Does the adjusted cap cost include the taxes and fees? If so, what does the $1000 down cover?

No the adjusted cap cost does not include the taxes and fees. The taxes and fees are folded into the lease payments.

I was told that the $1000 down payment is a way to reduce the monthly lease payment. I was told that for every $1000 down, the monthly lease payment would decrease on a 24 mos. lease by $45 per month ($30 per mo. on a 36 mo. lease). I was also told that the down payment includes the first lease payment and after that I would owe only 35 more payments.

The MSRP is $28,315

In NY, taxes are calculated for the entire lease up front and are either paid at lease inception or added into the cap cost.

The $1000 up front is probably covering the first payment, doc fees (capped at $75 in NY) and the acquisition fee; I doubt that any of it is buying down the cap cost.

I'm getting $338.17 before tax, so your quote of $370 seems about right.

I'm looking to lease a Prius Two in Southern California. What are the rates for a 24 and 36 month lease? I'd likely go with whichever is cheaper. And 10,000 miles per year! (Unless 12,000 miles per year is lowest).

We're looking at a 2015 Prius (Model 4). MSRP $28,435. Selling price not yet determined -- any help on dealer flexibility on pricing would be much appreciated.

Trying to determine true lease variables (MF and residual). Would prefer a 3yr x 10,000 mile/yr lease, but dealer said the shortest Toyota does is 12,000/yr (seems contrary to some of the posts on here).

Also, would appreciate any info on added fees.

Acquisition fee, first payment, state fees and taxes are usually due at lease signing.

Use the pricing tools at the top of the page (make / model / year) to help establish a target.

My guess is that 1 & 3 can be combined. #2 is probably for purchase only.

I think the MF is .00001 - there isn't one specifically mentioned for the Plug In, so I'm quoting the regular Prius MF.

Prius 2 residual for 15K miles - 69% (24mo) and 60% (36mo)

Subtract 2% for Prius 3; add 2% for 12K miles per year.

$1000 lease cash.

Most manufacturers do, but Toyota marches to the beat of their own drummer. It's possible they don't. I know they don't residualize any options on the window sticker.

36/12 numbers are 62% and .00001

Correct on the purchase incentives not being valid for a lease.

Thank you! Seems residuals have fallen in the past few years. For some reason I have it in my head the my 2010 lease was somewhere around 68%. MF was higher back then though, so go figure.
