What are the current MF and Residuals for Tampa, FL. 36 month 12k a year lease for a EX and EX-L? Is it .0006 and 62%? If so those are very good numbers for us the buyer when it comes to low payment? We are going role everything into the lease and provide first payment at closing.

Also, in previous posts I see that you encourage people to negotiate the sales price and not the payment. Can you elaborate why or how negotiating the sales price makes a difference compared to negotiating the payment?

Assuming FWD...

.00060 and 62% (EX) or 61% (EX-L)

That MF is pretty low for the CR-V.

Negotiating the sales price makes it harder for the dealer to 'pad' the lease price with junk fees. If you know all the numbers up front, you can calculate the lease payment pretty easily.

I get $402/mo before tax, with those numbers. Only way to improve the deal is to negotiate a lower selling price.

There is an active CR-V prices paid forum; might be worth while to check in over there and see what the experts say about your price.

I just used the numbers you gave me .. you'd have to confirm with the dealer about the $750.

Zero Down
$299 per month (includes tax) before tax payment was around $279 + $20 per mo tax = Total Payment
Payment includes all dealer fees, taxes and transfer of current title.
MSRP: $29,345

When the lease is over in 3 years we are responsible for $350 vehicle drop off fee and 15 cents per mile over the 36,000. (Standard stuff when in comes to Honda Lease)

*We did make our fist payment at the signing table so it was not a technical "sign and drive"

I hope this helps someone who is interested in leasing the CRV EXL and doesn't want to put down any cash.

Side Notes: I got the best response and easiest negotiations from dealers I called via phone. All the dealers I walked into and negotiated face to face was less than stellar. So don't be afraid to look up dealers within driving distance go directly to there website and look up "Internet Sales". You will need to do your homework as far as what you are exactly looking for in your CRV (on dealership lot) but once you have figured that out call the dealers and establish a relationship with one of the internet sales guys. I find them to be more knowledgeable than the average sales person on the floor.

I don't think this is the best $0 down monthly payment price but it's better than average so use it as a bench mark and don't be afraid to ask them to throw in a cargo tray or all weather mats if they are not included in there base EXL. I negotiated with a lot of different dealers so don't call them with unrealistic numbers. I made that mistake. This isn't there first rodeo and calling them and telling them you need them to be @ zero down and $270 (including tax) isn't going to get you to far. Instead let them know your sitting with a really aggressive zero down lease price with a local dealer but you don't care for the sales manager to much and if they can get you down to $285 per month all up all in including transfer or new tag you will be in the ball park of where they might be able work something out.

Also, one other small but big difference is "esthetics" some dealers do a pin stripe on the CRV. This to me doesn't look right so keep that in the back of your mind when you go visit the lot see what you like.

The $750 lease cash goes to the dealer. Make sure you negotiate a lower price to take advantage of that.

$296.49 is all included price ,tax,  title , registration fee , dealer's documentary fee , all included. 

I am new to car lease,  not sure why adjusted cap cost is important here.
