so I got this deal offered not sure where i standc2015LX-AWD

seems pretty strong but hard to tell for sure without knowing all the numbers.

Is the $2K going for up front fees, taxes and first month's payment?

I'm looking at leasing a 2015 CRV-LX AWD. The MSRP on it is 25366. What would a fair offer be and how do I go about negotiating the price? I have excellent credit and willing to put down approximately $3K. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've got a quote for a 2015 EX AWD in Philly - $283 per month including tax/$2200 out of pocket/12k per year for 36 months. This includes a $500 veteran credit. I don't believe much changed between November and December in terms of incentives, but I wanted to confirm that this would be a good deal (other dealers were considerably higher). Could I do better?

I would direct you to the "CR-V Prices Paid" discussion to see what others are paying.

We do not recommend putting money down on a lease as you would lose it if the car were stolen or totaled.

What are the MSRP and selling prices? Without that, we can't tell you if the lease payment is good or not.

hey 101audi...what state is that IN? I am looking for the exact same deal for my daughter in FL but can't get close to that. I am in Indiana... when I contact FL (Orlando)they have hundreds of dollars in extra dealers fees... one actually told me it is just pure profit.. well at least he was honest.

I'm in grad school and looking to lease a 2015 Honda cr-v EX AWD for the family. If someone could let me know if this is a good deal and if I can bring it down any lower. Since the dealership is closed i can't explain such a high sales tax.

Not certain how Michigan establishes sales tax on a lease. It's either a tax on the monthly payment or a tax on the entire depreciated amount, charged up front.

Either way, with your MSRP and net sales price, along with the .00160 MF and 65% residual for the EX AWD for 36/12, I get a pre-tax payment of $354.68/mo.

Your quote of $343/mo looks very strong in comparison.

Best deal I could find. Feel like I could have gotten a better deal but they paid me 1k over the KBB value of my trade-in.

With that said ... MF is .00160 and 63% for LX AWD; 62% for EX-L AWD

.00010 increase to waive the security deposit and $595 acq.fee added to the CAP cost and it's around $340/mo.+tax..

You'd still have 1st payment and title/registration/doc fee due at signing..

Man... the money factors for Honda leases are significantly higher than other leases I've worked up.

On a CR-V LX AWD, the interest portion of the monthly payment alone is around $65 with a money factor of .0016.

Yep, the new CR-V is that popular; Honda doesn't see a need to offer a subsidized MF on it.

However, there is no payment left since the balance has been paid off. the vehicle is in good shape.

A few things to note about the information you have provided.

1 - the base MF for the CR-V this month is .0016 - it looks like your dealer is marking that up on you for extra profit

2 - sales tax in NJ for leases is only calculated for the amount of depreciation - the difference between the net cap cost (Sale price + any fees added on), not the entire selling price. In your case, $29,519 + $369 + $308.50 = $30,197 - $18,990 = $11,207 * 7% = $784. You can pay this amount up front or add it into the net cap cost and spread it out over all the lease payments.

3 - I don't understand how you have a lease that expires in August yet you say it is paid off. Can you confirm with Honda Finance that no money is due from now until August?

4 - Negotiate your best selling price first. Regarding the trade in, find out the current value by using our experts over on the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion. The KBB retail price may not match what the dealer will give you in trade. If you have equity, consider having the dealer cut you a check for that amount. Do not use it as 'down payment' to buy down the monthly payment on the CR-V. If the car is stolen or totaled sometime during the lease, you lose that money.

I actually paid off the total lease payment as I traded in my previous car. that is why I don't have any balance to pay off. so it's actually I am paying about ~$415/mo for three years.
