I was just quoted the following for a Yukon Denali XL: 82k msrp with 10k off for a purchase price of 72k. They are telling me that because of the 10k off, the lease terms are different. So the MF and Residual they quoted is 0.0024374 at a residual of 54% for 10k miles. That sounded like a crap deal to me. The 10k off is great but the numbers almost make it not worth it, am I right?
Seems like they went through a different bank than GM Financial, so they could get a big rebate (to lower the price).
Oddly enough I was just quoted at 61% residual for a 36mo/10k lease on a 2WD SLT here in Texas. Are there different rates here vs nationally?
Not that I'm aware of.
But, I've been wrong before...
Could you share what the current MF & % is for 36/10 on a 2WD SLT in Texas?
.00152 and 66%
Looks like those numbers are only through US Bank. The local dealers are only using GM financial, which has same MF, but are at 61% for residual for those same terms.

It is up to the dealer to decide which bank to use. Often, they will use the bank that results in the best payment for the customer. But, there are times where there are incentives for the dealer to use a particular bank.

2016 Yukon SLE 4WD MSRP: $56,780 (conv pkg, driver alert pkg and 22" wheels) Term: 36 months/10 miles per year Payment: $429 inc tax (6% here in MI) Due at signing: $1,000 (includes 1st month payment, doc fee etc...) **Dealer added leather and heated seats to SLE **I qualify for GM Employee and lease loyalty **Dealer is paying one payment ($369) of a previous lease to entice me **Metro Detroit dealer
Am I leaving anything in the table? I was hoping with a 68% residual that the payment would be lower but the MF is large part of the monthly payment.

Thanks for the help this forum is AWESOME!
What is the adjusted cap cost?
And, $429/mo on a $57K vehicle is a pretty decent payment - I'm guessing the way discounted price you are eligible for is helping this.

36/10 on Yukon SLE is .00152 and 66%.
Working backwards, that gives me an adjusted cap cost of $47,400 to get $429/mo with tax
Thanks so much Michaell. Could you also please tell me what the MF and Residual would be in Los Angeles for a 2016 SLT on a 24/10? Also, if there is a sweet spot on the SLT lease, could you tell me what term that would be (36 month, 39 month, etc...)? Thanks so much!

.00202 and 69%
36 months is the sweet spot - .00152 and 61% (Denali 36/10) or 66% (SLT 36/10)

It's the same program as the Denali.
36 or 39 months would be much cheaper than 24.
Ah, that's right. SLE is the trim level I quoted, above.
Ok, so the 66% residual is for the SLE. Got it. Man that's quite a difference. What are the numbers on the 39 month for the SLT/Denali if you don't mind my asking? Thanks again!

Subtract 2% from the 36 month residual for 39 months.
This relates to a well equipped Yukon Denali. I was wondering if someone here could help me determine whether this is a good deal for a lease and/or if I should purchase instead.
Lease Quote Term: 36 Months Annual Mileage: 12k MSRP: $78,555 Dealer Discount: $8,056 Net Selling Price: $70,499 Lease Cash: $500 Other Incentives: $500 Taxes, Tag and Title: $2,682.72 (this is being added into the Net Cap Cost) Acquisition Fee: $595 Net Cap Cost: $73,277 Residual 60%/$47,133
Monthly Payment: $1,010.38 (only amount due at signing).
Purchase: GMC is running a 72 month/0% interest financing option. I haven't got a quote on a purchase, but I imagine the Net Selling Price would be similar and so would the taxes, tag and title.
If I am calculating things correctly, it looks like my money factor on the lease is approximately .00237, which seems like the dealer is marking it up substantially based off the money factors I have seen posted above. Am I doing my math right? Is the money factor for this vehicle and term still .00152.
Any thoughts and help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What state is this? It's possible that the full taxes aren't accounted for in the NET CAP.
0%/72 month payment would be $1018/mo. Not sure I'd lease, even at $900/mo., if I could get that. (assuming you can purchase at the NET CAP)

This is in Southern Illinois. Now that I think about it, the taxes, tag and title would likely be higher for a purchase than a lease since I am probably taxed on the full value of the car, correct?
Unfortunately, the 0%/72 month deal expired yesterday. So are the lease terms I am being offered not very favorable? Was I correct that the dealer is marking up the money factor significantly? Any suggestions on what a favorable lease term would look like on a Denali with that MSRP? Thanks.

The tax looks about right for a lease, then. Yes, the tax would be about $2500-$3000 higher on a purchase.
I agree with your assessment of the money factor. Looks to be marked up quite a bit. With .00152, I get around $910/mo.
It's either that, or there is a different program in So.Illinois that we don't have. Either way, I wouldn't lease at that price.
I am running the lease numbers on a Yukon denali at a local dealer - there are a few units listed on the GM Factory website that show 'GM Special Offer' with 'factory reduction below MSRP' and 'Customer Cash' of significant amounts (nearly $8000 together). the other vehicles listed on the site show the standard MSRP and basic rebate of $1000. This is not the dealer site, it is the factory site's inventory search. Is this just marketing confusion or does this represent real $$ that I can use to reduce my cap cost on top of any additional negotiations?

Hard to say. Often, prices you see on the 'net often include purchase-only incentives.
"Trust, but verify" - call the dealer and ask them to confirm the cap cost for the units in question.
