The salesperson might have no idea about the lease incentives. They get the numbers from the sales manager desk and then shuffle back and forth. If you don't negotiate the selling price of the vehicle, you won't know about it, either.

So is the lease cash supposed to be used against the MSRP, then? Just trying to understand where the $5500 is supposed to come into play. I've tried to do some searching, but I can't seem to find anything to explain the lease cash and how it affects the lease (or does it affect only the sales price of the vehicle?).

Lease cash is a factory to dealer incentive; the dealer can choose to pass it along to the customer, in whole or in part. Use it when negotiating your best price.

Residual was 50%, Not sure about money factor.

The relevant numbers you need from the dealer are the selling price and adjusted CAP cost, and a breakdown of how the $1800 is applied.

Residuals are low, and money factor is high, but as you note, a huge lease cash incentive to offset those poor lease variables. It's the whole deal that matters. After all, you are renting it by the month.

Subtract 2% from residual to go to 15K/yr.
You should be able to get all of the lease cash, plus a normal dealer discount on top of that.

(assume 36 mo is their standard, but see some people reference 39 mo above- I do not care re 36 or 39- would just like best deal). Thanks!

Nope.. once the 2016 model goes away (as far as lease programs), it usually doesn't come back.

Hello, My first time here hopefully someone can help. My lease on my 2014 Ford Explorer Sport is up on 1/27/17. Looking to move into a Kia Sedona because of kids. This will be our 5th leased vehicle.
Not sure about all of you but I'm out here in Central California near Sacramento and I can't find any 2016 Sedonas with a Technology package and Tow hitch it's the only 2 things we need.

So I'm looking to get into a 2017 but have been told they can't be ordered yet? Is that true?

My last question is are the MF and Residual you mentioned above for December on the 2016 the same here in California and here is what I would get:

2016 SX - 36/15k

2017 LX or EX- 36/15k

Also how much are the total incentives and is that amount the same no matter where I go here in California?

I have both 2016 and 2017 lease numbers for the Sedona; generally, lease numbers are not published unless the vehicle is available at the dealership.

That said, Kia lease numbers are regional, and we do not have the document that includes CA. The dealer can mark up the MF by as much as .00040, for extra profit. The residual is fixed by the bank and cannot be altered.

Numbers and incentives should be consistent throughout the state.
