36/15 numbers - .00152 and 58%

No specific residuals beyond 15K; my guess is that the extra miles are deducted from the calculated residual at a fixed per mile rate. Don't know what that is, however. I'd guess .15-.25 per mile.

Yes, 36 months seems to be the sweet spot. No incentives.

If GMFinancial offers a percentage residual for 18K/yr, it will be 56% (not sure that they do).

No incentive info.

39 month residuals will be 2% lower, and may slightly lower the payment.

Anyway, I'm interested in a 2016 Yukon Denali and they have sample pricing listed and I'm wondering how much it would cost to lease this vehicle for either 36 or 39 months with 12k or 15k miles per year.

What's conspicuously missing is what happens to the remaining 12 payments on the Terrain. Likely they'll be rolled into the new lease, making it real expensive.

Find out what the payoff is on your car so you'll know whether the trade value leaves you with positive or negative equity.

Better to wait until your current lease is up, or there is a defined 'pull ahead' program where remaining payments are waived, before moving into a new lease.

Yes, that's true. I actually called them to try to get clarification and some numbers over the phone but they insisted that I come in and speak to them in person. I'm not going to play that game with them. If they're not willing to speak with me over the phone I'm simply not going to pursue this any further. There's no reason they can't give me numbers over the phone (except for the value of my car of course since I know that they have to see it to determine the condition of the vehicle). They're just trying to get me in there to see if they can pressure me into a deal in person. That's not going to happen.

A couple of suggestions:

1. Check out the "Real world trade in values" discussion here at Edmunds - you can get a decent ballpark trade number on your Terrain
2. If you have a CarMax nearby, hit them up for a quote as well. I did this last year when we traded in our Mazda for a Subaru. The quote from CarMax was fully $2K higher than the dealers initial offer on trade. I showed them my quote and they immediately matched it.

I am looking for MF and RV for a 2016 Yukon SLE 36/12 and 36/10 in San Antonio, Texas. Also, GM has an offer for this particular vehicle for $399 for 36 months plus $4699 due at signing. Using one of Edmund's lease calculators I came up with an out the door payment of $551.72 no money down including taxes and money factor .00125. Does that sound about right for someone with a very good credit rating?

.00152 MF and 67%/68% residual if 4WD (subtract 2% for RWD).

Can't check your calculations without MSRP and CAP cost.

MSRP is $51305 and the dealership has it on sale for $46822 which includes their discount and cash back from GM. Would the CAP cost be their sales price $46822?

If you pay all the fees up front (acquisition fee, dealer fee, DMV costs, first payment), then yes, the selling price would be the cap cost.

Be advised that an advertised price may include incentives that are not applicable to a lease.

We do not have the numbers for Ally. The MF is high, but so is the residual, so they sort of cancel each other out.

But, using the numbers you've provided, I get $548/mo before tax, so only a few dollars off the dealer quote.

Did they make a mistake on the residual number?

That's strange. I looked at the lease worksheet and it says GM Financial as the financing provider. I know the dealer will often try to make money on the MF buy adding some to it on the first quotes, but I've not really seen them change the residual. It must have been a mistake.

By the way, they told me $500 rebates were available for customers currently leasing a vehicle. Small incentive, but it's something.

Yes, dealer may mark up the MF, but they can't touch the residual at all.

I was just quoted the following for a Yukon Denali XL:
82k msrp with 10k off for a purchase price of 72k. They are telling me that because of the 10k off, the lease terms are different. So the MF and Residual they quoted is 0.0024374 at a residual of 54% for 10k miles. That sounded like a crap deal to me. The 10k off is great but the numbers almost make it not worth it, am I right?
