How about this deal in Florida?

2016 Accord Sedan TOURING (MSRP = $35,500) for $33,500 OTD
    ($30,900 + taxes, tag, fees)

    or

2016 Accord Sedan V6 EX-L with Navigation and Sensing (MSRP = $33,500) for $31,500 OTD
    ($28,900 + taxes, tag, fees)

Both seem like great deals from what I can see. What do you guys think?

They are also offering 1.9% APR for 60 months.

A different dealer is charging $1800 for PROPACK! $1800!

It depends on how high the dealer doc fee is?

Does anyone know the hidden inside Honda to dealer incentive for Accord and Civic this month? Last month was $1000 for the accord and $0 for Civic.

Still nothing for Civic - they are selling like gangbusters. (in fact, it outsold the Accord in April).

Either $1000 or $1250 on the Accord, depending on trim level.

    2016 Touring Sedan OTD ... = $35,500 - $4,500 + $2,015 tax + $150 tag + $85 fees = $33,250 OTD

    no accessories or add ons.

$2,250 under MSRP including all taxes, tag and fees.

    Unbeatable?

Taxes and fee's vary from state to state so its hard to figure out this deal. You need post

1- Agreed selling price of vehicle before taxes and fee's ( does agreed price include the destination charge? )

2- What is dealers doc fee charge?

The MSRP to Invoice price on the Touring model is.......... $2974. So excluding your 4500 discount that puts you at 1526 below invoice minus doc fee and other charges not broken down . Get breakdown

Most deals are @1500 to $2900 below dealers invoice depending on what state your buying in.

agreed price before taxes and tag = 30,991 with no additional costs for prep or doc fees.

    so 30,991+taxes+tag = $33,250 OTD

I'm starting to do research. What should be my target price for a Touring with fees in NY/NJ AREA? Nyc taxes are 8.75. Thanks.
  • plinaplina Member Posts: 61
Any idea how much should, gap insurance and wheel and tire will cost? Or do you know where to get it cheaper?

Any idea how much should, gap insurance and wheel and tire will cost? I live in NYC and I find that wheel and tire insurance is necessary, the roads are horrible.

this will make me sound like a jerk BUT if the roads are that horrible do you really need to spend 35k on a Touring? fwiw, i grew up in NYC and can't imagine moving back...

I'd rather roll the dice and not over spend for the Tire and Wheel package. If I lose a tire or rim its a chance I'm willing to take. 20, 21 inch tires in NYC area is a bad idea with these roads. It really compromises the ride.

My 2013 R spec Genesis has 19 inch tires and the ride is terrible when I'm in the NYc area. My tire is a low profile

The real question is: should you even be buying a car at that price if you're worried about gap coverage.
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
Gap INS is covered in NY on a Honda lease . Toyota does not cover gap in this area on a lease.

I was going thru this thread and noticed some deals on the EX-L for as low as 25500 with destination fee included. Is that price really possible in all states?

Guys I know about the bad roads in NYC but I have had BMW's and Infiniti's. So I basically get my money's worth with the wheel and tire. That is why almost everybody gets it, if not people will only be driving civics and prius. Regarding the gap insurance just wanted to get an idea. I know is covered in leases but not if you buy, and I wanted to have an idea. It doesn't hurt to be prepared. Oh and just wanted to say a couple of more years in NYC and Miami here I come.
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
Dealer cash is 1000 to 1250 depending on model. CA pricing on Accords are in the 2k below invoice plus.

Whoahhh -- I'd never put a new Civic in the same wiener league as Prius. The new civic is a sweet car.

I am in the market for an Accord 2016 LX with sensing. So far the best deal I have is 20,400 without taxes. I know that taxes and all will add another 1k to the price. my aim is to get it OTD under 20k. please have any of you guys bought it cheaper than 20k? if so what's the dealer because I want one like yesterday! I live in the Maryland area.

Can anyone tell me the highest acceptable price (including destination fee) for a Sport before TTL fees?

    I live in Honolulu.

    Thank you
  • QuakerQuaker Member Posts: 110

agreed price before taxes and tag = 30,991 with no additional costs for prep or doc fees.

    so 30,991+taxes+tag = $33,250 OTD

That seems comparable to the deal I got back in January for a Touring Sedan. My selling price before TTL, including destination and two dealer installed options (window tint and wheel locks), was a little over $30,600.
  • QuakerQuaker Member Posts: 110
I have seen a post elsewhere indicating pricing as low as $29,700 before TTL on the 2016 Honda Accord Touring Sedan. I believe the person said they were in Massachusetts.

Supply and demand , your area will be factor's in how good or bad you do on pricing. To get your best pricing get as many dealerships involved as far as your willing to travel to . Use the internet to secure your best price. Buy at the end of the month. Use Memorial day weekend to your advantage most dealers will sell lower than the week before.

I got offered for 25,250 OTD inclusive everything for Honda Accord EX/with Sensing in Florida. I was unable to bring the price further down.
Anyone please let me know if this is a good deal price and I can go for it.

What we need to figure out your deal.

Agreed selling price ? Is destination charge included in that price ? what are dealers doc fee charge ?

OTD pricing is a guessing game for anyone who reads your post without the right price info included that totals your OTD price.

Most forum members do not know your states tax rate, taxes , dmv fee's, doc fee charge.

Do you know your models invoice price?

Brian, I didnt get the split up fro the dealer and I might get one today when I visit them, taxes are 7% here. But the price includes tag, title, destination fees, dealer fees of all its $25,250 OTD. I dont have to pay a penny more unless I go for add on options. Just considering $25,250 OTD price, is it a good price to buy the car.

Things you always need to know before making this deal or any car deal.

    1- Vehicles Invoice price

    2- Agreed Selling price .

3- Does it include the destination charge of 835?

4- What is this dealers doc fee charge? some FL. dealers charge $599 some $699 ,799 etc. Very important to know this charge before you agree on a vehicle price with dealers.

    EX w sensing invoice = 25,048 + 835 dest/charge = ...$25,883.

Here is how I breakdown your deal without knowing dmv fee's or dealers doc fee.

This deal your showing me is almost $2500 below dealers invoice minus doc fee and dmv fee's.

    Invoice price w dest/ charge ......................................25,883
    ....................................................................................- 2500
    ...................................................................................................
    .....................................................................................23,383
    7% tax.........................................................................+ 1636
    ............................................................................................................
...................................................................................$25,019 ...........add dmv fee's, any other dealer fee's?

There is a $1000 to 1250 dealer cash back incentive from the manufacturer. This is a very good deal.

    Good luck

$28,215 is the full msrp on sticker. That puts you at over 2600 below invoice price.

Post name of dealer , area, and experience with sale after your purchase so others could try for a similar deal.

Your price is very good considering where your buying. . You might be able to squeeze a few more dollars buying at the very end of this month. How many Honda dealerships are out there ?

With the Civic being so hot and availability relatively low, is it plausible to buy a more expensive Accord cheaper than the Civic? For example, can you buy an Accord EX-L less than a Civic Touring?
