Midnight Jade ..... was a tossup between that and the white - but we went with Jade as it had the auto-dim mirror, white one didn't have it. Got bit worried about keeping white car clean etc.
Is aquisition/disposition fee, DMV, doc fee or bank fee negotiable in a lease or are they preset amounts?
Of those listed, the only one that is sort of negotiable is the doc fee; the dealer will tell you that they have to charge everyone the same amount. You can adjust your offer to offset that fee.
Everything is is mandated either by the state or the bank and cannot be negotiated out.
can someone comment on this .. bought the rouge, the delaer put $308 for license and tire fee. I'm in NJ 07002. Got a mail - saying i owe additional $100 to pickup the license - they'll show the breakdown. This is on top of doc fee ($300). Anywhere i can check, what exact price i should be paying? Just want to make sure i don't get ripped off.

Tire fee is fixed $7.50.
They are correct when they say you have to pay the difference as they most likely miscalculated how much it'd cost to register the vehicle (like a venza i got once, they calculated as a car, but it was actually an SUV, etc).

The doc fee, and title and registration fee have no correlation with one another.
thanks .. only thing i can think of .. i checked that calculator earlier, there ware two tiers of SUV .. and if you go with SL vs SV trim - SL weighs bit more and goes right over the weight cutoff - so the fee is about $100 more. Perhaps that is the case - as long as it is legit fee that they pay out to 3rd party - there is no issue. Was surprised that they would miscalculate, being that they are in NJ, and they do this on daily basis.
I just bought a White 2015 Rogue SV AWD with Family and Premium packages, splash guards, Floor Mats and Auto dim inside mirror from WA State area. MSRP was $30,420 plus TTL. White color is extra 395$ but I loved white. Finally settled it for 26,990 + Taxes and got financed for 3 years with 0% interest and down payment. First 2 oil changes free. Is it good deal or I missed. I didn't see the Forum earlier ?
Family package means your Rogue is a 7-seater right? Can you share real world experience on 3rd row seats? Is it practical to use?
hi everyone i'm new to this car buying always bought used cars never new so i would appreciate your guys input and opinions i'm looking for a 2015 rogue s no options was quoted 23,199.22 out the door im in NC i think its high but they won't lower what do you guys think? thank you
If you aren't in any hurry, the best deals are generally at the end of the month when (most) dealers are trying to make their sales numbers.
Never hurts to get more quotes either.
You can drill down using the Make|Model tabs up top and see what our True Market number is before your taxes and fees. That's the number to try to beat.
I just purchased a Rogue SV with premium package and floor mats, MSRP $28,535 at a dealership in Hamilton Twp. NJ. I traded in a 2011 Hyudai Sonata GLS with 45K miles in good condition. The price of the car was $25,069. I used the Buyers Edge to get this price before going to the dealership. They gave me $9,000 for the trade for a total price of $16,069 before tax and tags. I opted for the 0% financing so the price included a $250 rebate.

Got an AWD 2015 Rogue SV, MSRP $26,935.00 $23,186 (includes 885 Freight) +300 Dealer Processing Charge +4 Tire Recycling +910.86 Tax (VA) +20 Registration +55.50 Title Fees +15.00 Temporary Tag fees -1000 (250 nmac financing and 750 customer cash) = 23491.18 OTD Also got 2.49% financing. Not the best deal I've gotten from Nissan but on the road for ~23.5 was fine because the model is relatively new.

This is the first time I'm writing here but wanted to report my new lease. Nissan Rogue 2015 S AWD with Family Package $400 1st payment Including title and registration Monthly payment - $285
Leased AWD SL with premium package, 330/month, 2500 down payment, that incl. tax and lic. 12000 miles/y 2y Msrp was 29300 + 1900 premium package + 500 mats etc. totals on the lease contract was msrp 33150 residual 67% Registration fee 101 doc fee 168 title fee 95 electronic fee 25 tax 8%
0.15 / mile extra 395 disposition fee end lease have to pay for the maintenance myself
i am new to the states so the insurance is 150/month with Geico - cheapest I could get for a leased car
i also discovered that Nissan automatically includes Gap insurance, so I don't need it
btw what is Sell rate, any idea ?
Apparently Nissan closes year in March, so it might pay off to hang around dealership on 31 march
The "sell rate" is the money factor the dealer uses to calculate the lease. The "buy rate" is the base rate provided by the bank. Sometimes the sell rate is marked up over the buy rate, to provide extra profit for the dealer.
Just bought a rogue sl awd premium pk. Mud guards, number cover, auto mirror and floor mats in pearl white. Paid 29603. Plus 299. Doc and 399 mv fee. Think I got a decent price in central NJ.

