For some reason a couple dealers in Colorado seem to have a few FWD Tiguans. Not sure why they would even purchase them here but whatever. What are the numbers for 36/10k on a FWD Tiguan S and SE/Appearance? Thanks!

No difference between FWD and AWD Tiguans.

    .00001 and ..

    58% and $3000 lease cash for S
57% and $3500 lease cash for SE

I'm looking at an SE + Appearance pkg at the West Houston VW. They're doing $3500 lease cash and 2620 off the MSRP. Before I drive out to Houston does this look right?

    MSRP $32445
    -$6220 (2620 off msrp + 3500 lease cash)
    $1000 down
    36/mo 10k/yr - No Trade
    $625 Aquisition fee
    $700 dealer fee
    Tax 6.25%
    56% Residual
    0.0001 MF
    $243/month = $258 w/ tax

Tax is only $15/mo.? Unless they have special tax credits, Texas taxes the full selling price of the vehicle.

$700 dealer fee seems outrageous. Is it $1000, + fees and 1st payment? Or, just $1000 due at signing?

I get $337/mo (including tax) with those numbers; your quote looks pretty good by comparison.

However, you may be able to negotiate a better selling price; you are only getting $1300 off MSRP when you factor in the lease cash.

Thanks; could you also provide the 36/12k?

I'm trying to figure out the lease offer below shown under incentives. They show $2,499 due at signing; which I'm assuming is $1,645 of down payment plus the $229 first month...that leaves $625 that I don't know what it is. Obviously they don't show the RV, MF nor the Adjusted Cap Cost.

    Down Payment: $1,645
    Security Deposit: $0
    Lease Cash: $0
    Annual Mileage: 12,000
    Monthly Payment $229
    Month Term 36

Lease is based on the 2015 Tiguan 2.0T SE with automatic transmission. MSRP as equipped is $29,115. $607.2 Dealer contribution and $2,750. Dealer Cash (VCI Dealer Lease Bonus Cash) are required for the $229 monthly payment. $2,499 is due at signing. Tax, tags and insurance are extra. Must finance through Volkswagen Credit.

Add 2% to the residual for 12K.

What you're showing isn't an offer; it's an advertisement. The $625 could be the bank fee.

You should be able to do better on your own with decent negotiation skills.

I really would like to get a payment as close to $200 as possible including tax (6%). Based on this; what should my adjusted cap cost be if the dealer fee is $500 and the acquisition or bank fee is $625?

Start by negotiating your best price .. the deal in question assumes a $600 discount from sticker; the more you can negotiate, the lower your payment will be.

You could put more money down, as well. Though this is something we don't recommend; if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose any down payment.

Are you prepared to pay the dealer fee and bank fee up front or add them into the cap cost?

Based on MSRP of $29,115 and Invoice of $27,986, a 36mo/15k, with a dealer fee of $500 and acquisition fee of $625 a RV $15,430.95 (53%), and a lease cash of $2,750; if my calculations are right, I will need to shoot for an adjusted cap cost of $20,750 which is 25.86% off MSRP or $7,236 below invoice...that's a long shot right?

As far as paying the dealer fee and bank fee up front at the rate of .24% I might be better off just adding them to the cap cost as I'm only looking to do 1st month and DMV only at signing.

    Michaell,

One dealer is coming back w/o negotiation with selling price of $25,000. This is what I'm asking: If they take the VCI Dealer Lease Bonus Cash of $2,750…that puts them at $22,250 ($25,000-2,750). This is just $1,250 from where I need to be at which is $21,000 selling price.

I’m looking at no money out of pocked, just first month, tax on cap additions, and DMV which should be minimal as all I need is registration only, I’ll provide a tag.

Based on a 2015 Tiguan SE with Rubber Mat Kit and Roadside Assistance Kit
    36mo. & 15k miles/yr
    MSRP $29,435
    MF .0001
    RV 53% ($15,600.55)

Selling price will need to be at $21,000 to work for the payments to be at $200+/-.

