How does an Option Allowance get taken into a lease?

Yes.. Option allowance is a fancy name for a rebate. It must be taken as a CAP cost reduction on the lease.

He is telling me the contract will show $5,845 because the $2465 rebate will be taken out as cap-reduction.
So I would be putting out of pocket: Fees & First month payment.

Shouldn't the rebate make my payment lower by $2465. It currently appears to me that the rebate is not doing anything.

The discounted MSRP to Selling price includes the $5000 incentive, but it doesn't include the rebate.

Using your prices, as is, I get a payment of $1200/mo before tax.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost - that should expose any issues with hidden fees and what is or isn't being used as cap reduction.

Also, find out what the $2141 covers - may not be enough for all the up front taxes and fees.

That's it.. the dealer is being pretty clear. The actual upfront money required to get that payment is $5845. But, you only have to come up with $3380. The rebate covers the rest.

.00134 is the base MF; dealer is marking it up for extra profit.

Packages do not affect the numbers.

Sorry, but we don't have any 2017 model lease info for April.

As far as discount off MSRP, the sky's the limit. These cars are depreciating like a rock off a bridge. Unless the factory is subventing the lease (supporting it), I think this car wouldn't lease very well. The residual would be appalling, even at 24 months. So either you or the factory is going to take a big hit come auction time.
