    Any thoughts on this quote for a 2017 Santa Fe Limited AWD for 36 months/12k in NJ:

    MSRP- $38,085
    Purchase Price - $35,000 - which includes only rebate I qualify for which is $750 for competitor conquest
    MF - .00080
    Residual - 62%

    With no money down, I was quoted $411 per month for 36 months. 

    I know now that there is $500 retail cash, which I do not think was really passed to me. Anyone think that I can realistically get the purchase price down to $34,000?

    Hi everyone, Good Morning! I wanted to quickly get some vetting on a 2017 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T Ultimate w/Tech Package. The MSRP is $41,350. With rebates ($1250 = Conquest + Lease) and discount, the selling price is: $36500. Location is Raleigh, NC.

    My questions are:
    1) What is the MF and residual on a 36/12 lease?
    2) Is that a good selling price or is there more room to negotiate? I've never bought a Hyundai before.
    3) What would a lease payment look like if I roll in taxes and fees with no money down?

    3. We would need to know the adjusted cap cost - the selling price plus all those taxes and fees - in order to model a payment

The initial quote they gave me was $32500 mrsp with final sales price of $27500 but this is for financing as if I were buying the car. When I told them that I'm interested in leasing they gave the above lease figures with final price for the lease of $27600 with the above residual.  I don't know why it is higher ; maybe they are calculating this residual using the final sales price instead of the mrsp. Any insight you guys can provide?

    First, I would confirm that this is a Hyundai-sourced lease; third party banks can be used but we don't have that information to confirm what you're being told.

    There are often incentives available for purchase that don't apply to a lease.

    Thanks for your response again. I spoke to a dealer here in San Diego about the 2017 Sport 2.4L w/ AWD for 36/12 and they said the MF was .00111. You said it should be .00071. I thought the MF was set by the manufacturer and not negotiable? Does that mean they could be using a third party finance company? Or is the dealer able to inflate the MF? Sorry, I'm new to all this stuff. Thanks!

    Hyundai Finance permits dealers to markup the base rate by as much as .00040 for extra profit.

    They call it "rate participation". :(
