Not much of a deal. A dealer over on Leasehackr just did a deal on a 52k Stelvio Ti for 1800 DAS and $374/month plus tax. Dealer is in Erie.

That 3 wagon is not too cheap but not bad. If it checks out, I would have said 7k is fair.

I'm suspicious of the asking price on that wagon only because of what other owners seem to be asking for such a wagon. It's probably a "normal KBB" price, but most times someone with a car like that throws the books out the window - I know I did when I was marketing my 530i sport manual and our E91 m-sport manual.

If it were local to me, I'd be checking it out. I agree the beige interior is my lease favorite too, but the sport package makes all the difference.

And this week on "As the Alfa turns", we find that the gas door mechanism has broken. When "closed" it juts out 1.5 inches and seems to have had it's spring mechanism broken. I can safely say, I've never had a gas door break...

I looked up the "dealer" it's at - apparently it is a well regarded euro repair shop in Jersey. It also isn't perfect cosmetically - for example, even at 5 feet, I can see the BMW roundel on the trunk is missing.

Another sport package manual from a private owner who is asking for the moon.

Definitely high, considering my wife's old one sold a few months ago, as you may recall, on BaT for $17,500. And that was an m-sport.

I had looked at this M5 up in Vail a few months back. It was a little rough cosmetically, but drove decent.

    https://denver.craigslist.org/ctd/d/lafayette-2002-bmw-e39-m5-6-speed/6792543917.html

The private seller was looking for $17-18k for it. Looks like he ended up selling it to this broker - with the bumpers replaced and a hood available from a parts car they have, I'd say most of the cosmetic imperfections were addressed. And I get the sense these guys know what to look for mechanically and seem to have done some necessary maintenance. Not a horrible price, but you know, I have a house to buy.

That's one of the few things that broke on the S80 my parents had. It's common for the (plastic, I think) hinges on that model to fail. Thankfully, the gas door itself wasn't lost, and there was a repair kit available to replace the hinge.

An Infiniti M37 just turned up in the parking garage I use downtown. Whomever owns it gets to work earlier than I do, so I walk by it most mornings. Very nice looking. Hmmm...

Still don't know where I would park one though.

Yeah but asking prices are only the exercise of your First Amendment rights. What they SELL for, on a consistent basis, is the "market", and I think Q is right on the money here.

He's been up and down with the price, last I saw it he was still asking over $7K and I remember you saying he wanted $10K when he first posted the ad. Funny thing is he would probably find a taker on BaT at $8-$9K, ones with mileage like that are usually around that range from what I recall provided there's a full set of maintenance records to go with it. Now he won't take $4,500 but $5,800 is firm. Maybe.

Even with the work mine needed for state inspection I'm still under what I was willing to pay him in August and his asking price now is within a few hundred dollars of my total investment in the one I bought.

Perhaps, if this specimen were absolutely spectacular. If it's a "but car", as in "it's in great condition, BUT" then yeah, the price is pretty ambitious.

They are very rugged, the V-4s, but they have extremely fragile transmissions. You'd almost want to see a receipt for a fresh rebuild.

Ah..Not a lot of options.. Sport, leather and heated seats. Seems like someone was going for the cheapest way to get 300 HP.

It's a 335i, so a lot is standard, but Jet Black is uninspiring (not metallic).

I think the price is high for a 2011 with 100K+ miles.

Do you need to replace it? How much have you used it since your last purchase? It might be one of those things where you let it go and just sit on a little extra freedom for a while. :)

Beautiful exterior color. I've always hated the "grabbiness" of the velour interiors, though. We had both a 1985 and a 1992 Camry with that type of interior, and I just never liked it. Seemed like all cars (particularly Japanese) with cloth were like that in that time period.

GT showed up on my Amazon Prime last night, so I watched it. Wow... I loved the shots of the Detroit streets, particularly when they drove around the defunct Packard plant. I need to go there someday. Also, I think the supercharger whine on Hammond's Challenger Demon would get annoying pretty quickly. It looked like the Mustang RTR got heat soak after a couple of drag races, leaving the Camaro to easily beat it going forward.

Does it annoy anyone else how LED lights flicker when they are filming at a very high frame rate?

    Yep.

@xwesx the Prelude has that type of cloth but the seats are sculpted with deep side and bottom bolsters I wouldn't move much anyway, even if the covers were made from regular materials so their current composition doesn't bother me too much.

That gen Accord and the 92+ Camry were just such good looking designs. Just about perfect IMO. I like that color too. Not quite as bright as Chrysler's 90's wine color.

It would have looked even better with beige interior.
