Checked with dealers around me, and none has financial offer for 20110 mdx, and could you give me your dealer's name and city? Thanks

I got the quote 42268 for 2010 MDX tech and 43619 for 2011 MDX tech?
But, I do not like the color of 2010 MDX tech (Cherry).
It is worth to have 2010 MDX tech in the expense of color?
  • dvricedvrice Member Posts: 75
I hope you are kidding. Spend over $40k for a vehicle with a color you don't like. Ask them to try to dealer trade or go for the 2011.

No wonder your guys did not believe me. The dealer called me today telling me the 0.9 financing is not available for 2011 MDX. Even though they wanted to back out, they did honor the contract eventually. I guess I was lucky, however without the 0.9 financing, I would not make the commitment in the first place (save about $156 per 10k load per point of interest for 36 months, which adds up quick).

    Hi everyone,

Looks like we will be a first time Acura owner Monday if all goes well. After looking at new 2010 base models and some used we came across a 2008 Sport with the Entertainment and Tech package. It is Black with the Taupe interior and also has running boards and the roof rack. Here is the really good part it only has 9700 miles on it and we got it for $37,800 which from what I can tell it a pretty good price.

Now for the bad part it’s at Jay Wolfe Acura in KC and we live in Denver…. road trip! Our sales rep has looked it over twice and says it’s in excellent condition, we are still waiting on pictures but have read the Car Fax on it. If all goes well we will leave here on Sunday and drive it back on Monday.

Has anyone ever used this service? Pricing on MDX's seems very competitive to what others are posting on the boards.
  • tejchicagotejchicago Member Posts: 2
Got an email offer from a local dealer (Chicago area) on their remaining 2010 MDX Advance w/Entertainment models.

Don't have all the details, highlights were 36 months, 10K miles per year, $0 sec deposit, $7K additional cap cost reduction, $499/month.

Will try to chat with them tomorrow to get the rest of the details, but did get my attention, curious to other opinions.

    thx

I have just signed the 2010 MDX. But, I found that there was a dent/scrath in the front bumper. Salesman told he took care of that. Is there anything I can ask to them?

What dealership? Was it tech & ent or tech with aftermarket DVD?
Did you have to take what's on the lot or can pick color?
    Did the price include destination?

I'm getting quotes for 2010 w/ Tech for around 41.6 to 41.9k plus TTL. Seems to be the best prices for me in my area.
  • tamsrustamsrus Member Posts: 11
wow..you got a pretty good deal if you can get it at 41.6k for the 2010.
    what state are you in?
also does anyone know where to get the best deals on the accessories?
  • dpaluszekdpaluszek Member Posts: 9
Florida, this was from a North Florida dealer (surprisingly, this is the same exact dealer that gave me the best price when I bought my 2008 Acura TL when there was the $3k rebate).
  • srs149srs149 Member Posts: 35
How did it turn out? Truly, the only way to fix it properly is to repaint the entire bumper clip or at the very least to paint a wide area of the clip and then to clear-coat the entire bumper. otherwise, it's just not done properly and will likely look it.

i almost had a similar situation when purchasing my 2010 MDX tech/ent whereby the dealer was in MD and i'm a PA resident so don't need the front bumper bracket. I was about to walk from the deal because i didn't want them touching up scratched paint if the bracket had been put on too tightly. Luckily, when we took the bracket off, it hadn't scratched the paint and we were therefore able to colormatch two plugs to fill the bolt holes and leave the rest of the bumper untouched. Their local paint guy who did the plugs told me that in order to fix a scratched bumper properly, the whole thing should be reshot.

I bought floor mats from Curry Acura, they offer genuine Acura accessories and the shipping was immediate. You should check out there website. i think they are based out of NY.
  • svofan2svofan2 Member Posts: 442
You are so right...and what a councidence...I just bought allweather mats and the carpeted cargo mat from Curry. After researching most of all the offers by different places and also calculating shipping I finally decided on Crry which includes shipping in all their prices, they where even lower than Bernardi in MA...I orde Monday and got them in NJ Thursday via FedEX....they are great in my book and that is where I will order from now on...yes they ARE in Scarsdale NY....

Got the 2010 MDX w/ Tech at 41.6K yesterday. It also included the mud guards, wheel locks, trunk tray, and three free oil changes. They also gave us what we wanted on our trade-in. With the 1.9% financing, can't go wrong. Wife is very happy. :-)

Dealer was Duval Acura, Jacksonville, FL. They have one 2010 left, I believe it's a base model. You'll probably be able to snag it a great deal since it's their last one.

I am interested in buying a 2010 MDX Tech. The dealer has 4 left. I test drove the color I thought I wanted (white). It had 6 miles on it. When I started the car, an indicator said "battery low." When I got the car up to 55 mph there was a bit of a rhythmic vibration. Salesman said tires probably had flat spots from sitting on the lot. He said it just needed to be run at highway speed for half an hour or so and they could top up the charge nthe battery. Would you pass this one up? Or are these just minor transitory issues? I assume many 2010s have sat on the lot for a period, is this normal stuff?
  • dvricedvrice Member Posts: 75
I would be more concerned about the vibration issue than battery. Take the MDX out for a 20 min test drive (to charge the battery), then try starting it again and the battery low warning should be gone.

