OTD for my car was aobut 40K
33700 for TL Auto/Nav
approx 1075 with 7y/100,000 mile ext war
approx 180 (wheel locks + trunk tray)
approx 600 lojack install
approx $1300 4 year 4.24 finance charge.
I don't have the contract in front of me, but that 40K was what I remeber.
This from Lindsay Acura, in Columbus, Ohio Internet price. I thought I read they were dealing about $800 above invoice. This price is about $1500 above invoice but maybe I need to press to show I am a real buyer.
The 2005 Acura TL is the optimum in
> performance and luxury
> in its' class. At Lindsay Acura, your Internet price
> is $31,900.00 plus
> applicable tax and title fee
Thanks
By the way, yesterday I got my clear 3m bra put on the front end of my car. Looks great and the guy did a good job. I recommend having it done if you do alot of highway driving.
There are four dealers here and only three were reasonable. John Eagle gave me the best deal ($50 better when we factor in the six free oil changes) but I ended up with Gilman. I got an anthracite/ebony 2005 TL for $31,050 and $33,239 drive-out after TT&L and reasonable misc fees. I negotiated till I was blue in the face and I feel it was the very best deal I could have done.
Note: Do your research and when you are ready to buy wait till the last couple of days of the month and e-mail everybody your best offer. If they are hungry, they will take it!! It worked liek a charm for me.
Your strategy works well for popular colors like anthracite/ebony, but may not be for hard to find rare colors.

This is my first post. I've just gotten a quote from Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg, MD for an 05/NAV/AT for $35,470 Out The Door (includes all taxes 5% MD, and all fees and all other charges. In other words, OTD for sticker. That equates to about $1000 above invoice/ or about $2000 below MSRP.
I went to the dealer with a very knowledgable friend, who helped with the preliminary negotiation.
I'll clinch the deal Friday - IF - I get what I want from Carmax for my leased 03 Acura CLS (I have 8 payments left on a three-year lease, but the mileage is only 8900, and is in near perfect condition. (I'm willing to take a smallish hit, if necessary, but I won't reveal that amount here.)
If all goes as I hope it will, I'll have a 05/NAV/AT white/parchment Friday afternoon. If so, I'll report back.

Rod
I am getting verbal and internet quotes around $33,500 for TL/Nav/6sp in Mass.
Just sent an email to you....Thanks for helping.
I can supply you reference via my email address.
Price paid without tax but incl TL 33000$
Anybody ever take up Consumer Reports and use their pricing service for a fee ($12)? Is it worth the $12 they're charging?
Thanks.
Was not hard to get that price. Just be willing to walk if you don't get what you want. Here is a breakdown:
$33,300--- 05' TL w/Navi
$95.00 --- processing dealer fee
$230.00--- locks, spl guard, mats, trunk mat
$33,625 subtotal
plus tax and tags
For that meager fee you get all the same info as Edmunds, KBB, NADA and all the other outstanding sources of FREE data, but you also get your name added to Consumer Reports' junk mail list! You could get thousands of dollars of valuable coupons and ideas to help you get rich--or you might just get lots of junk mail...
The only people buying this "service" are those who haven't figured out where to get the same information for free.

About the Acura warranty, call around So Cal's Acura dealters, ask for the busniness dept. Ask the finance perons how much an extended Acura warranty costs. Different dealers have differnt prices. You don'thave to get the Acura warranty where you got the car. You can get it at another dealer.
I couldn't be happier.

I posted my first message this past Wed and said I'd report final results if I were successful.
Today, I took delivery of the 05 TL w/AT and NAVI, white w/parchment. Knock-out beautiful.
I decided to lease rather than buy as I originally planned, because I usually change cars by three years (or earlier, would you believe).
Ok, bottom line: From Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg, MD (suburb of Wash DC)-- Three year lease, 12k miles, "purchase price" $33,478 (the same price I would've gotten had I bought). After some serious negotiations, I got 36 payments of $590/mo total, including all taxes, fees, etc., etc.
The car is thrilling. It's such an upgrade from my returned 03 Acura CL-S (I took a major hit, but it's worth it), there's no comparison. While the TL's steering feels lighter than the Coupe, it also seems more nimble (the Coupe feels "heavier").
Other than ultimate handling from real-wheelers like the Bimmers, this car has got to be the best bang/fun toys -- the DVD Audio is outstanding -- for the buck. What other car can touch it?
Regards,
Rod
(I'll now have to change my title "name" from CLS 03 to ...?) once I figure out how to do it. Any suggestions?

I've received the below offer on a demo vehicle in the DC area and would appreciate any feedback; it looks like the offer is straight-up invoice price (including accessories and destination). habitat1, I'd especially like to hear what you think since you know the area and seem to have a great handle on what discounts should apply to demo vehicles. By the way, I really didn't want the body side moldings, and couldn't care less about the decklid spoiler or wood shift knob, but can live with all of them. Thanks!
"I received your inquiry last night about the only remaining '04 TL. This vehicle was driven for a short time by our General Manager and has been retired from service. It is very well equipped with Navigation system, decklid spoiler, body-side moldings, a beautiful wood shift knob and splash guards; also, the mileage is 4,013 and the first service has already been performed. This car is new and untitled and is eligible for lease as well as purchase plans. You can purchase the 2004 TL described above for only $33,165.00."
Without the ability to fold the seats down, this can be an issue...
Thanks

I'm glad you had a good experience, but... the Rosenthal family of dealerships is generally regarded as one of the worst in the Washington area. Unprofessional, numerous complaints to BBB, etc. Washington Checkbook magazine rated them at the bottom of the list, along with DarCars.
As for my own experience, they botched service and repairs more than once on an old Integra that I bought there years and years ago. Since then, a friend who has an MDX had a similar bad service experience within the last 6 months.
So approach Rosenthal with caution. Perhaps they are trying harder and/or have a few good employees. But just the name "Roenthal" conjures up some pretty bad ratings and press.
I must've had the Dr. Jeckyl experience, which was professional and courteous. It helped that I had a great salesman (who happened to be their top seller). Nothing but full knowledge and complete politeness from him.
And, he told me that the Motorola V710/bluetooth from verizon DOES work (contrary to what some said on the accessories thread). All I have to do is see him when/(if) I get that phone, and he'll be glad to set it up for me, and answer any other questions regarding the complicated voicing/navi, etc. He said he wants my business for my next purchase and hopes I'll recommend him to friends looking for an Acura. And I will.

Rod
