    Hello,

    A5 Premium Plus
MSRP: 49,395 brought down to 45,507 (by another dealership, not by the salesman)
    Lease: 36/10k
    Down Payment: 3,500
Quoted monthly (including tax) $525 in PA

I feel like my monthly is very high considering the large down payment, am I missing something? when I tried using 0.00011 and 54%; I get $434.

    Thank you

It depends on what the $3500 is used for. Bank fee, first payment, dealer fees and DMV costs eat up a bunch of it.

Have the dealer share with you the adjusted cap cost - if higher than the selling price, find out what's been added.

And, lease sales tax is 9% in PA

Hi, I am in Los Angeles. After negotiation, I got a leasing quote for 2016 Audi A5 2.0T Coupe Premium Plus. The MSRP is $52,625. Term: 36/12. It's $500 monthly payment with tax and $3,000 down payment. No first payment or other fee. Can you please tell me if it's about right? Thank you!

What is the adjusted cap cost?

How does the $3000 up front break down? First payment, bank fee, DMV costs are about half that, or a bit more. Find out how much is being used for 'cap cost reduction'.

Hey there! I was told $3,000 is for cap cost reduction. The dealer somehow absorb the 1st month payment, title, registration and other fees somewhere. And the residual rate they told me 53% which I thought it should be 55%? But the dealer showed me a PDF file from Audi showing 53%.

Are these numbers the same for 2017?

If not, do you have the MF and RV on 2017s?

Also, - what would be a good sales price for a 2016 (% off MSRP)? should I get 5% off MSRP or more?

Using the numbers you've provided, I get $509/mo before tax.

What state and tax rate is this?

Your deal looks pretty good by comparison.

Thanks a lot Michaell. Its in MA and the tax rate is 6.25%. If I pay the acquisition fees and the title fees upfront, the monthly payment comes down to $502/month. With zero down payment, the monthly payment is around $539/month. Please let me know if it is still a good deal. Thanks a lot again for your time and advice. I really appreciate it.

I am looking at a 2016 a5 premium coupe with an MSRP of 42,820. I plan to try get them down to to 5% off MSRP and a sales price of 40,679. Can you help with the numbers?

I am in SC so max sales tax is 5% or $300 (I think in this case I'll hit the the 300 cap)
Dealer has a $499 dealer fee
SC title fees are approximately $50

I am using .00011 MF and 53% residual. This gives me a payment of $502 with about $6,800 down for MSD, tax, title, acquisition, and first month. No down payment.

Does my math work out and would it be a good deal?

PS--i just found these forums and, wow! what an awesome thing you do for people! thanks for your help!

EDIT: i already see some mistakes in my math....i used a flat percentage for the sales tax vs the 300 cap. Also, I confused the acquisition fee with the dealer fee...so I only have the dealer fee in there and didn't add the acquisition fee.

The base MF is .00011, so you'll only be able to apply 1 MSD. Your up front costs will go way down because of that.

What lease term and how many miles per year are you looking for? Your MF and residual seem off.

Thanks for the quick reply! I am looking at 36 months at 12k miles per year. and I would get the audi care.

I probably made it a lot harder to answer with all my own numbers :)

    premium

.00011 MF and 57% residual for 36/12 with AudiCare.

Let's forget MSDs, since the MF is so low.

CAP cost of $43,172 including all of your charges plus the $795 acq.fee.

$529/mo. with just first payment due at signing.

It's me again guys. Thanks for your patience...I've gotten myself into a real head vs heart debate with two care options and I want to make sure my numbers are right (or at least that I have figured out how to work them)

    back to a 2016 A5 premium coupe 3yr/10k lease

    MSRP: $41,036

    Capitalized cost: $37,006
final negotiated price ($37,756)- bmw owner conquest ($750)

MF .00011 and residual of 58% (57% plus 1 year for Audi Care)

    payments of app $374

    due up front: $2,061
SC sales tax ($300)+ registration fees ($39)+ dealer fee (499)+ audi care (849)+ first payment $374

I feel like I must be missing something big here? (other than the assumption that my other half can negotiate 8% MSRP)

Hi, I just leased A5 Premium 2.0 quarto Cab. white- no navigation or back up camera ( I know but felt like the price offered was good). I wanted to get your thoughts if indeed it is a good offer,

12K/36 months/3500 down gave me 450/month. the residual value is 28224. I believe it is ratio is 56% as I understand, I don't remember the money factory but Finance manager said, it comes to 1.32% lending rate.
    1) let me know what you guys think. if you think, its good gross capital price I got based on above number. if not, what do u think should have been my monthly payment for above terms.

    2) I didn't take audi care at the time but finance manager is holding contract for couple of days for me to think I want to add it to monthly payment. I learned about residual value going up by 1% later so immediately called Finance to see if she can increase residual value so my comments get offset from additional $27 to may be like 12-15? Manager said, they don't do that in their dealership but finally said will check with her manager. what do you guys recommend I do?

A few questions before we can comment:

    1. What state and tax rate is this?
    2. How does the $3500 break down?
    3. What is the MSRP and adjusted cap cost?
    4. What lease rate and how many miles per year?

AudiCare will add 1% to your residual, so the $849 cost is offset by the higher residual.

AudiCare will add 1% to your residual, so the $849 cost is offset by the higher residual.
    thanks for the quick response.
    1.State- California- Tax is 8.75%

    2. from 3500 that put as down payment, 3016.56 was used as "capitalized cost reduction" ,$450 was used as 1st monthly payment. Dealer gave additional $750 rebate that was used against registration fees, documentation fees and tax.

3.MSRP- $44718.10 and adjusted CAP cost was $41701.54

    4. She said lending rate comes to 1.32% that she calculated using =0.00055 X 2400
its 12000 per year, my monthly payment is $450.

Audi care- thanks for confirming, I wanted to make sure this is still a current policy with AUDI USA. So i should PUSH for 1% increase in residual value?

I confirm the 56% residual and .00055 MF for 36/12

Using your prices, I get $543/mo. The $3016 cap reduction works out to about $84/mo, or $459/mo net.

So, in the end, your quote of $450/mo, with tax, looks good.

Do you think $44718 ( is what i will be net price for his car including aquision cost, taxes, registration & all documentation cost involved) is good for this car especially with missing parking sensor/camera and navigation? it did have heated seats and keyless entry which is nice.

We don't track selling prices, so can't tell you if you have room to move on the price or not.

Not for nothing, my newly leased 2016 VW Jetta has heated seats, push-button start (no keyless entry), rear camera and Apple CarPlay, which allows me to use the navigation system on my iPhone.

Seems silly that those items aren't standard on a car that costs twice as much, from the same corporate parent.

yeah , agree.. didnt make any sense for AUDI to bring a car out without back up camera and navigation.. I guess that's why the cost was in 43k range as i haven't seen this price across USA.. if i hv buy it with them included the cost would go up by additional 5-6K.. I think, i can install those aftermarket for $500-$600.

Btw, I was able renegotiate audi care ($849)into monthly payment and get improved residual cost.. it came out to 461.57/month and residual cost went up to 28718.

We have no information on the Audi CPO lease program. Numbers are likely to be different than for new cars.

Any idea when the Audi A5 sportback will be released?  How much might I expect to save vs a premium plus lease on an A6 generally?
