Wondering if any can tell me what I am doing wrong.  Had a dealer give me a lease quote on a 4x4 Double Cab TRD Sport 36m/12k year $0 down.
The numbers they gave me are 39118 msrp, sales price 36600, 71% residual and money factor of .00190.  The monthly price they came to was $465.  When I calculate it with a lease calculator, I get $367.  I'm in New Hampshire, so there is no tax.  What am I missing?  Thanks in advance for any help!

I get the same number.

Ask them for the adjusted CAP cost, and then have them reconcile that with the selling price. You are looking for about $3500 in extras.

They finally got back to me.  They said they included the first months payment, lease acquisition fee and doc fees.  Must be a hellava lot of doc fees!!

If the price was full MSRP, and you covered all fees upfront, the payment would be $385/mo.+tax.

So, that's where you are starting from.. I don't have any idea what these sell for (but, I bet the discounts are small).

We've heard stories from other posters that Toyota offers MSD, but we have no empirical evidence. Check with your local dealers finance manager.

Last question. I put the max security deposits on the lease for my Lexus is250. I think 8 or 9. i just got the car about 7 months ago. If I were to transfer that lease to someone else, do i forfeit that security deposit?

if i were to sell the car for the buyout price from lexus finance, do i forfeit that security deposit as well?

Although Ive enjoyed the lexus these past 7 months, i found that a truck is more fitting for my current lifestyle. i am looking to get out of this lease somehow and pickup the Tacoma.

The MSD monies should be refunded to you should you decide to terminate the lease early.

May cost you in other ways, however, depending on the current value and buyout.

Terminating a lease early (especially after only 7 months) is rarely a good economic decision.

If you transfer the lease, you have to get the MSDs from the new lessee, as they will go with the lease.

That's an amazing residual. Toyota residuals only change quarterly, so it should be good through June.

Yes - I believe the fees are being capitalized. Apparently, the residual is not being offered by Toyota. They are getting the residual, MF and lease rate from a 3rd party. From what they are telling me, that 3rd party will only lock the residual for 60 days and a new residual is set for release on May 2nd (end of month for dealerships and Toyota)

Bummed that Toyota won't offer leather in any Tacoma less than a Limited. It's a $37k truck - give me leather! And when you add it, it's a dealer add on and apparently will not residualize so I am paying for 100% of the $1,399.

Residuals are valid until 7/5/16, and most of the MF and incentives are set to expire today, 5/2/16.

Hopefully, new program numbers will be available later this week.

Looking to lease a SR5, Double Cab, 6-speed manual, 12k miles, 36 month, NC and VA. I may go to VA to avoid SETF leasing as they DO NOT allow lease assumptions. Absolute BS. Never lease Toyota here in the SE with Omni. Bad idea if you ever want out of a lease.
