I would say she did just fine if she rolled all the taxes and fees into the lease.

Honda does not offer a 10K/year lease.

.00080 and 60% for 36/12. Subtract 2% for 39 months; add 7% for 24 months.

Hi 2016 crv touring msrp 34295 dealer discount 850 trade in 1000 for 2013 suv, cap cost 34209 residual 59% 36mon 12000 miles, works out 408/month. 
Thoughts on the deal whether I should go for it. What should I negotiate on.

What state is this? There are two different money factors for the CR-V this month.

What is the tax rate?

You want to negotiate on the selling price, just like you would for a purchase. There is an active CR-V prices paid forum you should look into.

Meant to post in this forum: Swore I would never lease, but leased my first vehicle, a 2016 CR-V EX-L, today. Things were going well until the finance part. Finance guy tried to sell us several services (paint protection, dent protection, wheel protection, etc…) to protect us from having to pay for major repairs at the end of the lease. Declined all. Finance guy said that Honda followed every other car company and reduced its wear-and-tear amount from $1,500 to $500 this year. He said that the end-of-lease inspection results are not revealed to us until after we turn in the vehicle and implied that it is typical to receive big bills for excessive wear and tear. Sounds to me like this is a disincentive to lease. Hoping that those of you with more experience can shed some light on this. Thanks!

Nope - you'll get an inspection a few weeks before the lease end. Results will be shared with you. Dealer is fibbing.

Wow! MF is really low! Also surprised to see that the residuals go up on the lower trim levels!

The residual spread is pretty common - higher trim lines almost always have a lower residual.

If I added a dealer accessory to my leased car - does that increase the MSRP? Lets say I add remote start and it's $600 installed...does the MSRP go up by $600? Do I calculate the residual based on that number or do I use the original residual and just pay straight up for the accessories?

Also is the MF for Missouri (36/12) still .00120 or did it go down to .00080 like many other states?

Accessories are not residualized .. you'll pay the entire $600 over the lease term (600 / 36 = $16.66/mo).

MO is .00120 MF

Also, if I add Nav to the EX-L, I exclude the option cost from the residual calculation and pay 100% for the option, correct? If yes, what's a resonable discount expectation on the option?

.00080 MF and 62%/60%/59% residual for EX-L/EXLNAV/Touring. 36/12. Add 1% for 10K/yr if available.

No to your last question. EXL w/Nav is its own model with own residual.

What is the MSRP?

The base MF is as low as you can go.
We've never seen a Honda dealer mark up the money factor, so nothing to negotiate on that front.

What state is this? Most states don't tax the full selling price, so that OTD number means nothing for a lease.

Also, there are two different MF for the CR-V.

The lease payment seems high.

NY taxes the sum of the payments up front. You can pay it at lease inception, or you can add it to the selling price.

You need to have the dealer provide you with what's known as the adjusted capitalized cost. Then we can calculate the payment.