Can you give me your *honest* opinion on this deal?
Purchase made in Tampa, Fl. on 5/2/2015.... Car was pretty much straight off the truck and newly manufactured.
2015 Nissan Rogue SV w/ SV Premium Package: Car had 6 miles at purchase. ----- Options Overview ----- So Navigation and all associated perks with this package. Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, Etc. Lane and Blindspot Assists Around View Cameras Chrome Rear Bumper Wheel Locks Full Tint Standard Car Mats Rubber Car Mats (I negotiated this during final negotiations so we will probably sell one of the mats on Amazon) Full Tank Gas 1st Oil Change Free
----- Prices Overview ----- MSRP: $27,480 Discount: $3,309.08 Manufactur Rebates to Customer: $250 (We took 0% financing for 60 months instead of 3.79% which allowed +$500 more rebates)
So Dealership Discounted Price was: $23,920.92 Taxable Fees: $106.50 Pre-Delivery Service Fee: $699 Florida Sales Tax: $1,548.59 Tag\Title\Etc: $200
Balance OTD: $26,475.01
We did take the 0% Financing for 60 Months through Nissan which lost us $500 in Rebates but it was better to lose the rebate than pay 3.79% (or secure our own financing). We also paid $9,000 down so financing total was like $17,475 or so. Payment is $291\Month.
In terms of OTD cost, is this a poor\good\great deal? I felt like I did an excellent job negotiating but want to know if I could have done a little better for future reference... I do plan on buying another new car in 2-3 years to replace our aging Civic and want to know how I did with this purchase. As it stood, I did leave the dealership when they wouldn't go lower then $26,800 sales prices (without TTL) and the sales rep literally got in a car to wave us down to come back while the Manager called me to negotiate over the phone. Manager agreed to $26,500 OTD with 0% financing over phone so we turned around and purchased it.
I've been shopping 2015 Rogue AWD AL w/premium package for months.
Below is the deal I got and wondering if it is good. I also calculated the sales tax to be less (7% in NJ) Also, doc fee and dmv seem high. Window etch? is that necessary?
lol, window etching is worthless. If you insist, you can get a kit from JC Whitney for $10 and do it yourself. And yeah, the doc fee is a rip too.
The sales price, on the other hand, doesn't sound bad. I get $29,995 when I look up TMV for a Newark zip code (you mean the SL trim I think?). That includes destination and the current $500 incentive we show.
I'd try taking the $28k sales price you have and add in the sales tax and counter with that number as your "out the door" price. Don't know about that high DMV fee but you could call DMV and ask I suppose. Could be legit.

Pretty good deal I would say. Mine was a similar deal (minus the tint and rubber mat) except I got the AWD version and a trade in which means less tax.
MSRP: $28,875 Discounted to -$3,725 Rebate -$250 ( 0% percent 72 months, I thought it was only 60 months, it's in the finance contract I signed, so no take-backsy) Tax $880 (8% in PA, less because of $14k trade in on $11,500 payoff) tags/title/paperwork $297
OTD $26,177 (would have been $27,297 without trade in tax difference, saved $1120 on taxes)
There was no extra fees like pre-delivery service fee or taxable. The only extra fee anyone should be paying is tags/titles and taxes, anything else is just BS.
Only surprise deal is the 72 months vs 60 months 0% but all in all not too bad.
Just bought new 2015 Rogue SL with Moon roof package. MSRP was 32030.00,paid 26200.00 plus 700.00 dealer fee.Total 26900.00. Deal required financing through Nissan at 3.99%. Nissan requires just 4 payments then you can payoff loan with a fee. Since we were going to put 10,000.00 down,we will make first 4 payments at 2500.00 each then payoff loan or refinance it.
@fam277, I get a TMV of $24,837 for a Chicagoland zip code. That includes destination and a $500 incentive we're showing for a SV AWD. Looks like you are beating the "average" too, and free money is good.
2015 AWD Rogue SL w/Premium package, floor mats, auto-dimming mirror+Homelink. MSRP was $33,030, bought it for $28,800 in Northern VA, before taxes & dealer fee. I used USAA's car buying service, and the 0.0% APR + $250 cash back incentives.

