glad you got a shipping date. when did you place your order. i called today still in d status i wish i could get a build date. i hope you get it when they say you will.
glad you got your car. i called d.c. today they told me to call back in a few weeks car is still in d status. if i dont get any action this month it will be cancel time for me, ordered 4/22 hard to believe they treat a sold order that way.and they wonder how they slipped to 4th. place in sales. enjoy your new car.(what color did you get)
In what state do you live? Just wondering how long it took to get to you relative to distance. I went into D1 status 7/30 with an est. ship date of 8/7.
Ordered an SXT, no sun roof, protection group, 6 CD with Cassette, protection group. leather and BA speekers. Built July 23/24, shipped July 25. Hit Michigan on the 26 and Winston Sakem on the 29th. Sat 6 days in WS before it shipped to dealer 3 hours away.
Can't figure how DC work the orders. My dealer had at least 2 cancel's by customers due to not getting their cars. Got the Silver Met. Love the Black, but not for me. Really like the Vanilla, but wife didn't want another light color, I have a white 300M (1999) now.
i live in indiana about 5 miles from the illinois state line i ordered my 300c from a small dealer in illinois. which i am tradeing a 2000 300m they gave the best deal on my car. this may be my problem .dealer may be to small to get any 300c in. did your dealer honor your order price or did you haveto absorb the price raise.
My dealer honored my order price, he said it was price protected. This is a Chrysler/Jeep Dealer, just got the Chrysler franchise not that long ago. The dealer is well known in this area of PA for Jeep. I think some of the problem with them not being able to get the 300C is because of the newness of adding Chrysler to his lineup. He has no 300's in stock at all. Sold the few he received, had 2 cancels from customers because of the inability to get the car. Only have 43 miles on the car, but what a car. Worth the wait. I didn't really mind the wait so much because I really liked the 300M I traded.
The order date was 5/21/04. Checked last week and was told the 300C was in a D order status--today told that it is in a BG status code. No explanation offered. I thought that I would take advantage of a good vehicle with a fair price--built by one of the "Big Three" but have decided it is just not worth the wait. Someone else will get the vehicle after I cancel the order. Good luck to those of you who feel this is an appropriate way to be treated when spending $36K+ for a vehicle.
called the chrysler 800# today they told me i am in D1 status as of aug. 5th. with a build date of 8/18. ordered 4/22 this is the first good news since i ordered the car. loaded cool vanilla. now i will see how long it will take before my dealer calls me. i had to tell him i had a v.i.n.
This is my first contribution to the Town Hall. And I need your help.(You guessed right). Made order through Sam's Club june 16,04. Have VIN and it is in D status. Is there somebody who can provide me with the DC phone number somehow? I would greatly appreciate that. Thanks.
The news is usually bad and not up to date. It can also differ, depending on who you're talking to. But, you're always hoping for that bright light at the end of the tunnel..."your vehicle is on a truck and will be delivered to your dealer today!". I called them yesterday only to be told my build date has been pushed back 3 more days, 8/20. I ordered it 4/27.
For all of you who have been wondering what those order status codes mean, I found this on a PT Cruiser site. My favorite is KZOH.
Here are the Chrysler order status codes:
BB - review by fleet department BD - special equipment processing BE - edit error BG - passed edit n/a for schedule BGL - edit ok parts unavailable BX - passed edit available for schedule C - sub firm D - firm schedule - dealer has allocation and all parts available D1 - gateline schedule - scheduled to be built E - frame F - paint G - trim I - built not ok'd J - built ok'd JB - shipped to body vendor JE - emission check JS - shipped to storage KZ - released by plant, invoiced KZL - released - not shipped KZM - first rail departure KZN - first rail arrival KZO - delayed/recieved KZOA - plant holds KZOB - zone/distribution holds KZOC - carrier delays KZOD - carrier holds KZOE - mis-shipped vehicle KZOF - show/test vehicle KZOG - damaged vehicle KZOH - all other reasons KZT - second rail departure KZU - second rail arrival KZX - delivered to dealer ZA - canceled
How long did it take from BX to D1? I placed my order through dealer on July 16 but the dealer did not send it until July 26. My order is on BX status since 8/12. I lived in California. No one here sells 300C in there lots for less than MSRP. They do however let you order for less than MSRP. Best dealer order price is from Victory Autoworld in Petaluma, CA - $40,500 with all options out the door.
Ordered a Magnesium Pearlcoat C w/sunroof May 11; vehicle arrived Aug 11. During the wait, I had become somewhat jaded by the long wait, somethings I had read on this forum and being predisposed to a negative view of DC. I must tell each and everyone of you that have "hung in there" for many weeks or a few months, don't drop out now! I know the "newness" can impair one's objectivity, but this car has exceeded my hopes and expectations. Fit and finish as good as my wife's Lexus. Beautiful, well planted ride;quiet, but throaty when you want. Several of my friends with upscale cars are in agreement with me. You could spend another 15 to 25K and not be any happier. Bought through a leasing company and they and the dealer honored the price as it was before the factory increase.
Don't you wonder where the naysayers come from? I think they are people who do not have a C but just want to rain on your parade. I got my C on 04/26/04 ... one of the very 1st ones .... and it is great!
Thanks to you I called DC and was told that the car is scheduled to be built on Aug. 26. However, dealer told me that it is stil in D. What do you think? Ivan1
after 16 weeks my 300c was built yesterday, the man said over the phone it will be coming all the way to ILL. buy truck no train ride. distance from brampton, ontario to paris, illinois distance 635 miles or 10 hrs,47 mins.
Ordered 5/10 arrived 8/15 - jade 300c roof, protection group. Like it so far, except the bottom of the seat is a little hard and could use a little more laterial support.
Ordered on April 17. Dealer reordered on June 9. According to Chrysler 800#, C was shipped on August 13. I now have tracking # and hope for delivery this week.
Our lease is finishing on our 2002 Concorde Limited (excellent vehicle, nice styling, etc) with only 25,000 miles and recent new tires. 1) Purchase at lease end for $13,000. (residual) 2) Purchase 300C loaded, arriving in a week (loaded-at prior pricing, pre $500 increase) 3) Turn in Concorde, get 300C ($1000 off MSRP sticker) 4) Extend lease, sell Concorde privately. 5) Wait till next year. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.....Thanks
Kelly Blue Book lists your vehicle at $14,100 for a private sale and $16,790 from a dealer (with standard Limited options, in excellent condition). If you feel like going thru the sale process you could stand to make $1000 AND get the 300C.
Run the private sale transaction through your dealer so you can treat it as a trade and only pay sales tax on the trade difference for the new 300C. Will save you a chunk of sales tax.
Yours and mine are probably on the same train; they started in Michigan (most likely) on Norfolk Southern rail then in Chicago switch to UP (Union Pacific) Was told the rail car ID by a Chrysler dispatcher; was then able to call rail and learn the rest. The secret is to use your VON and get the rail car ID once its' loaded and departed. Some science, huh? They told me on the phone today, that the rail car was now passing through Granger Wyoming on the way to Nevada.
My 300C went by rail from MI to CA last week. To track the progress I got the rail car ID# from DC 800#. Then went to Union Pacific's webstite (UPRR). Click on customer's then there is a UPRR Aplications drop down box on that page and pick Motor Vechile Trace, then enter your rail car ID and then you've got it. Warning you will check this every hour on the hour. I have no idea why following a train accross the US was exciting but it was.
Ordered July 8th, was told today that it's D1 with a ship date of 9/1. I think I'm going to lose my mind before I get this car. The anticipation and excitement are killing me!

Think I'm excited about tomorrow?
