I would imagine that someone has something out now. It is just a matter of finding where. Maybe ask over at G35Driver.com or freshalloy.com...

When I told the sales person and the manager this they said they will refund me the cost of the lights. I wanted to have the lights on the car that I originally requested and payed for. They both claimed that it was too costly for them to install and they would mail me a check and give me a free service. Now It is over three week, numerous phone calls and no check and no xenon headlights.
one of the reason I bought an infinity was because of dealer reputation. I have all the written documentation to support my recollection of events. I am frustrated and angry that a new car purchase of an infinity can lead to such fustration. At this point I am notifing you for satisfaction. I want the xenon headlights and nothing else. I find the intentional misrepresentation of the car
that was sold at best terrible representation of what infinit stands for and most likey illegal. What do you think or better yet what does the NYS Bureau of Conumer Affair think. I want satisfaction. I will settle for nothing less.
I would write NNA with copies to the Dealership, mention the offending representatives by name with an accounting of the timeline of events and supporting documents...
If you signed a delivery order and they changed it AFTER your signature was affixed, that was not only bad business practice, it was downright illegal.
I've had nothing but stellar service from my Infiniti Dealership (Infiniti of Pleasanton here in California) but unfortunately that doesn't mean that there aren't less than stellar reps at other Infiniti locations.
My read is that they are trying to see how much they can sweep under the rug with you for their mistake, in other words, how much you will swallow... Don't budge an inch... You made a good faith bargain and you put your money up for the product as listed... Retrofitted xenons be damned, they owe you a car that was built with them in it... If you roll over, then they will be just as sloppy with someone else (and this goes for any car brand) They should make the problem right to your satisfaction and take the cost out of the salespersons commission/paycheck...
That would keep anyone straight next time...
Good luck to you!

Please advise
9000 miles on her right now. The first couple
months I was getting 15/19 mpg and on trip to
Las Vegas got 20/21 mpg...I now average about
17/21 mpg and on trips to Las Vegas and Reno
I got 23/24 mpg. I have a pretty heavy foot while
driving on the Southern California freeways..but
I did drive very conservative on the last trips
to Vegas/Reno and feel that 23/24 mpg is probably
the max I can expect on gas mileage.
I just switched over to Mobil 1 at the 15k service and I'm curious as to what it will do for me with gas mileage... I keep pretty comprehensive data for mileage, so I'll let people know if the synthetic makes a difference...

Good luck with your G!
Anyone else notice this kind of early wear? I would like to know since my car will be in at the end of the month.
If you don't think it necessary to go to the dealer with this problem then hopefully Infiniti used standard sized blades that could be easily refilled (i.e. Anco blades, etc.)
Good luck,
Gary
with regards to fair play, i wouldn't hesitate to seek out the general sales manager in person with your documentation.
i've always found that writing is good for legal reasons , and telephone calls or face to face are good for quicker resolutions.
good luck
Lumbar for the driver's seat can be adjusted via a lever on the inboard side of the seat.
Thanks again!

Anyone had any similar issues? Does it sound like the tranny is a little off?
It's great technology, and it's doing what it's supposed to do, but it is also extremely sensitive (maybe too sensitive) and takes some getting used to.
Nissan of North America tells me ther is nothing wrong with the seat - however they have not driven the car. I now have 13K miles and have experienced similar problems as other G35 owners:
AC Noise, Clock Light poor, CD Skips - doesn't load.
Overall I am happy with the G - gas mileage averages 25 plus using top grade of gas.
Have not called local Infiniti yet, but am interested in any feedback/opinions from this group. I really like the G and have not had any real problems (did get the CD changer replaced due to mistracking/skipping)with it so far. But this is a bit troubling. Let me know what you think.
Happy Driving

Generic info:
G35 w/leather, sunroof, winter package, no other extras
I've had my G for a little under a month, it has 1900 miles on it and I'm averaging 18mpg city(80%)/hwy(20%) using premium fuel. I am, in general, a bit of a lead foot but for the most part I accelerate strongly to about 10-15 miles over the posted speed limit and let the tranny catch up when I hold the desired speed.
Besides the dash reflection, I have had to clean my windshield and wiper blades a couple times but the blades are still giving me minor trouble, they're definitely cheapies.
I haven't yet noticed the A/C problem or the seat belt problem.
I have the standard stereo system and no problems with skipping, etc. as related to the Bose system.
Yes, getting used to the adaptive transmission is still an ongoing process.
So far, the overall performance is fantastic for the price (my driveout was $900+ over MSRP including TT&L).

I had the intensity maximized (beyond the click)on the dash lights. Adjusting the intensity to the maximum level before rolling over the click brings the reflection down to an acceptable level.
I also neglected to mention in my earlier post that I have occasionally noticed some driver seat rocking. When I bring my car in for it's first oil change I plan to have the service center check it out.
This brings the total number of complaints I have about my G down to 2, both of which I expect to be addressed on my first service visit.
The car handles surprisingly well for a rear wheel drive. Expect the slip light to come on alot if you are heavy on the peddle. Despite this I left many a cars behind at every traffic light.
Last year when I was driving on all seasons I found the car handled much better in manual mode than in automatic, in snowy conditions.
My opinion is to spring for a set of winter tires.
Toyo does make a 17" winter but they are expensive. Just make sure that whatever tire you get, that they are designed for rear wheel drive cars and not front wheel drive cars.
I hope to accomplish two things, one...hopefully taking delivery late winter early spring to avoid most of the snow and ice. Two, with taking later delivery it will allow me to put down at least 13k to 15k. I want to keep my monthly payments as low as possible. (Nissan leasing said I can carry my lease month to month once it expires until I take delivery of the new car.)
Down here on the coast of Southwestern Connecticut our winters are a mixed bag. Most years I have been lucky to get away with all season tires and FWD. I'll deal with a set of snows once they become more plentiful for the G35 next season. Right now the selection is pretty sparse.
Have fun driving your G35. I wish you and your family the best of the upcoming holidays :-)
The 17" tire size on the G35 (and Maxima and Altima) is not a widely available size and they have been out since the 00 Maxima came out in mid 1999 so I don't think your going to see more available anytime soon.
You'll save a lot of money in the long run by purchasing a set of 16" steel wheel with "decent" looking hubcaps (that's an oxymoron!) and swapping out your beautiful 17" wheels and tires for the snows for December-February/March.
I found that the best All Season tires are no match for the cheapest dedicated snow tires and you get the added benefit of reducing the miles you drive on those 17" (which are way more expensive to replace) than the snows. (Just my 2 cents.)
The stocks rims are expensive and doing what you said is a great idea. I can do it myself since I have all the equipment. Looks like tirerack.com might my next best friend :-)
Great advice. Thanks again :-)
I called the dealer..they thought it might be bad gas (Ihad filled the tank the day before but it ran fine after filling, and again that morning).
The dealer tested it and said the ignition coils were bad. They have ordered a set. My concern is that they said the car is OK to drive until they come in. Obviously the timing is way off, and Im afraid of damaging the engine. Naturally they had no loaners, and they are closed over the holiday weekend.
Shoudl I be concerned? Could I fry the entire electrical system? Thanks
