My suggestion - don't shop the deal, shop the car you'll be happy driving for the next 3 years.

I am so happy I found this forum. Could you please tell what the MF and RV for a AWD EX are currently in MN? I'm also wondering if driving to either ND or WI would save me money (both roughly a 2 hour drive.

Secondly, my trade in has about 3k in negative equity. The reason I am willing to take that hit is that the vehicle is FWD and I need AWD in MN. How much extra per month should I expect to pay because of this and how should/will this get applied to the lease? Thanks!

Thanks. Good point about snow. I can wait 5 months to chip away at the loan and chop that negative equity in half. The only concern with waiting is losing value on trafe in and a lower RV on now a 1 year old model (I assume the 2017 model will be available mid fall).

Trying to figure out if its worth continuing to look around or if this is about as low as it gets (I know there's always another $3-5 a month if i push hard enough but dont know if thats worth the extra day of visiting dealers).

Thoughts?

What is the adjusted cap cost, when everything is rolled in?

Don't want to negotiate the payment; negotiate the selling price (see the CR-V prices paid forum for great examples of what others have been able to do), then make sure you understand all the fees that are being added back in.

I'm potentially interested in a 20k/36month lease on a FWD EX in Texas. How would the 20k/year lease work? I was told that we could pay $.10/mile over 15k/year. Is this correct? Also, I would like to know the MF and residual. Thanks for any help you can offer.

What state? MF varies for the CR-V by where you live.

What is the MSRP?

Assuming the selling price is the cap cost, the payment is $202/mo.

But, we would recommend that you add the taxes into the cap cost. It will result in a higher payment, but if the car is stolen or totaled during the lease, you won't have to worry about losing your pre-paid tax amount.

Took a deal on a 2016 CRV-EX FWD lease here in Orange County, CA today. 12k miles/year 36 month.
$3,000 down , $181.5 monthly lease payment.


Detail Breakdown:

MSRP is $26,895 (incl. destination fee). Dealer discounted sales price to $24,000.

Put $3,000 down and qualified for new college grad $500 so the down payment is actually $3,500.

$3,500 down payment covers
1. $86.40 doc fee (80 fee + $6.4 tax),
2. 295.75 registration and other govt. fees,
3. 2718.84 capitalized cost reduction,
4. 217.51 sales tax (8%) on above capitalized cost reduction.
5. 181.5 first month lease payment w/ tax. (168.06 before tax and 13.44 tax)

Adjusted Capitalized Cost (ACC) is $24,000 (sales price) + 595(acquisition fee) - 2718.84(capital cost reduction) = $21875.16

Did a quick calc, without the $500 contribution from Honda, monthly lease payment is about $196.

That is a factory to dealer incentive, the dealer can choose to pass it along to the customer – or not.
