The bonus to all this is an additional dealer cash sweetner that just came out very late last month. Everything fell into place for an easy transition.

@stickguy, thanks. I had my eye on a blue one but that dealer wanted a king's ransom (still there too) so I moved on to white and am glad I did, it looks really great in person as you saw. Acura just threw out an additional $500 dealer cash late last week on the TLX that I benefited from so a very good deal turned into an excellent deal. I don't know if it's regional or specific to the A-Spec trim but it's something to look into.
Speaking of Volvo, stopped tonight and got my form signed (easy work for $75.) The salesgirl (continuing our string of getting salespeople the age of my kids!) was new, so followed the rules. so we (meaning the wife) picked an XC90 (offer was good on any 90 series) and she got the keys and we took for a spin. It drove nice. Huge inside, but was nimble enough. And the tech was amazing, what it could do on that huge screen. Would take a while to learn it all, but very intuitive actually. Caters to the iphone crowd I think.
Also checked out a new XC60. That I really liked. Similar interior, same big screen, fantastic seats. And a much more manageable size (more what we need). On the list to replace the RDX in a few years (a good CPO option I would think).
Then we drove an S60. Drove pretty well. Wife liked the seats. Could live with one if the price was right. But felt way old fashioned coming out of the XC90! one issue is they pretty much just have AWD models at this point, and I would prefer FWD. Not thinking I will end up with one though, but never say never.
Also popped into the MB dealer and sat in a C300. Wife actually did not like it much, and preferred the Volvo. Not thinking one of these is really still on the list, considering the steep price, but will keep the GLC on the list for the wife. Though odds on favorite there is the next RDX, if they ever release one!

It's a bit of an adjustment not rowing my own gears and it's definitely strange not having the boost of a turbo anymore but the 3.5 V6 is buttery smooth and sounds great when prodded. I'm still getting used to the transmission though, it's a bit lazy with downshifts, but from what I understand that will abate over time.

They range from $25 to $125. That's how Cadillac got me originally.....come in for a test drive (they actually made me take the test drive) to get a $125 debit card.
Not nearly as often, but those offers still show up every once in a while. I get most of them when I got to auto shows and sign up for a manufacturer's "special offers".

I even did a test drive today. I'll have to catch up doing test drives compared to @stickguy and see if I ever get an offer.
