Anyway, good luck!
BUY IT!
Great car!
Dealership: Murray Mazda & Chevrolet in Gresham, OR. Just e-mail the internet salesman. He told me the invoice price and said any offer above invoice would be accepted. When the car was delivered to me the price was simply invoice.
Best wishes.
My invoice was a web printout too, but it was from Mazda and not the dealer's specific site. As others here have mentioned, the dealers seem to get their invoices from the Mazda USA site so there's not much to be done about that.
Definitely check the PDF on the mazda/ford partner site and compare to the invoice. You shouldn't find any surprises.
This sounds a bit odd: "Also, when he put the purchase price in he deducted $299 as a dealer conveyance fee from the quoted invoice price and then added it back where it was pre-printed on the order form." ... not sure what that's all about, but if it doesn't change your quoted price I'm not sure it's worth losing sleep over.
Good luck!
They dropped the price because I was Adamant about trading in my 2001 Chrysler 300M. They didn't want to touch it because I had it lowered with springs. They lowballed my asking price by $4k, I said no, and after about 40 minutes of sitting around they offered me the 3 at the Add car Price! You know, the car that was magically sold an hour before you get to the dealer or its Mauve or Puke yellow. They again tried to low ball my 300M another $2K, I said forget it and they said, no keep the Chrysler and We'll give you the car for $14,985...Sold!

my trade-in was rediculous, so i don't believe the made much if any of a profit on that. after coming to this site, cars.com and carsdirect.com, i felt like i got a very good price. also got the 3.9% financing.
I wish anyone else good luck in getting your mazda3 at a good price. maybe this will help guide you.
the cash and trade-in put my down payment at $3850.00.
Seriously though, you got a good deal.
I noticed that one of the current rebate/incentives for the Mazda3 is $1000, but it mentions something about having a "Direct Mail Certificate". Does anyone know anything about this particular rebate?
But still it drives like a charm... I love it! And they installed the 2.3 badge on it. And got the spoiler for nothin'. I'm not complaining about the mechanical problems(Air Bag Sensor/ Brakes). I expected them to appear.
Sorry, I can't help you with your nuts.
Paid maybe about $100-$200 over Edmunds TMV...not too bad considering it's not like I can play dealers off each other. The guy at Middletown was great; made sure everything was A-OK, took me on a guided tour of everything in the car before even taking the check. When he was doing this, for some reason the wipers wouldn't turn off...oops. They had to push a fuse back in. Also, they didn't have the MP3 player in yet, so I have to go back and get it installed in a week or two; no additional charge (got that in writing). Gives me some time to shake a few bugs out of the car and get them fixed at the same time, in one trip. I would have waited to pick it up until they had it installed, but I didn't have a car. (Mine died, which started me shopping at an accelerated rate).
Anyway, I'm very happy with the guys over at Middletown Mazda...check them out if you're in NY State. If they can find it and get it, they'll get it to you. So far no other mechanical problems...gee, I should have checked the front wipers again, but I just didn't want to spoil the smile I had all the way home.
add sales tax and other fees came out to $19,300.
Dealer had to go 140 miles to find a blue one so I wasn't to mad about paying some of the extra fees. I figured it would be a month wait, only waited a week. So far no problems.
can anyone shed any light here? Are you paying this for your Mazda3 or any new car for that matter. no one above seems to claim to have paid it or refer to it, but then again, every dealer is asking for it, so something has got to give.
thanks for your help

My saleswoman was professional and knowledgeable from the time of my first test drive in January, through the buying process today. She even picked me up from my apartment this morning ( in an RX-8
Anyone in the Central PA area, should definitely consider Freysinger Mazda near Harrisburg, PA. Even the F & I manager was low key, and was respectful of me not purchasing any of the "extras" ( may consider GAP insurance though).
Happy to be part of the Mazda family!
Also, if you didn't have a big down payment or you rolled in a previous loan, GAP is a very good idea.
I put down $5000 + $1000 in rebates ( no previous debts), and this is my first new car, so is GAP protection still a worthwhile purchase? The dealership is charging $380 +tax for lifetime coverage. I have to call my insurance company to compare prices.
I hope you all get you cars quicker than I do.
Well, I went down to my dealer today and put in a transfer order (from another dealership about 30 minutes away) for a Mazda3 hatch! I am definitely looking forward to this - I'm expecting delivery tomorrow afternoon! here are the specs:
Mazda3 Hatch in Titanium Gray
auto trans
ABS/EBD/Side air curtains package
Moonroof & 6-cd changer
Final price was $19700. Thoughts? Comments? Extra money laying around that you don't want? let me know.
yup, that's the whole shabang.