For the vibration issue, I would take teh MDX on an extended test drive. Go for a 30 or 40 minute drive including highway travel. See if the vibration go away quickly and never returns.

I would not spend over $40k on a vehicle if I had any apprehensions of it having problems.
  • svofan2svofan2 Member Posts: 442
This is senseless...why the exposure to a potential problem?...they will not let you drive the MDX for any extended period of time and rack up miles that will be very hard to esplain to another buyer if you don't buy...pass it...unless the saving are soooo great that it makes it worth for you to deal with a problem from day...remember if the service deptmt says "it is normal to all these vehicles"....you will be dancing very hard..pass it..and get something that at least looks and feels good thus reducing your potential problems in the future..
  • srs149srs149 Member Posts: 35
that car's been on the light a while, hence the shudder and the low bat. after a few runs, the low batt intdicator will go away and my guess is (because mine had the same issue), the flat-spot issue is real. Did it make the wheel vibrate at all? if not, likley a rear-wheel flat spot or balance issue. if braking makes things shudder or if the vehicle pulls, it;s alignment. i bought mine in MD and drove it back to Philly area. it took a full day for the vibration to subsitde. i'm still having it taken in to look at an iPod connectivity issue, wheel balance, and navi update (if possible and free of charge)

Try Sons Acura in Morrow, GA. It's alittle south of the city but they have good pricing. Go thru their internet department to get the best deal.

    Good luck

Hi, I'm new here and have been looking for a used MDX. I was quoted an 08 used MDX TECH with 34,900 miles for $35500 (including tax and fees). I'm in the CA Bay Area. Is this a good price?

    Thank you!
  • gasmeistergasmeister Member Posts: 5
Looking at a 2011 Tech + Entertainment. Local dealer's first offer was $44585 including destination, side mouldings & wheel locks. His other fee was $449 for miscellaneous dealer profit, plus TTL. Truecar.com has $44815 as a so-called "good deal" for this vehicle in my area. Your thoughts?

    Hi
I live in PA and thinking to buy 2011 MDX. Can you let me know the name of dealership you bought it from? Thank you.
  • lastdukelastduke Member Posts: 3
Just know we are going to have a baby mid of next year. Thinking to buy a MDX for this new family member. Should I buy now or wait for the mid of next year? I wad told all the promotion only available from the third quarter of the year.

second, why most of you bought 2011 tech package? I talked to dealer today, he told me 2010 and 2011 are the same car for base model. The tech model includes, the GPS, bigger screen for the back-up radar, better sound system(not sure). If they are all included in tech pacakge, I would like to save this money. How much will be a good price for the base 2010/2011 model?

I received two differentt quotes for MDX 2011 Tech and Ent.
    $46780 plus TT&L
    $47640 plus TT&L
I think still it is too high. Did anyone buy for cheaper than this price in Texas(Houston, Dallas and Austin)?
  • zipcountzipcount Member Posts: 3
    Thank you.
  • selvappselvapp Member Posts: 15
    Ramssaran,

Check Truecar for local prices, I found average selling price in Houston to be $45868 plus TT&L for the 2011 Tech/Ent. I am looking to buy by the end of this month as well and will let you know if I get a better deal. Also I have heard that Amex car buying is good as well but truecar had lower prices.
Let me know which dealership you talked to in Houston.
  • ramssaranramssaran Member Posts: 36
Champion Acura in Houston and Sterling Acura of Austin. I also looking to by within 2 weeks.

    mcgrath acura of morton grove..illinois
  • selvappselvapp Member Posts: 15
Truecar states there is a dealer holdback of $1623, so the true dealer cost is $49081 including $860 for destination and $ 300 for regional ad fees- this is for the Houston area.
  • ramssaranramssaran Member Posts: 36
For the Tech and Ent's dealer cost is $43864. Should we start the negotiation from $43864?
    :):):)
  • selvappselvapp Member Posts: 15
Exactly! The factory invoice is $45309 and dealer cost is $43864, so anything inbetween those two should be a good deal! I am doing a test drive with Gillman Acura on Friday and I will let him know there might be two of us interested. It is always easier to get a good deal if they have it in stock and don't have to trade for it. Have you checked the inventory to see if anyone has your prefered color and options available?
  • ramssaranramssaran Member Posts: 36
    edited October 2010
Yes, I did check their inventory but they did not have my prefered color.
Did anyone get the 2011 MDX below the invoice price?

I was told by a Honda dealer that you can easily take your MDX to AAA and they can install a trailer hitch for a much better price and that a lot of people do this.
I would recommend checking them out.

I personally am looking for a base MDX 2010 preferably to keep costs low. Looking for $35k OTD but SOL for now. :(