HELP. I'm negotiating a 2015 rouge sl awd with premium package. The dealership is at 29,393 without taxes or fees. MSRP iS 32,210. They are giving me nearly 8K for my trade in and I would finance 0% for 60 or 72 with a $250 rebate. Out the door pricing is 23,890 all inclusive wit my tRade and doc fees etc... I' want to get them down to 23,450. Is that a good price? I seriously have no clue if there is anything I'm missing here. I'm in central New Jersey.

You can start by using the Edmunds pricing tools - use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to get started. Ideally, you want to beat the "TMV" price listed.
I need help with buying a Rogue AWD SL in Maryland. Is an OTD price of $28,500 crazy to hope for? It would put price aro$26,300 before TTL and dealer fees. I am not having ANY luck negotiating through email and dealers look at me like I am a crazy person when I suggest it in person.
Also, anyone being charged a $300 government fee? This was on one quote I received in addition to doc fee of $300???
For reference to ours. Got a 2015 Nissan Rogue S. MSRP $24,290, ended up getting a sales price of around $20,590. Pretty much it was invoice minus $2,000 dealer discount with additional $500 rebate and $250 captive cash. No VPP or Grad discount. This is in Los Angeles.

I'm looking to purchase a 2015 Rogue SL Premium. I wanted to get your thoughts on whether or not Nissan's incentives typically stay the same or change for the better or worse for Labor Day. I see the current incentives will end 8/31/2015 and I'm trying to decide if I should buy now or gamble on September. I know that you do not have a definite answer, but your thoughts on Labor Day sales would be appreciated since you know the ropes better. Thanks in advance.

If you were leasing, I would tell you not to wait.. However, on a 2015 model, the chances of purchase incentives going away on September 1st seems slim..
Got $31,250 OTD price for 2015 Rogue SL 2WD Premium Pkg for the zip code 75034 (not a Pearl White color). Please let me know if this a good deal to buy this SUV.
Seemed high at first glance but you're talking OTD. I don't know your tax rates next door, but the TMV price before taxes and fees is $28,280, about $700 below invoice (destination of $885 is included in that number as is a $500 incentive).
Since TMV is an average your buying price should be at least $28,300 before the taxes and fees, and hopefully below.
It's the end of the month and if TMV is well below invoice, that means the dealers are likely aggressive, and there's probably some manufacture incentives out there we don't know about. I'd try for another $1,000 off and then "cave" on Monday, the last day of the month. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised.
First time leasing. Need help with the numbers for the Rogue SV model with premium package and moon roof. Zip code 20171. Credit score of 800 plus. Hoping to do 0 down payment. Checked the TMV for zip 20171 va and got 24,482.

Thanks Michael for the reply. We don't put in that many miles. 10k/12k would be more than enough I think from past experience. in that case how would that affect the figures.

2015 Rogue SV Premium Package and Family Package. Premium package gets the larger 7in screen with navigation and around view camera. Family package is for 3rd row seat.
Few extras put MSRP at $30,255. Paid $26,500 minus $750 rebate so $25750 net plus tax, license and doc fee. Got some all weather floor mats thrown in. Only paid extra for fabric protection since it has the light almond cloth interior. Great dealer experience. Hope this one goes like my last 3 Nissan's. Wife was downsizing from minivan but wanted 7 seat belts and good gas mileage. Having cake and eating it too.
I have been quoted 27699 for SL FWD with Premium package, floor mats, splash guards, chrome bumper protector out the door for st louis zip, is this a fair price?

Out the door with SL and premium package is a very nice deal... MSRP should be around $33,500... True car value for 2015 is 27500 or something. You got it for 27699 OTD.
Try negotiating but these offers do not come in 2016 versions and 2015 versions are going fast, grab it...

But, that's not my money..

Since TMV is an average your buying price should be at least $28,300 before the taxes and fees, and hopefully below.
I guess you passed on the CR-V back in July eh?
Thank you

Few extras put MSRP at $30,255. Paid $26,500 minus $750 rebate so $25750 net plus tax, license and doc fee. Got some all weather floor mats thrown in. Only paid extra for fabric protection since it has the light almond cloth interior. Great dealer experience. Hope this one goes like my last 3 Nissan's. Wife was downsizing from minivan but wanted 7 seat belts and good gas mileage. Having cake and eating it too.
Try negotiating but these offers do not come in 2016 versions and 2015 versions are going fast, grab it...
