Michaell very much appreciated! Can we estimate a monthly payment with these numbers? My calculator is saying over $1,000 a month, can't be right?! Am I correct in saying for the entire 3 year term I'm paying 22,326 total in payments?

ty again Michaell!
You don't pay sales tax on the whole amount in PA; just on the monthly payment. But, there is an additional 3% sales tax just for leases.
I get $659/mo with 9% tax using your prices. But, confirm the adjusted cap cost (sale price plus any taxes and fees you are adding in).
Hi, I would appreciate MF and RV for a 2016 C450 in Florida. 36/10 and 24/10. Thanks!
.00129 and 59% / 64%
Thanks Michaell!
In Florida it's always a pain with the $699-$899 dealer fees. They claim that RV for 36/10 is 58% while the national ad clearly works out to 59%, and you just confirmed it. MF marked up by .0005 with top tier credit. Acquisition fee marked up by $300, and, they "never heard" of an auto pay MF discount and are not sure about MSDs...
Last time got my car out of state without even having to fight the numbers. No dealer fees, and auto pay and MSD MF discounts applied correctly. Might have to go that route again.
Thanks to forums like this and your help Michaell, we can enjoy a great car at a fair payment reflecting the price we negotiate. Starting to see discounts of MSRP in the range of 10% to 16.5% on the C450...
Hope to get some feedback on this lease deal. 65500 MSRP negotiated to 57700. MF .00129, 59% residual on 36m/10k $2389 due at signing (1095 bank fee, 395 doc fee, 134 registration, 1st month + tax). Monthly comes to $695 but my math give me ~$635...
Do you think there is any additional wiggle room to negotiate?

Also, how does excise tax factor into leasing?

.00129 MF and 59% residual is correct. The acquisition fee is marked up $300 from the base amount.

I get $653/mo.+tax
Not sure what excise tax refers to? What state?
Does the newly added $1800 cash back bonus apply to leases on the C450? If I had a price quoted at the end of May, I simply deduct that amount from the selling price quoted? Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing that is the sales tax? If so, it's applied to each lease payment and collected monthly. Any upfront payments will be taxed and collected upfront.

No idea about the bonus. Also, your price quote from May, may no longer be any good.

Thanks for your input kyfdx! Still on the fence on whether to wait for the C43. Additional bonus/discounts might help me pull the trigger on a C450 though.
I just got back from a dealership and there is indeed a $1,800 cash bonus on the C-class for June. Unfortunately, that disqualified me from using another fleet discount that I'm eligible for...didn't feel like that was fair to me, as it was brought up last minute when I mentioned my additional discount. But before I walked out I had negotiated ~15% of MSRP.
Hey Michaell! Thank you for all the help and support. My car finally came in on pre order. $55,822.80 sale price (12% off). 7,500k miles a year I believe its a 60% residual and the same low auto pay money factor. I already have down a $1,000 deposit. With the 1k down and my numbers below can you give me a monthly payment? With another $2,100 down I get $658.33 or another $12,000 down I get $361.52. Can you confirm those numbers?

Hello, I'm close to leasing a C450 from a MB dealer in Virginia, and would love to confirm two things- that I have the MF/residual value correct, and whether the deal is good or not.
The MSRP on the new C450 is 64920, negotiated selling price is $58,395. Quote is for a 36 month lease at $10k miles/year. VA tax of 4.22% would be $2464, there's a $495 processing fee, $62 tags. There's also the $1095 acquisition fee for gap waiver.
MF was quoted as .00139. Dealer told me there's no discount for Autopay. Residual after 36 months is quoted as 59% (so $38,303). Total payment for me to lease with no money down = $845/month which includes the tax/tag/fees.
Does this seem like a good deal? Is .00139 a fair MF, considering last month it seemed to be .00096?
Thank you for any assistance, it's much appreciated!

