2015 Lexus IS350 Lease Questions

There is only two lexus dealers in town and both are owned by the same company.

He did revise my money factor to .0009 and is now saying the payment would be $599 per month with $500 down. I still think hes a little high. Just not sure how to confirm that.

Expand your search to the next town with a Lexus dealer ... they think you won't do that, so they aren't scared enough of losing your business to make a good deal with you.

Nope, just some negotiation. I wanted a few extras anyway, but I played dumb and let the guy show me what the options were. Then I picked out the ones I wanted, let him add it into the monthly price, and then played the "Well, I really want these, but that payment is too high" card.

He played with the numbers a bit, and basically bought down the MF to get the payment down. He still made his money on the extra profit from the stuff I picked, and I got what I wanted with a lower payment. So, while I wouldn't say I won (the extras always have lots of profit built in), I got what I wanted and was able to shave a little bit of their profit off.

Also, since I went through the internet sales department they gave me everything "at cost". I'm sure that's not actually their real cost for this stuff, there's still plenty of profit built in, but at least the prices weren't complete rip offs.

I highly doubt you'll get anything less than 0.0009 without doing MSDs or add-ons. They aren't going to pay to buy down the MF unless they are making that back somewhere else.

All in all, I think I did OK.

Don't have those numbers specific to NJ. It'll be either one of the numbers quoted above.

Has anyone ever done a one pay lease with Lexus or with any other company? The allure is the savings on the interest, but the risk is i lose all the money if the car gets totaled. Is that accurate? Is it better to do multiple security deposits instead?

I am looking a the IS350 AWD (potentially with F-Sport). Any recent transacted prices?

Single pay leases aren't structured the same as a lease with a big CAP cost reduction. In exchange for making a single payment upfront, the money factor is reduced. The lease payment is calculated as though you were still making individual payments, just with that reduced money factor, then the lower payments are added together and that is your single payment.

In effect, your single payment is in an escrow account, and is used to make the (lower) payments each month, on your lease. If the lease ends early, the balance from your single payment is refunded to you, and it's treated as any other lease with an early termination paid off by insurance.

Lexus does have an MSD program, but I don't know the exact details - I think each security deposit lowers the MF by .00001, but don't quote me on that.
