SLE has the highest residual at the moment, but numbers expire today, 5/2/16.

36 months seems to be the sweet spot with regards to lease term.

Is it appropriate to just ask for the money factor listed on this message board when negotiating a lease deal and to not budge on that number? I'm looking at. 2016 Denali XL 4x4 and the initial MF quoted me was 0.002325.

The way you handle it is you politely but firmly tell the dealer you won't sign a contract with an inflated MF. They know what the base rate is.

And, involve multiple dealers - the competition will get you your best deal.

Lease is for 39 months at 18k miles per year
Residual Value 53%
MF 0.00149
0 money down

They are quoting me a monthly payment of $1201 per month. This doesn't add up in the online calculators I have tried but they all give me different numbers. Does this number seem legit?

If I add your taxes and fees to the CAP cost, I get about $1149/mo.

I was just quoted 59% and .00155 in Pennsylvania for an AWD Yukon Denali 39/10k.

While it drove well, had loads of power, the interior fit and finish left a lot to be desired especially when you could be in a Q7 for the same money or an XC90 for cheaper.

It certainly has a masculinity that none of the rivals have except for maybe the Range Rover Sport.

Unfortunately, we don't have any GMC numbers for May so can't confirm what you've been given.

I'm not sure I see a lot of folks cross shopping the Yukon with the XC90 or Q7, but if you look at it from a price point, I suppose it's possible.

You wouldn't be able to touch that payment for 24 months.. Maybe, if you were willing to go 36 months. Scroll up and see what others have paid.

Assuming AWD.

.00155 MF and 66% for 36/15. Subtract 2% for 39/15. $1000 lease cash.

Extra miles are purchased up front at a rate of .15-.25 per mile, deducted from the 15K residual.

I show the 36/15 residual as 66%, not 68%.

Are you certain there are $3500 in available incentives if you lease? I only show $1000 lease cash.

And, we don't recommend putting money down on a lease - that money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled, and it gives you a false sense of what the true monthly payment is.

With your prices, I get a payment of $543/mo before tax.

No way are you going to see a payment less than $400/mo on a $55K truck, unless you put massive money down.

With your prices, I get $842/mo with the .00165 MF, and $831/mo with the .00155 MF.

Just to clarify, SLT residual is 36/10 is 69%? I only question that because the previous post has a Denali at 60% for 12k and if 69% is accurate I will be at the dealership ASAP. Can you confirm these numbers please? Thanks

Since these residuals seem high, is there a chance the vehicle wouldn't be worth what the dealers are saying they'll be worth and we'll be in the hook in the end for the difference?  You know what they say about things that are too good to be true.

And by the way, I went back to the dealership ready to pull the trigger on my lease when all of the sudden the $3500 off that I was given originally had disappeared!  It went down to $1000 off. When I asked why, they claimed those "special discounts" float around and it was only avail for a few days....did they tell me this?!? No!
Thats the time I exited the dealership. Bait and switch.

Let me clarify ... I don't have trim levels (SLT, SLE, Denali) in the June numbers, only the package codes. I'll leave it to you to translate one to the other.

The numbers are for the Yukon (not the Yukon XL), for 36/10

All MF is .00155

Yukon with 4SA or 5SA (2WD or 4WD) - 61%. No lease cash.
Yukon 2WD with 3SA - 67%. $1000 lease cash.
Yukon 4WD with 3SA - 69%. $1000 lease cash.

If residual values were set to high, you are not responsible for the difference. The leasing bank almost always has insurance in place to make up the difference between the contract residual value and the true market value.

If you negotiate with the dealer without telling them you are leasing, you may get prices that include purchase only incentives.

When you tell them you are leasing, those extra incentives go away, to be replaced by lease incentives which are often smaller in size.

I suspect this is what happened to you.

Residual for Yukon SLE 4x4 36/15 or Yukon SLE 4x4 36/12 are both 66%.

SLT or Denali trims have much lower residuals.
