I'm working on getting a 2016 mazda6 touring on a lease 39mos 12k/yr s&d, the dealership i went to is telling me the best they can do is 269/mo. Based on info here using MF .00001 and 55% RV for that model I get that OTD the price of the car is 23850 (they wouldn't tell) the only thing I'd have to pay up front is my tag, I have the loyalty discount and I guess the 650 cash for leasing? They only asked is I had another mazda (I have a MSMX-5) so that's the price they came up with. should I go with it or can they or another dealer make it better? I am waiting from another dealer to see if they can match or beat the price, but realistically could they do it?
If you guys think thats a good price I'll prob go with it

What is the MSRP? And is the net cap cost the $23,850?
Looks OK, but without all the numbers it's hard to tell.

MSRP is 25815 and yes I think the net cap (not sure about the name, it is what i actually pay) is 23850. Residual is 14198

With those numbers, I get $248/mo + tax. $269/mo seems to be in the ballpark.

Could you provide the RV & MF & any incentives on the touring manual trans for 36/15 and 39/15. I am not sure if there is any difference between 36 and 39 months. I am located just outside of Philly. Thanks

.00001 and 49% for 36/15; 48% for 39/15. $650 lease cash.
Are the Jan numbers available? Looking for MF/Residual and Incentives for the Grand Touring and Touring models. Preference would be 36/10k but willing to change terms if there is a different sweet spot in 33, 39 months or different mileage.

To end the conversation I got a deal on a Snowflake White Pearl Touring with wheel locks, sticker price of 26070 on a lease 39/12k for 250 a month, according to my calculations with MF .00001 and 55% residual the OTD price was 23299.50. Not for the Mazda 6 in January. 36 months seems to be the sweet spot.

Just two additional thoughts: 1) it looks like the current lease program will be in effect until 2/29 (i.e. they aren't going to adjust in February if the website is to be believed); and 2) even if the 33mo program is the same MF and residual as 36mo it may be worth it to avoid re-registration fees and take advantage of year-end lease specials for other manufacturers. Mazda is somewhat unique insofar as their fiscal year ends in March.

Agreed, but Mazda does reserve the right to update the lease program numbers whenever they want, so don't assume the February numbers are going to stay the same.

The 33 month MF is higher than the 36 month.
Indeed. If the MF is higher than most certainly 36mo is the way to go.

I'm finding the monthly payments quoted here mush lower than I see from local dealers. Can you give your opinion on this deal? Dealer says the January incentives on Mazda 6 are not as good as December when we started looking. On January 9 we were quoted: 2016 mazda6 touring lease in Connecticut, 39 mos 12k/yr, MSRP $27,665 Selling price $27364 minus $1,750 for incentives and $500 Mazda loyalty Cap Cost $25,614 Residual 15,215.76 (?59.4%, seems pretty good) $2000 down Tax, title, reg extra Monthly payment quoted is $308.18 This seems so far off from what I see quoted on this thread, I figure I must be missing something. What do you think? Thanks, LDee
Forgot 1 thing---no Money Factor given, dealer said they would call with the number, no word yet. I assume .00014, from seeing it quoted several places, but???? LDee

Residual is a percentage of MSRP. Your residual is 55%, which is correct for 39/12.
The base MF is indeed .00014. Dealers are permitted to mark it up by .00050 for extra profit.
You are only getting a $300 discount from the dealer. That's not very much, and may be why your deal doesn't look as good as the other ones in this discussion.
Till when are the Jan numbers good? My lease comes up next month, so I am deciding if I should wait for the Feb numbers or run to the dealer.
The current numbers are set to expire on 2/29/16; however, that doesn't mean that Mazda won't release new numbers next month if they feel they need to move some inventory.

hi Michaell, I wonder why we were given a quote based on 61% residual and 0.00051 money factor. I thought residual values are set by Mazda? Was the money factor padded? We have excellent credit but weren't asked about it when given the quote. Thanks!

Residuals are set by the bank and cannot be modified.
MF can be marked up .00050 by the dealer for extra profit.

So, maybe they made a mistake on the residual?
Regarding the money factor, is the 0.00050 markup limit true only for Mazda or for other companies as well?
Do we then ask for the base money factor of 0.00001?
Thanks so much for all your help! We've learned a lot just reading all the threads with questions and answers.

If you guys think thats a good price I'll prob go with it
Looks OK, but without all the numbers it's hard to tell.

The base MF is indeed .00014. Dealers are permitted to mark it up by .00050 for extra profit.
You are only getting a $300 discount from the dealer. That's not very much, and may be why your deal doesn't look as good as the other ones in this discussion.

for 10K 33/36/39?
Also, is there big difference between auto and manual for lease?
Thanks!
That's the best term. Same program for both models on that term.
Deduct 2% for manual transmission Touring.

Can I get the Residual and Money Factor for the 2016 Mazda 6, Touring with Bose and Tech Package, 36/10K, for Northern CA? Are the numbers different for the Touring trim without the extra packages?
Thanks!
No difference in numbers based on options.

I wonder why we were given a quote based on 61% residual and 0.00051 money factor. I thought residual values are set by Mazda? Was the money factor padded? We have excellent credit but weren't asked about it when given the quote.
Thanks!
MF can be marked up .00050 by the dealer for extra profit.

Regarding the money factor, is the 0.00050 markup limit true only for Mazda or for other companies as well?
Do we then ask for the base money factor of 0.00001?
Thanks so much for all your help! We've learned a lot just reading all the threads with questions and answers.
