I know PSA has some Opel-based small crossovers in the works, but we won't see those of course.

GM ditched Vauxhall as well. They're going after the China, India and South American markets, and pretty much abandoning Europe. Those 3 markets are plenty of territory for GM.

@qbrozen same as the t bird that I have. do like the jenaration I have the best to as whell. they are way over looked. have bin to an few car shows see the one after not the 61 to 63 as much at all. can get all parts for the most part. have an few places can send you the links for to get parts.

Thanks, Marco. We'll see what happens. I showed my son pics of a '62 coming up for auction in a couple of weeks and he said "that's nice." Then I showed him pics of a '70 Duster and he said "oh, I LOVE THAT!!"

Yeah.....like the wagon. Ain't happening in the U.S. I'd have to think the Regal is on its way out unless Buick switches the platform it's on.

I'm pretty sure part of the deal was for PSA to produce products in the pipeline for some period of time for use by GM here/elsewhere. PSA needs that volume just as much as GM did for Russelshiem.

Agreed! I have read in a couple of different pubs that GM wants to focus on NA, SA, and China, and is tired of losing money in Europe!

My cuzian sent me this morning an 1995 accord with under 30k original miles have to have him send me the link and will post hear. think might be in Vermont one owner fleweds wher changed every few years. would jump all over it if I was driving lol. will poste later on. glad the storme hear on long island was not bad at all sluchy only rain helped big time how did everyone on the east cost fair.

Not stated. Second owner is offering the car for sale.

I just don't know. You are obviously at that pricepoint where just getting a running/driving vehicle is worth at least something. Still, 220k miles is beyond reasonable expectation for longevity already. I probably wouldn't want to go over $1k no matter what.

Thanks - I wasn't seriously considering this, but was intrigued by the post. I've got nowhere to park it, for starters.

Not unreasonable if it looks decent. Longevity is a crapshoot at that age and mileage on anything.

I sold our '92 Legend with under 50K miles in 2013 for $4995.

Not sure I can compare the two. Just caught my eye, was all.

Although my life may turn upside down - in our neighborhood, there are houses the wife has been keeping an eye on. They back to open space, whereas we have multiple neighbors surrounding us.

One of these homes went on the market today - there is an open house on Sunday that we'll be attending.

The good news is that it has a 3-car garage.

The basement is finished, and the pictures seem to indicate that a pool table might fit in the rec area down there.

Just not sure what we'd do with all the space. Current house is 2700 sq ft; this one is over 3300.

Having just done it 18 months ago, I agree with you. And, we've got the house almost the way we want it. But, it will never back to open space and it will never have a 3 car garage.

I'm keeping a low profile on this - kind of like when we fall in 'lust' with a particular car, I'm gonna go along for the ride.

What happened to the Scion idea, iluv? I still think you might be happier with that, esp if you sell in the next 5 years.

Michael, good luck. I'm ready to move, but to get smaller and cheaper, not bigger and more expensive. But a 3 car garage could sway me. We also back to woods, and not sure I could adjust to having a house right behind me.

Hopefully your improvements done built enough equity to cover he reli costs. If so, why not. Wife happy. Just make it conditional that you get to buy a toy to fill the 3rd bay.

I'm pretty much going to tell all the non-car people I know that it is a G37x. LOL! The salesman even commented that some (younger) people looking for a CPO G37x will not consider the Q40 because of the badge.

99% sure I'm going to decline, but I had to see the business manager on my way out last week due to a discrepancy in my calculated math vs. their computer program's math. The issue was resolved rather quickly. He gave me the old "I want you to think about something" speech. I'm rolling my eyes in my head as he starts talking. "Infiniti offers an extended warranty so good that you can only purchase it at the time of delivery. They don't even want people to buy it because it is so good. It extends the bumper to bumper coverage to 96 months/unlimited miles from the original in service date."

I asked how much, just to entertain. "Depending on the car, somewhere between $1,800 - $2,500."

Sounds too rich for my blood. Plus this is the car's final year of production. I don't need it.

Pass. You get CPO coverage to 7 years, 75k, right? Odd that if the car had over 15k on it, you would get unlimited miles.

There's no way we will recoup the reno costs in the sale price of our house. The market has appreciated about 10% or so since we bought, and that's likely the price we'd ask for ours - no bump for all the work we did since we moved in.

Nice house. I like that style. And I really want your property taxes. Around here, it would have to sell for about $300k to have the same mortgage payment because taxes are so darned high.

I am debating the downsize thing, too. 3,000 sq ft now. Way too much for one person. But, I don't want to go into a condo, either. Landominium, maybe?

I wish I could find something around 1,500 sq ft, 3 bedroom (one for my office), a finished basement for my Home Theater (it does get loud, and having it in the basement muffles the sound). Small lot so there would be little lawn care. 2 car garage.

I'd be good with that. Seems I'd be looking at a resale....probably something from the '60s. Problem there, I want move in ready.

I don't want much, do I?

Neat looking house, but is that really a 3-car garage? Looks like 1.5 on the right and another .5 on the left like it is specifically for a tractor or maybe an old British sportscar.

We have typical colonial. Finished space about 3,100. Way too big for the 2 of us, and part time the daughter when not at school. Lots of stairs. Yard is pretty big too.

But, wife has it in her head that we shouldn't go any smaller. I keep telling her we just need more efficient use of space, and 2,100 will feel plenty roomy. I have not won arguement yet. But in the spring (if it ever comes) we will start doing some looking, and I'll start with smaller places!

Smaller yard will be tricky. She doesn't care for close neighbors. So abutting open space that I don't have to mow would be nice.

I really want a ranch style open floor plan, with master down, and 2 spare bedrooms and a rec room upstairs for kids/guests, so I can close that floor off most of the time. But around here, hard to find unless I build.
