Who's going to report first?
I just picked-up my new 2015 CRV...... here are the details
State: North Carolina (Greensboro)
Model: 2015 CRV EX-L FWD (with Wheel Locks, Nitogen filled tyres)
Vehicle Price: $25,000
Tax: $766.17
Tag: $68.00
Doc Fees: $539.00
OTD: $26,373.17
I think I got an excellent deal (looks like weather helped me big time....as they were not selling any cars for the past 2 weeks and desparate to sell cars before EOM. It was easy and not an hard negotiation (sent email by giving my correct phone#, spoke to sales rep.....he offered $25,950 and reduce $500 more if I buy the same day) .
BTW I was debating myself whether to buy CRV or not after reading about Vibration issues on this forum.....so I tried my best to concentrate on that aspect (RPM never came down below 600 or 650....just above the line ".5" between 1 and zero) in my test drive and I didn't notice any vibration. So far so good.
Thank you 'brian125', I'm going to buy "Mud guards, all season floor mats, cargo tray and Chrome Exhaust Finish" from Honda parts for $336.36 including shipping. Thank you :-)
Just curious at what RPM does your CRV stay at when it's all warmed up in D with all off?
I test drove 2 CRV at 2 different dealerships yesterday. One vibrated, the other one didn't. Go figure. I don't know if they are sent "in batches", or what. In my quest for a CRV, I tested a few CRVs from different dealerships. It was hit or miss.
All I can tell you is that the EX models CRVs are selling like hotcakes. There are people waiting for new ones to come in. I couldn't believe my eyes.
The vibration is ONLY on when the car is totally warmed up, STOPPED in D, and everything else shut off. As soon as you turn the lights, heat or whatever on, it's normal, and does NOT vibrate. The RPM must be at minimally 750 in order for it not to vibrate. In my little experiment, some CRVs rpm goes below 600 (vibrate in D with all OFF), others seem to stay above 750 (don't vibrate in D with all OFF). It's almost as though they are calibrated differently.
*Remember it must be warmed up completely, STOPPED, everything OFF, and in DRIVE, not PARK!...watch the RPM needle. See if it dips below 600 RPM...this is when it starts vibrating. If it stays above 750 RPM,-no vibration-well, in my tests these didn't.
The Vibration issue with 2015 Honda CR-V discussion is probably the most active vibration discussion right now and likely a better place to follow the issue (the newest question is whether it's a more common issue with AWD CR-Vs).
I wanted to buy last week but was extremely busy at work. Should I wait until end of March now? The other dealers want me to visit in person or call before they reveal any pricing. The closest one is the dealer I contacted through Costco and he needs to see my membership card to give me price sheet, so I might just visit him.
What's a good price I can ask if I wanted to call a few dealers around me? Invoice or less than invoice? Also, I would like a trailer hitch, rear backup sensors, and floor mats, should I ask for a price inclusive of these options?
I will get financing from my credit union although I would take the 0.9% Honda fin, if available.
Thanks for your help!
Sit tight and do nothing till after the new Honda incentives come out for the month of March. Usually by the 7th. Then start negotiating the last week of March. End of the 1st quarter will help you this month. If you don't want to wait till months end .....target price ( invoice to 500 below dealers invoice) on your model.
Wait till end of the month then :
Target 10 to 15 dealerships. Email / call the internet dept/ managers directly. Buying this way end of the month will net you the best price results.
If you start your calls before the 28th you will take away a lot of your buying leverage. This is the month to make a good deal.
Good luck