    Plus:

Dealer Fee $699 (roll fee into lease)
Acquisition Fee $625 (roll fee into lease)

    Adjusted Cap Cost $22,324

    Depreciation fee - $186.76 ($22,324 - $15,600.55 / 36)
    Rent fee - $3.79 ($22,324 + $15,600.55 x .0001)
    Payment w/o tax $190.55
    Payment w/tax $201.98

Due at signing: $281.43 ($201.98 + $79.44 tax on cap additions) + DMV (just registration).

    Is this correct and attainable?

Correct? Yes. Attainable? Only your dealer can answer that. Offer them the $21,000 cap cost, show them your math for everything else and see what they say.

You may have to work with multiple VW dealers; get them to compete against each other.

One even said that he had never seen any RV over 50% and that the MF was more in line with a 4-5% interest equivalent. I guess they are doing well and must not need to sell. Anyway; are the numbers the same for the SE w/ Appearance?

Michaell, where can I find the info on the MF, RV & specially the $2,750 lease cash?

You just found it right here.. It's confidential dealer information (well, not the residual, so much).
Ok, thanks! Some dealers state that this information is not correct.

Some dealers want to keep you ignorant.

    Knowledge is power!
One even said that he had never seen any RV over 50% and that the MF was more in line with a 4-5% interest equivalent. I guess they are doing well and must not need to sell. Anyway; are the numbers the same for the SE w/ Appearance?
Individual packages and options do not affect the residual.

Same questions here, why is there no info on the 2016 in Edmunds? I also read an article on Edmunds that states 2016 don't come out until 2016 but I was at the dealer yesterday who has 2016 on the lot. Are these cars really 2016 or are they 2015.5, which I have heard that VW has done before? If so, what should I use for pricing and incentive information for the 2016 on the dealers lot.

Any info helpful, thanks in advance (No prices paid forum?)

P.S. My significant other likes this SUV better than the CR-V and RAV4 driven yesterday. Wondering if its worth test driving the Mazda or Ford.

    The 2016 is a 2016. The 2016 redesign will be a MY 2017.

OK. I guess Edmunds is just a little behind on updating its pricing. Will keep my eyes open.

Hello. Upon kyfdy recommendation on the Rav4 forum I have been looking at this model as an option. It looks solid. Can you give me some numbers for north Florida on the 2015's for 36/10k and 24/10k (or 12k miles if 10 isn't an option).

This is already posted for 36/15

    2015 - .00010 MF for all trims
    S - 54% and $2250 lease cash
    SE - 53% and $2750 lease cash
    SEL - 51% and $3750 lease cash

So I assume the MF and lease cash is still the same, just the RV would change on the lower mileage? Thanks

Add 2% for 12K and 3% for 10K miles options for 36 months.

    24/15 numbers:
    S - 65%
    SE - 64%
    SEL - 62%

    Same adjustments for lower miles.

Here is a local special deal. I just want to know if its a good deal, an okay deal or a bad deal.

    2016 Tiguan S for $159/month
The fuzzy math as I haven't talked to them personally is
    $26075 MSRP - $1000 bonud cash - $5140 dealer discount = $19935
    $2499 due at signing(includes $125 doc and $695, and 1st months payment)

It is obvious they are marking up the MF as a trade off for the steep "dealer discount". So is $159/month for 36/12 with $2499 due at signing a good deal or a mediocre deal? Also keep in mind this is Texas where taxes are based on sales price.

I see VWs nationally advertised 2016 deal is currently $199/month with $2499 due at signing. So its better than the national advertised deal, but is it as good as deal I could expect? It may sound silly but my wife and I are wanting to lease 2 Tiguans.

So of the $2499, about $900 goes to inception fees, leaving $1600 as down payment. This works out to another $40-45, so you're back at $200/mo or so.

Any national or regional deal is usually just OK; you should be able to do better with some decent negotiating.

2015 lease numbers are .00010 and 56% and $2250 lease cash

I am being shown this deal by a local SoCal dealer

2016 Tiguan SE , MSRP ~32,700 . Price 30,700. Acq Fees, DMV fees, etc all rolled into monthlies (no down). Total (for 8% tax rate) comes out to ~ $350 per month all inclusive for 36 mo / 10k per year .

How does it look ? Thank you
