    Net cap is $35,715. 2,280 is tax, acquisition, doc, title. I'm in Ohio, so tax is not added to monthly payment and I'm not rolling it in. 

     Would I be correct to assume that the $3000 of trade equity is being used as cap Reduction? If so that is about $83 per month on the payment,  making your true payment $483 a month 

    That's correct, it's used as cap reduction. I'm thinking the money factor is too high at .00188 but that is what others are reporting as the correct factor... just seems odd to pay 4.512%. 

    Hi, I'm about to buy a new 2016 Golf and the sticker at $38,175 doesn't seem to be that expensive when I compare with the car quotes (true cost to own). And with the cap reduction, it sounds like a reasonable lease @happyphunn :)

    Total drive off - (first month + taxes+ dmv fees) = $2175
    Monthly Payment - $300

    Im in NY.

    Has anyone here leased a similar vehicle?

    Hello everyone. Was looking to lease for 3/36 in Long Island NY a 2016 Golf SE 4DR AT next month. Im using the Edmunds lease calculator using the numbers here for the month of March. I might end up leasing in April but I wanted an idea as to what Im getting into. Using the numbers of .00095 and 56% I get $345 a month. Yet I see that that's more than the previous poster from NY is getting for his similar equipped Golf that has a higher cap cost and hes getting 15K miles vs the 12K im looking at. Here's my calculations please tell me if Im wrong somewhere: Edmunds autofilled the cap cost of this car at $24385

    Vehicle Cap Cost: $24385
    Title, Registration :$365.77
    Incentives and Rebates: $0
    Lease Residual Value :$13655.60
    Money Factor: .00095
    Miles: 12,000

    I'm Portland, OR...very little inventory if anyone has suggestions for other areas/dealers with more competitive pricing.

    MF is base rate for top-tier credit. Not influenced by down payment.

    Not sure that anybody has a lot of inventory of the E-Golf. Widen the search to Seattle and San Francisco, if you're willing to travel.

    The $11,000 "savings" includes the $7500 Lease Bonus and $2750 VW Dealer lease bonus. So, only $750 discount from sticker.

    I think you can get more of a discount than that.

    Lease numbers are .00065 MF. I don't see how many miles the lease is for, but the 24/15 residual is 43%