Wow, invoice is about 27,302...so you got a 2015 EX-L FWD for $2300 under invoice...great!!
Anyone in MA/RI/NH looking for a good dealer to work with, I highly recommend Weymouth Honda.
INTERNET SELLING PRICE: $30,969
ESTINATION and HANDLING: $880
EALER INSTALLED OPTIONS: $482 (protection package)
STATE SALES TAX: $2324.77
NJ TIRE TAX: $7.50
DOCUMENTATION FEE: $369
REGISTRATION: $301 for 4 year MV registration with lien
OTD = $35333.27
raj- i cant seem to get them under 35 myself..
Honda CRV AWD Touring, at Weymouth Honda in Massachusetts, quoted:
Price: $30,934 (includes destination fee)
Options: $825.80 (remote starter, wheel locks, splash guards)
Sales Tax: $1986.68
Registration: $150
Documentation: $220
Total, Out the Door, Pricing: $34,143.48
also are they opening up .9 financing to the crv.. seems theyve done it for everything else?
Sales tax in MA is 6.25%. The registration/documentation fee was non-negotiable. Not sure if you could persuade the dealer to include the destination fee? (Some seem to include this, and some don't). I couldn't do any better than the pricing above, and I tried about 10 dealers across MA/RI/NH. I physically went to 3 dealers that agreed to the above pricing but 1 tried to bait & switch to the EX-L, and the other gave me $1,500 less for my trade.
Good Luck!!
I got a final offer for 2015 Honda CRV EX-L Black for $28400 out the door in MD, is this the best deal or is it worth to shop around.
I'll pick it up next weekend!!
In NJ, from one dealer, I got a quote of $28K OTD (TTL included and no destination fee) for 2015 Honda CRV EX-L
So, basically in $28K , I can walk out with 2015 Honda CRV EX-L
When asked how many miles it has? He said 7 miles
Manufactured in Mexico
Is there anything else I need to ask because the price is really good? VIN number? Any defect in the vehicle?
Although I wanted white color, but this one is Silver and I am ok with it
The dealer is a big and reputed one. I went to 3 other dealers and none is ready to honor this price.
Can someone please tell me how to make sure that I am not being scammed or taken for ride and its a genuine offer
Dealer was ready to make the deal today but I wanted to wait till Monday/Tuesday
Also, about the vibration issue, he said I can drive it and see myself and only buy once its confirmed that there is no vibration issue
speaking of contacting multiple dealers via e-mail.. anyone have a speil or template they send out.. I think i am going to send out the realistic numbers i'd like and tell them i am e-mailing to multiple dealers..
is it too risky to put them in on e-mail or do it individually?
any tips on e-mailing to seal a deal? i will be in milwaukee last week of march.. when should i begin my contact, and when should i go in? first time new car buyer..
thanks guys!
I filled out their e-forms/Internet inquiry forms and then used my dealer's lowest price to as the others to meet or beat. I knew the Tourings were scarce and I wouldn't be in it for a month or so... I was willing to wait.
Good luck!!
I did as you said, the RPM is staying at 600 or 550 (Slightly above the half-way line between 1 and 0) and if I really concentrate then I feel little vibration but not as much as it did on youtube video (or on abc news video). The vibration I'm getting is negligible and even you don't notice if you haven't heard about this issue.
So far, I'm happy......smooth and quiet ride and I'm enjoying it. Thanks

Hello,
I just received my official military orders and I will be coming back 25th of March. I am a DOD civilian employee and I would love to buy my CRV from you. I wanted to touch base again as I know the March incentives, end of quarter, rebates, and other factors could certainly allow you to provide a better price this time.
I would like a quote on 2015 BLACK INTERIOR/BLACK EXTERIOR HONDA CRV TOURING AWD WITH NAV and the following options included in price:
BACK UP SENSORS
REMOTE START
This is realistically where I know I could stay around,:
Price: $30,934 (includes destination fee)
Options including install: $825.80 (remote starter, back up sensors)
Sales Tax: $1986.68
Registration: $150
Documentation: $220
Total, Out the Door, Pricing: $34,143.48
I would really appreciate a PDF quote that includes literally every charge. So tax, installation costs, destination cost, title, license, and any other charges or fees so that I can really compare apples to apples.I will have to compare to see what the several other dealerships in the area can do, and want the best price. Any incentive or gift cards, rebates, etc. should not be factored into the final quote but can certainly be mentioned in the e-mail. The car being 7+ months old, and the 2016 being closer to release there will need to be considerable depreciation, and would hope you can figure that in.
Please let me know if you have one on lot, or if it needs to be ordered as that will impact my decision.
As I said before, If I receive this final quote, price is right, and everything is good to go, I can guarantee I will advance to the next step. I will walk in and sign and we can talk about financing or even talk about it through e-mail.
Thank you so much for all of your work in advance.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with you and hope I can do business with you.
Let me know what you can do!
See you in two weeks
what do you guys think?
also.. BIG QUESTION:
I plan to buy after market accessories ( like 10) and have them installed... is it fopa to have an actual honda dealer do the installation? like is that a slap in the face? dont really know the etiquitte on that..
you guys are the best!
When I sent my notes out, all the others wanted to see the quotes of others with the lower costs. I had my initial quote to work with. Some may want to see your quote.
Check out cargurus.com to see the inventory available in your area. You'll know if the dealers are being truthful about having your preferred color & models in stock.
You have nothing to lose in trying!!
It looks like there are a total of 13 Tourings -- 5 white, 2 gray, 2 red, 1 orange, 1 black, and 2 unknown available within 100 miles of Milwaukee.
i just left NJ dealer and signed for EX Awd for 28k OTD and they'll cut me a check on final payment of my Kia Lease.
if urs is on AWD then wow, just wow, what magic did you work?
I guess I have decided not to go with Honda CRV most probably because of vibration issues and people going with lemon law against 2015 crv
If you are in NJ, please message me and I can hook you up with the dealer
Car is Silver in color
Either choice RDX or CRV is very good. Save a few dollars or status quo
A wise man once told me... Its not the car brand you drive that makes you special but the people in that car that make you and life special

