I saw a Mercury Montego this morning. Being that they sell about 4 x as many 500s, that's pretty unusual. I know that the differences are slight, but I think that the Montego is much better looking.
I like Mercury's corporate grill and that girl in the commercials isn't bad either ;-)
I think Hyundai selling some Sonata's to rental fleets so you don;t truly know if they have a true hit on their hands. I usually look to see if the licsence plate on te car has dealer advertsising on it because I think cars that actual people buy are real sales to real people and not rental car companies.
Oh yeah I seen a new Sonata with new car dealer tags yesterday, also seen a new Honda CR-v(gold color) and VW Jetta with new car dealer tags on them. Even with a car that looks like a Corolla those Jetta's are still selling like mad around NJ.
I don't know if a V12 would be too tight a fit for that platform...it's either a frankenstein car someone made with a real V12, or a rebadging.
Also saw a big, bad, black Cayenne with big chrome rims. Interesting....
- Mercury Milan - It was parked so I was able to check it out. It's looks well made but I think the 500 is better looking. I think that the dash cluster looks too upright and close in on you.
- Ford 500
- VW Passat - The rear quarters may look too elongated and slab sided
- Buick Lucerne
- VW Jetta - with a big dent on the back door. Ouch!! It sucks when a new car doesn't make it a year without getting hit
- Isuzu Axiom - not new but definately an unusual sighting. How many of those do you see but they're really good looking.
- The Lincoln Truck based on the F150. What's it called?
You mean the Mark LT. IMO it's a very handsome truck, no doubt about that - but what was Lincoln thinking when they made it??? Now that the new 403hp, six speed Escalade EXT is here, the Mark LT has no chance of competing. As an indication of how dead the Mark LT is to people, look at the Mark LT message board on edmunds. 189 posts, the last one made almost a month ago!
I give the Mark LT two years. By 2008 I'm sure Lincoln would have phased it out.
As well, I spotted a Porsche Cayman at the adjacent Porsche lot.
I also saw another Lucerne - this one kind of a candy apple red, and it appeared to be a private car. I thought it was a Passat from a distance. These seem to be doing OK here, which is somewhat surprising.
Not offensive.. just sort of generic, IMO....

I also saw the new Suzuki 4 X 4. It's pretty good looking.
The rear is Avalonesque. The shape of the rear side windows adds to that. Maybe the trunk shaping on top is like the 745Li I saw couple days ago-saw two within a mile of each other. Rare in that part of city.
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
I think the rear profile of that car is really BMW-esque, and I don't mean that in a nice way.
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
I've seen many new Impalas lately, but mostly rentals. I don't know how to manage the fleet sales issue, but there has to be a better way. It really cheapens the image.
VW Passat
Honda Civic
Dodge Charger
Mercedes CLS
BMW 3 Series
Hyundai Sonata
Chevy Impala
Cevy HHR
Mercury Montego
Mustang
Honda Accord
Buick Lucerne
Hummer H3
And today, two restyled Honda Accords, in silver and beige. Also a white Sonata and silver Porsche Carrera S.
Also saw two Azeras w/in the last two days, conservative maybe but nice looking nonetheless. One was black and the other beige.
A newish Range Rover (the big one) next to a new CLS500 Merc (the swoopy one). The house was nice too.
I must live on the wrong side of town, with my matching set of '05 hondas!

Lol, you must be doing good to have two new cars.
I will go back to something sporty when they are out of the house (and my car!)
I even updated my profile since you mentioned it. Boy, was that out of date.

Anyway good luck and happy driving with your Accord.

The best way is to simply forbid fleet sales until the 4th year of production (rental places can just buy from the dealer like everyone else), but GM and Ford need those basement bomber runs to prop up their volume.
Re. the W221: the 1998 Hyundai Grandeur called and asked for its trunk lid back.

But a bow on that thing, it is a box!

Also a white Hyundai Sonata and a black Porsche Carrera S.Then three restyled Grand Marquis, two in black, one in silver all on the same stretch of road within a minute.
I'm also seeing several restyled Land Cruisers, I think two today.
- One got a new Ford Fusion in black. It looks to be a fairly loaded car with alloys, leather and moonroof. As long as you get the fog lights, it's a pretty sharp car. The paint looks good for what it is.
- Someone else got an Impala. This is a more basic car with cloth interior and plastic wheel covers. It's not much to look at but I didn't get close enough to make a judgement on build quality.
The train station is an interesting place for car watching. You get all types there. There are alot of bona fide station cars that are 15 years or older. One old timer drives a clean powder blue 70s Granada and someone else drives a well preserved white 79 to 81 Trans Am with all decals intact. Someone else drive a little Triump convertible there everyday. On top of those there are some serious beaters. It's not the fanciest town that I live in, but some others have some nice rides such as a black Escalade that's never dirty and a very nice last gen BMW 5.
Also a black restyled Grand Marquis.
Not notable by itself (although it might be the first in the parking lot), but this one had a leather interior.
Actually looked very nice, even factory installed quality. It was even perforated (I think) and looked like it came right out of a TSX.
WOnder how much that cost to do?

2 of them were driven out of a small residential side street near my place, one yesterday and one today. Maybe a dealer lives there.
Ooh, a new style Maserati coupe just drove by
Saw a Wagoneer and a Tribeca yesterday.

Also two Hyundai Sonatas, in silver and bluish green.
Then a new Bentley sedan, boy do those have presence.

I have a Mazda6 and it was noticeably wider.
Too bad the 3.5l wasn't ready for that car, there's quite a price spread for cars using that 3.0l engine.

Fintail, I don't know if Vancouver is a leader in Mercedes Benz sales but I see a lot of the newest Benzes out here when they first come out on the market because of a lot of Hong Kong and China money.
I see the R Class on a daily basis, Beemers M3 and 7 Series every day as well.
And surprisingly since the Ford 500 came out I maybe have seen 2 on the road. Not a big seller for Ford.
2016 Audi A7 3.0T S Line, 2021 Subaru WRX
Here on the eastside (of the Seattle area) I am seeing R class daily, too, and CLS maybe every other day as well. I am still surprised at all the current SLs I see here...I see them almost every day. MB must sell them all in CA and WA.
