/after the $1500 manuafacturer rebate and $500 Toyota owner loyalty rebate.
  • mcdawggmcdawgg Member Posts: 1,722
    What's the tax rate?
  • bkm1bkm1 Member Posts: 5
Not sure; but taxes were about $1020
  • mcdawggmcdawgg Member Posts: 1,722
Great price. I think it is an excellent car for $18,221. The only thing that I miss is the keyless entry, but I could add it for $200. (I have an '07 CE or "base model") manual). Congrats.

I bought a 09 Camery LE auto with carpet mats. Paid 20200 out the door in Western Ky. Could have worked it down alittle more but I was pretty happy with the deal.
  • bkm1bkm1 Member Posts: 5
It is a great car so far (but, of course ... its a Toyota!).
  • bkm1bkm1 Member Posts: 5
When looking at the Camry forums, I didn't know what to make of the issues with the automatics. So, we decided to avoid (hopefully) any potential issues. But, everything seems to be tied to the computer. Have you noticed any oddities with your manual transmission we should be aware of?

After negotiating over the internet for our 2009 Camry and agreeing on a price, we made an appointment at Vandergriff Toyota in Arlington, TX. While we were nervous at first, our sales rep quickly made us feel relaxed. Including test driving our car, the total time from arrival to driving off the lot was 2 hours. From the postive comments from others using the service department there, we believe that our service experience will be as positive at Vandergriff as our sales experience was. We are very happy with all aspects of the process, but most so with the car so far - all 40 miles or so! Our old 92 Camry is doing pretty well for 180,000 miles, too.

We should take this to another forum, but...

The only issue with my CE manual was that I occasionally had some acceleration hesitation. I had the TSB done (TSB 068-08) which took 25 minutes and changed the ECM software. This TSB is for both manual and automatic.

After I had that done, the car has been perfect. How do you like yours? How does it perform? Always good to hear from someone else with the same car.
  • yehyemyesyehyemyes Member Posts: 36
Which area and dealership is this deal?. I am looking for one in PA area. thanks

I have spoken with Boch toyota and they have accepted for the same price as yours. I am planning to come to Norwood this weekend. Let me know what's the price you have got at last.
  • sparklinkssparklinks Member Posts: 18
BOCH gave that 18K quote which include rebates. I am looking 18K minus $1500 or 0% APR.
  • SonataShopperSonataShopper Member Posts: 9
    Hello,
Are you sure its 18K minus $1500 or 0% APR. If sure that will be 16.5K+TTL with cash payment. Please confirm as this is too good to be true. I am not even getting Sonata at this price in NJ. :confuse:
  • sparklinkssparklinks Member Posts: 18
I mean 18K with 0% APR (19.5K)...but I don't think they are ready for this price, So far I got $19360 with 0% APR ($17860 cash)
  • SonataShopperSonataShopper Member Posts: 9
OK...please keep us posted. I might switch from Sonata to Camry if price is good.
  • atb2atb2 Member Posts: 30
You may get the Sonata cheaper, but the resale will reflect the cheaper sale price accordingly. Granted, the Sonatas have improved greatly the past few years, but the Toyota's overall value, quality, engineering, etc is still superior to any Hyundai, IMHO. You get what you pay for.

Purchased Monday (1/5) from FitzMall, MD. Internet Price. Easiest purchase experience ever. No haggle. Very friendly staff. I drove 2 hours from Delaware. Arrived at 6:30 PM left at 9:30 PM. Took 3 hours to complete the transaction, they appeared very busy (only 2 F&I guys working). Typical aftermarket sales pitches, but very low pressure. Purchased extended warranty, then reconsidered and canceled next day with no problem or fees.

LE in Barcelona Red w/Mats Only.

    Internet Price: 18,398
    Temporary Tag: 19
Total out the door 18,417 paid cash.

$99 processing fee was waived since I will title myself at DMV in DE. Those fees will be $25 title, $691 tax, 5year registration $200.

For comparison purposes other quotes I got locally on 1/5. All before TTL & doc fees. Mats only.

    Conicelli Lanhorne, PA. $19,300
    Liberty Burlington, NJ $19,100
    Shore Atlantic City, NJ $19,345
    Price Wilmington, DE $19,300
    ToyotaWorld Newark, DE $19,900
