I used the $500 Gerber certificate that I got on line and gave it to the dealer and I didn't need the original ad.
www.irv-silverpop.com/mazda/gerber
I just filled out & submitted the form on line and the certificate came in an e-mail in a couple days. The one I received was valid until early September.
(The dealer I went to did not ask for the original ad & I didn't mention it.) I had a price over the internet from some place else and he matched it. I then showed him the certificate and he took the $500 off.
Thanks!

Sounds like they are already there in North Carolina. You may want to call up a few dealers or do as Mystery Meade
Then the question is, how should i bargain a first month new car? for a 2005 i think i can get the m3 hatch with abs/sac option down to 18K or less, how about 06? the msrp price of 06 hatch S Touring is about 19100 and invoice(according to edmund )is 18000. Should I pay the msrp? what will be a OK price with a new car like this? will $500 over invoice be ok? Thanks
I bought a new 2006 Mazda5 two months ago when it was REALLY hard to find, so I expected to pay MSRP. But I actually paid $600 under MSRP, without any haggling with the dealer. So, on the 2006 Mazda3, you should be able to get at least a few hundred under MSRP. Of course, this depends on which dealer that you go to...some are more willing to come down in price than others.
I'd offer a dealer $18,000 for a 2006 Mazda3 (invoice on the car you described), and be willing to go up to about $18,600 through negotiation. That's a little more than the 2005 model, but you'll save some of that extra money in gas (better gas mileage) and in depreciation (the newer car will be worth more at trade-in time...this becomes less important the longer you keep the car).
Good luck!
After you signed up with Gerber's website, how did you request that they mail you the ad insert? I didn't see any mention on their website for a Mazda coupon or promotion. And I couldn't find anywhere to request that they mail an ad insert.
Could you help?
Thanks, I'm planning to by an '06 Mazda3 S GT and every little bit helps. :-)

You have to sign up and become a "member" of the Gerber web site. Go to
www.gerber.com
and click on the pale purple "Join Now" icon in the upper middle area of the main page.
That will take you to a questionnaire asking you all about your new baby (!!!), so have some creative answers ready (I am an "other family member").
After they acknowledge your new membership, you can contact them and request the Mazda ad insert. I said I was planning on purchasing a new Mazda soon and would like a copy of the ad insert. Hopefully they still have some available and you can get one.
It took about 10 days to get the ad insert in the mail.
Then you can go to the previously mentioned Mazda web page and fill out that form so you can get the Mazda certificate number to go with the ad insert.
Others have reported on this and other forums that they were able to get the $500 off without the actual Gerber ad insert, but that depended on the dealership.
Hope this helps, and good luck...I am still waiting for a combination of model, color and options I like to get a Mazda 5.
I submitted the filled out e-mail form on July 23rd and received an e-mail certificate on July 26th, so, it was three days.
Well, I wouldn't know about North Carolina, but here in Virginia, they're here!

Oops, Meade, I didn't mean to relocate you! BTW are you safe and sound in Virginia or has Katrina left her mark in your parts? Up here in Canada we escaped with some extended showers; nothing compared to the horrors visited upon Louisiana and Mississippi.
Speaking of Mississippi, it was odd hearing the governor comparing Katrina to Hiroshima. "I can only imagine that this is what Hiroshima looked like 60 years ago," said Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour after touring the destruction by air Tuesday. Hiroshima, the home of Mazda, is in an earthquake zone, but "60 years ago" was the site of the nuclear bombing by the US. I keep on worrying that these weather patterns are not regular even for the hurricane corridor; it makes one wonder when will the connection to global warming and another Japanese city, Kyoto, enter the discussion.

Can we NOT go there? Please?
I also found there's one floating around from ACOG; I signed up for the cert at:
http://www.irv-silverpop.com/mazda/acog
Anyone have the ad for that?
I'm hoping my dealer will just take the certs without the ads, but it'd be nice to have the ad too.
Thanks,
Dave

If you read the fine print, all of these rebates (ACOG, Gerber, and ZoomZoom Live) say the same thing. Here's the quote:
"Limit one (1) $500 Cash Back Bonus Incentive per eligible vehicle."
So, officially, no, you're not supposed to be able to combine any of these...$500's the best you can do. Unofficially, however, I'm not sure if you could convince a dealer to combine them for you...
Still hoping someone will be kind enough to e-mail me a copy of one or both of those ads.
4-Speed Sport A/T, ABS/SAB/SAC Package, Appearance Package 1, Lower Door Moldings, Moonroof & 6-CD Package, Moonroof Deflector, Rear Bumper Step Plate, Wheel Arch Moldings, Xenon & TPMS Package, tire pressure monitoring system
Dealer over the phone said it was 22,900 and he would sell it for 19,900. How low should I try to push this? Think I can sink it to 18000 or lower?
Need to sink the car low as possible to catch up for my current car. Have a 2003 Jetta GLI that I owe 16,900 on. Thoughts?
If your dealer will take both...go for it!
Let us know what happens. Zoom Zoom!

There is no "copy" of the ads....you must get an "original" from either Gerber, or from the Plum magazine that was printed earlier this year and appearently distributed only to OB/GYN doctor's offices and clinics.
A month or more ago on one of these forums (maybe this one...can't remember) somebody posted some links to some high resolution scans of the Gerber ad, but unless you can print them out double sided on 8-3/8" x 5-1/4" glossy paper, you won't have an "original" ad. You can do a search of whole Mazda forum for "Gerber" and see if you can find the links if you want to try to print your own.
The second best chance would be to hope your dealer would take just the emailed Mazda certificate for the $500 discount. Otherwise, you need to sign up at Gerber and request a copy of the ad.
Is the 6 month's of free gas coupon only for your local dealer, or area of the country, or is it some offer that is available everywhere somehow?
Thanks
I don't have time to ask Gerber to mail the ad, as I'm closing my deal tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. I haven't even gotten the e-mail certificate yet, so this whole effort may well be fruitless. I've heard it's possible to get the rebate after the fact, but that's only by going through official Mazda channels, which certainly means a real original ad will be necessary.
Not sure if i will get the ad, gerber email me said i would received the ad in few days. that was last weds. I dont know should i wait few more days. arh.. $500 is lot of money

Oh well.. I've got my good deal from my dealer, and my vehicle will arrive tomorrow. At $3750 off sticker, plus $2000 Mazda cash, I've got little to complain about. (that's on an MPV LX, not a 3... don't get all excited)

Heres the 3 options I'm deciding between right now and would appreciate some advise:
Honda LS (price 15,000) - with Auto, power, advantage 38 miles per gallon and drives pretty well
Mazda 3i - (price 15,700 if I use a 500 gerber coupon) - with auto, power, advantage 50,000 mile warrenty, and I've had good experience with my Protege
Ford Focus (price 13800) - with auto, power, extra options, and priced almost 2000 lower than the best I can do with Mazda.
My feelings are mixed. Are the Fords that unrealiable that its not worth taking a 2000 savings ?
Good luck
It ranked first of seven cars, including the Focus. They conclude by saying, "Buy one".
In post #1698 you mentioned you had an extra Gerber coupon - do you still have this and if so, would you be willing to send to me?
Thank you.
