They didn't add for air suspension, adaptive cruise, DVD pre wire,or upgraded wheels

They added $200 for tires that had 5000 miles on them

I just ran the numbers for him. It would be at least $52k to replace it. Even if private party. Would love to know what their source is. Please tell them I'll take 3 at $44.6k. Carvana/Vroom would probably give me $47k each.

What cars are selling for at the dealer is the very definition of market value. It’s not your fault their client totaled your car in a hot market.

I guess that answers my question about the at fault driver’s insurance company still playing games.

The "Our Cars" section of BMW CAR now has an older M2 in the mix. The owner had left the BMW fold for a few years while he modified a 2015 Mustang GT. He recently replaced the GT with an M2- not a Competition unfortunately. This month the new owner compared the track performance of both cars; he wrote that he spent three years modifying the Mustang but after a day at Goodwood he believes the only thing the M2 needs is different pads, SS brake lines, and possibly upgraded brake fluid. He's also making a few personal tweaks that I would bypass- a different exhaust and a steering wheel with a thinner rim. Regardless, I can't see going to a regular M2.
Alas, there is still no M2C on the horizon.

I asked "does that mean it shipped or is waiting to be shipped?" Rep said they don't know. Could be either. I get it ... to an extent. At the same time, it is crazy to me that Amazon [usually] knows right where my $9.99 order is but a car company is not sure where a $55k auto is.

Eh, I don't know. Folks been getting very varied numbers, and the exact build can make a difference. I'll have the hardtop, which is a big deal in the northeast. Then there is the color. I'm guessing roundabout $5k if I get $50k for it.

And this WILL be flipped, if for a profit. Even if the wife decides she likes it (highly doubtful), I would just order another and let her pick it out.

I’ve gotta think Colorado Jeep dealers are not remotely close to the deals some of you are getting. I’d actually be a bit tempted to at least go look, though I would be the ultimate poser in a Wrangler of any type.

Mine is nowhere near local. Closer to you, actually, in Louisiana. The other popular place to order from is in TN.

I'd only be interested, if I could flip it. I'd have an advantage, in that I'd only pay sales tax on the monthly payment, while I had the vehicle, so minimal. While NJ has the sales tax for the full lease term, added in upfront.

I have absolutely no use for a $400/mo lease, so it would suck if I got stuck with it. I'd probably end up selling the GTI

I am right there with you. My Tacoma has a fake hood scoop. I follow this Tacoma facebook page where every single one is lifted, with heavier duty leaf springs, custom front bumpers, upgraded wheels & tires, they cut the bumpers and fenders, post pics of their trucks driving through mud & camping in the desert/mountains... I'm happy that I can drive over a high curbs.

Well, @nyccarguy, it certainly sounds like you utilize that truck bed plenty, whether it be for hauling hockey gear or for work. So I’d say regardless of any off-roading adventures, you “use” that truck well.

So on our SUV search, we’re starting to lean ever so slightly toward a GLE 350. We looked at one over the weekend (but haven’t driven it yet) and found ourselves appreciating the more classic styling over the Genesis. The GV80 is still in play, but we’ll take a closer look at all options in the coming weeks.

As much as we’ve gone toward BMWs and Audis over the years, I did appreciate the styling and drive of the couple GLCs we’ve had, and am interested to see how that translates into the higher end GLE.

"Sales tax for the full lease term" is nothing compared to Texas. Here you pay the sales tax (6.25%) up front on the entire sale price, so $50k (approximate) times 6.25% is $3,125 due at signing. Yes, you can roll it into the lease, but that would add nearly $87 a month (plus interest). Which is why no one I know here in Texas has ever leased a car.

I never realized that individuals leasing a car was "a thing" until I started hanging out here a few years back. Now who says these forums aren't educational?

One of the things that irritate me about newer Ford F150 pickups is the front air dam (also known as a chin spoiler). That sucker hangs way down, it catches on the concrete parking bumpers in most parking lots. It will scrape going into any kind of steep driveway. A real pain, and the first thing I do when I get a new Ford is remove that silly thing. I was very surprised to find one still on this 2013 F150 XL work truck that I just bought. It didn't last long after I brought it home, I can tell you that.

Supposedly the air dam improves highway fuel economy, but no one has ever been able to verify that. If it does make a difference, it is very small.

As for being a "poser" in a Wrangler, I suppose I would be as well if I bought that 2 door Wrangler and drove it around topless and doorless. I would not be out in the wilderness slogging through the mud.

Is that lease "assumable"? Even if you couldn't flip it for a profit, I would think someone would probably be willing to assume that $412 lease.

Mine is nowhere near local. Closer to you, actually, in Louisiana. The other popular place to order from is in TN.

Louisiana? That is indeed a L-O--N---G way from New Jersey. You don't have to pick it up in Louisiana do you?

One of the things I have been looking at for next year when things hopefully return to normal is custom ordering a new F150 from a dealer up in Iowa. With that deal, you do have to pick it up in Iowa or pay for shipping.

Chrysler Capital won't allow assumptions. You'd have to sell it. With the rebate, it seems you'd be able to at least break even.

Just noticed that local VW dealer has a Taos in stock (pictures and everything). Kinda pricey. An SEL, so well equipped (includes moonroof package) but only FWD. MSRP $34,200.

Why don’t the car companies just sell directly to Carvana and pocket the difference?

Yeah, we do. And we even took the next step where they are matching us with a car - estimated delivery would be in August.

I'm still considering it. At the March pricing, state incentives that are still available, and maybe even federal incentives back in play, it could be a good deal.

The 9-3 I was interested in sold for over $10k. Insane. Front and rear bumpers both appear to not match the color of the metal (CF reported minor damage to the rear, but the front is an unknown). That is what turned me off to what was otherwise a nice looking car. That, and the price!

heck no, I'll have it shipped. About $700. Way cheaper and easier than flying and driving back.