The MF is .00096 this month, too. 59% is the correct 36/10 residual.
And, there is a .00010 discount in the MF for autopay.
The $1095 is also marked up; base is $795.
Is it your intention to pay the taxes and fees up front, or add them to the selling price? If we add them in, I get a payment of $786 using the dealer numbers. The MF markup is costing you $43/mo.
To bridge from $786 to $845, that's an additional $2K in the deal, somewhere.
The car I referred to above was sold, but now I'm looking at a different dealer, to lease a similar C450, but one that's a demo with 4k miles on it. MSRP is $64,570. I got that down $8000 (12%) to a selling price of $56,570. For a 36 month/10k miles lease, I was quoted a 59% residual and a MF of .00148, but this dealer allows MSD's, so after 8 of those ($5600 total) plus signing up for autopay, the MF supposedly becomes .00056. With the $4k of taxes and fees rolled into the monthly payment (no money up front), this all leads to a final price of $689.89/month.
Does this sound like an even better deal? Also I found it weird - do some MB dealerships do MSD's, while others do not?

It's important to note that the calculated residual will be adjusted down to account for the miles - probably .20-.25 per. Is your discount on this car bigger to compensate?
Yes, the calculated residual was adjusted down $200. Dealer explained that it is 1000 miles past 3k, at $.20/mile. I think the discount off MSRP (12%) more than compensates - it seems like 12% off a demo makes sense, but would be difficult to get off a brand new car. However, I"m much less experienced in this area, I'm sure I have less idea that everyone else here, so would welcome any feedback!
Last week I picked up my C450 after some haggling. 36 mo lease/10K/yr. MSRP was 62,940. Selling price 55,700. Paid 2000 up front for acq (1095), dmv and doc fee and 1st mo. NJ Taxes rolled into lease. $6500 for MSD. Monthly lease $600.

Nice ajb723. My final deal on a 36 mo/10k lease on the demo w 3.7k miles: MSRP 64570, Selling price 56,550, 59% residual, nothing up front except 1st months payment and 8 MSDs for $5600, net MF of .00056. With $4k in taxes and fees rolled in, the monthly lease is $687.71. Sounds fairly equivalent - hope we both got a good deal!
I wanted to see if this was a good quote. I was quoted c450 36 months; 12k miles; 62,500 msrp; selling price 57,700. Ended up with taxes and fees down and 692 a month. The state is NJ.

With your prices, I get $686/mo. If you're paying all the taxes and fees up front, we're in the ballpark.
Michael, thank you so much for your answer. I realize I forgot to mention that I currently have a c300 lease that I am getting out of five months early and am about 6k over on mileage at this point; and that was thrown into the deal.
MF is inflated but the Acq fee seemed low. This car is bought in MA but I am in NH (no sales tax). I paid Acq fee, dealer fee, doc fee, cap cost reduction, reg fee and first month up front for a total of $1700.
Question: Should I ask for the registration fee of $200 to be given back to me if I am registering the car and not the dealer?

That makes sense to get the registration fee returned to you.

18 months? Seriously? Wow, that's patience. Congrats on the new MB.

The sales guy says the $200 reg fee is for them to register the car for me at my town hall and etc...but I tried telling him I'm doing that myself. Should I escalate this? He seems stupid.

Try talking with the sales or finance manager and explaining your situation; salesman often work with very narrow parameters and can't expand their thinking to situations like this.
Would you have 15k Residual and MF numbers still for the 450 for march? Dealer has a demo with 6k miles im looking at. I should have a detailed quote from them today or tomorrow. Thanks

.00096 and 56% for 36/15, less a per mile deduction for the 6K miles on the demo unit.
So I can use a lease calculator with those numbers as is? What exactly is a less a per mile deduction and how does that affect my deal?
You have to find out what the per mile deduct is.
Let's say it's .25 - 6000 miles means $1500. If the MSRP is $70,000, the 56% residual is $39,200. Subtract $1500 from that, and the true residual is $37,700.
I have the quote below but when I punch it in a lease calculator it shows about an $80 difference. I'm waiting on the detailed breakdown of the down payment money by item. Please let me know what you get.

In Florida it's always a pain with the $699-$899 dealer fees. They claim that RV for 36/10 is 58% while the national ad clearly works out to 59%, and you just confirmed it. Last time got my car out of state without even having to fight the numbers. No dealer fees, and auto pay and MSD MF discounts applied correctly. Might have to go that route again.

65500 MSRP negotiated to 57700.

$2389 due at signing (1095 bank fee, 395 doc fee, 134 registration, 1st month + tax).

Do you think there is any additional wiggle room to negotiate?

We do not recommend making a down payment on a lease - that money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.