OK ! I am a new 2015 CRV owner, after changing my mind on purchase of a RAV4 here at a Toyota-Honda dealer in Ohio. I ended up getting a White EX with the beige cloth interior (I am not fond of leather seats). After having driven it about 17-18 miles on a final assessment, I finally declined the Toyota RAV 4 XLE, and the RAV4 Limited, to settle on this Honda. After a very long drive in both Toyotas (both great cars), what sold me on the Honda:
1) Updated technology features (love the blind spot camera on the passenger side), 2) better fuel economy of the Honda, and 3) like the dashboard layout much better than the Toyo. I did like the Toyo 6 speed tranny, but it did shift a huge amount, especially in economy mode, even going up very slight grades at freeway speeds. I finally decided that putting up with some vibration at idle was a worthwhile trade-off to gain 3-4 MGP, and to get a nicer ride. The Toyo Limited RAV4 had a virtually punishing ride, and thumped and shuddered constantly (probably due to 18 inch wheels and low aspect ratio tires). I am 62 years old, and decided I did not want to go back to stiff "sport" suspensions. I will keep everybody posted on my experiences with the CRV. There are only 89 miles on this car, so cannot speak to specifics right not. The display in the dash, and the menu option capability (along with personally programming various parameters) simply blows Toyota away. If technology is important to you, there is no contest between Honda and Toyota regarding RAV4 vs. CRV.
I would love to have test driven a Subaru, but no dealer around here. I am DONE with having to hassle with dealerships in remote locations. Nothing but hassles. GLTA CRV owners. I am now one of them...for good OR bad. BTW...I also bought a 36 month top-to-bottom extended warranty (cost was $ 1145). I decided to do so given that 1) I tend to keep cars 10 years or longer, and 2) this CRV has a new Atkinson engine, and a new CVT tranny. I suspect Honda has done its engineering homework, but want to protect myself anyway.
The extended warranty (now totally 72 months) gives me 3 additional years, plus 100K mileage. Since I only drive about 8K miles per year, it was the TIME guarantee that was important to me, not the miles driven.
I have spent many hundreds of miles driving an early model (i.e. 2004) Nissan Murano with CVT. Compared to the Murano tranny, the new CRV tranny is a real delight. I think, as I have previously stated, the vibration complaints about this car are more about the engine (and computer-controlled idle speeds), than about the tranny proper. Just MHO. As an owner of a 2000 Ford Ranger, and 2004 Murano, I can testify that either the RAV4 Toyo or Honda CRV are light years ahead of the Murano in NVH (noise-vibration-harshness) terms.
I think when new owners of the CRV simply live with it for a while, the angst about these "vibration gremlins" will dissipate a bit.
GOOD LUCK to all Honda AND RAV4 owners ! BOTH are competent autos. Different strokes for different folks.

Thanks for listening to me.

I financed through Honda Credit @ 2.74% simple interest. My credit score: 816, JFYI.
We got the touring. We feel the same way as of now about the vibration. ...we still like everything about the car. The technology is great. Like driving a computer
has anyone ever go the route of asking bout a complimentary "loaner" car from the lot instead of paying for a rental? please let me know!
also, has anyone bought any after market products such as accessories and had them installed? is considered a slap in the face to the dealer as you didnt buy them initially? i have noticed they are signifigantly cheaper at websites like college hills honda and definitely want them.. but wanted to hear everyone's opinion first.
thanks!
Touring AWD: $30,934.05
Total Accessories: $1165.40 (splash guards, Honda remote start, extra key fob for remote start, wheel locks, and body side molding)
