Can someone tell me how Honda gets to $219 for a CRV lease. Here is the information from their website that I would like to duplicate:

"2016 Honda CR-V AWD LX automatic transmission. $219 per month based on 36 month closed-end lease. MSRP is $25,945. $219 1st month payment plus $0 down payment in cash or trade equivalent. $0 security deposit. Total due at lease signing $219. Tax, title, registration and $595 acquisition fees are additional. All available incentives are included in lease pricing. 12,000 miles per year and 15¢ per mile thereafter. Total payments of $7,665, with a residual value of $16,085.90"

Given the MF and Residual value provided here, the sales price would have to be around 23200, excluding the 750 lease cash incentive. Am I calculating that right? Plus does anyone know if upstate NY makes you pay tax upfront for the total lease payment or monthly payment?

I get $221/mo with those numbers (.00060 MF and 62% residual for 36/12) - cap cost would be $23,125 for $219/mo. Still, pretty close.

NY calculates the sales tax against the sum of the payments, and collects it up front. You can choose to pay it up front or add it to the cap cost and pay it over 36 months.

I wouldn't be surprised if that target price already included the lease cash.

LX, SE and EX all have the same residuals, this month.

For you to realize any positive equity in your lease, the dealership has to take your car in trade, before you turn the vehicle in. Otherwise, just turn it in, and if leasing another car through Honda Finance, they will forgive the disposition fee.

$26745 MSRP.
Add doc fee and $595 acq.fee to selling price for $25,195 CAP Cost

With those numbers, $281/mo.+tax.
About $311/mo.with tax.

If Honda offers 10K in your area, add 1% to the residual.

These numbers expire today.

I would like the money factor and residual factor (36 months, 12k annual miles) as well as any customer/dealer cash incentives for a 2016 Honda CR-V Touring AWD with an MSRP: 34,395. I believe the money factor is still 0.00060. My best guess for the residual factor is 57%. Good thru 10/31. I'm aware that there was $750 manufacturer to dealer cash last month but not sure if this is still available or, whether there are any cash incentives for customers... kind of doubt it. THANKS!!!

We are hoping to get the updated Honda docs soon; however, for the past several months, there have been two different money factors, based on what state you live in.

Dealer in bay area just told me the new MF for LX 2wd is .001, with RV 61%. Using these numbers with the honda promotion I get 200 per month. This is msrp 24745 and 21000 cap cost. So, looks pretty close?

I confirm the .00100 MF and 61% for 36/12.

With those prices, I get $200/mo before tax. That assumes that you pay all the fees and such up front, I presume.

7% tax takes it to $269 ... bang on with the dealer quote.
