the 1.5 is fine. Car should not weigh that much. It works well in the Si. And of course leaves room for the inevitable hot rod version. I could see a 2.0t S version (FWD) and if they want to go nuts, an AWD RS.

They just need to not use the CVT in this for the non-stick buyers. That will kill this car.

seems otherwise to basically be a hatch version of the new Si with a luxury package option. which frankly works for me, since my wife would like that a whole lot better than the regular Si interior I think! And I want a hatch.

I like the new Integra but would also prefer a hatchback. Starting at $30K seems a bit on the high side to be honest but we'll just have to wait & see. It might still come in a bit too long for my side of the garage but maybe it will fit. Was at the BMW/Mini Cooper store in West Palm Beach a few times today and saw a beautiful X2 four door hatch and I'm liking them. Sat in a couple at the dealership a few months back and think it would work size wise but again, a bit on the pricey side. And would have to get a CPO unit as a new one would just be too much to purchase. But then I'd need to give up my "cheap to keep" mantra with my next vehicle. But part of me is saying just get what you want since the amount of miles I do drive is so small anyways.
Guessing it'll boil down to what floats my boat once inventories are back to normal, just like with the Golf, I'll know within a few minutes what the next one will be. Think it was under 5 minutes after I started driving that I said to myself, this will be your next vehicle! Usually, I know when I find the one very quickly after getting some street time. Always turn on the audio system first thing just to get a feel for the sound/power of the supplied unit. Then I like to do the test drive in silence & just listen to how it sounds. But I know pretty quickly and then, usually within around 7 days, it's on my side of the garage and don't look back. The hard part will be deciding from the short list!

My wife saw a 2022 Brooklyn Gray/Tacora Red X3 M40i and suggested I trade the X1 and the 2 Series for it and she'd take the Clubman. Interesting, but I think It would have to be an X3 M to lure me away from the 2er.

One of the things that Acura teased in the Integra concept some months ago was a rear glass area without visible exterior pillars for the back windows on the sides, which is possible because VW did it with the Arteon. The Arteon design not only looks more elegant from my pov from the outside, but also provides better visibility from the inside. The Integra's design concept also looked more distinct from the Civic hatchback in part because of this, while it seems the actual production Integra will look a bit more similar. I still think the new Integra is going to be a really good car, and one that I'd be interested in if I needed something, but I wish they'd actually delivered on the concept. I realize that going with what's in the concept no doubt would have cost many millions of dollars more, but if you're not going to do it then imho they shouldn't tease us with it in the concept. Tesla also got rid of the exterior pillar for the C window in the model 3, which is the pic on the bottom, although inside of the Model 3 there's still a substantial pillar there.

That’s just nuts. Why would the car companies sell them that cheap when they could just auction them off?

Thursday we picked up a couple of used vehicles from a dealer that the company had bought at retail. One was a pick up which we paid $42k for. Why we bought a truck since they are the most overpriced and the least rentable, I don’t know. 2 years ago we’d never buy a used truck at any price. I’m guessing supplies are so short that we’d buy a skateboard if we could find one.

A 2022 Civic hatchback is 179" long so the Acura badge-engineered version will be close to that, probably give or take an inch or two.

Tesla has recently raised the price of the Model 3 another 1k, which means that over the last two years the price has gone up by about 10k. The lowest-priced Model 3 now starts at $46,190 with destination + another thousand or so for a home charger. If you'd like it in red with a white interior that'll be another 3k.

Yeah, it seems like Acura saved some money by making it fairly close to the Civic hatchback. I personally think the Integra looks a bit better, but.....

Remember when Integra sedans had frameless door windows?

The upkick at the end of the beltline/C-pillar window is really a played out cliche now. I am sure the Integra will be a fine car, but styling wise, can't rejoice. At least they didn't make it into another cloned potato CUV like the Eclipse.

The Integra is obviously a version of the Civic hatch platform. Just like the original one was! I think they both look fine, but I am much more interested to see how they updated that interior. That is way more important to me. as long as the exterior is not pure ugly, I would be OK with it. Bad interior, can't live with seeing that all the time.

Congrats I guess! Takes me such a long time but after my Tucson debacle back i 2014, I doubt myself too much. But, we'll see how things play out after I test the new Corolla Cross.

Coolant light came on on the Audi yesterday so they stopped t Audi to have it topped off. This morning, found a dollop of oil under the Audi!! So, plan is to give it a few more days and if it continues, will take it to the mechanic & have him see what's up. She's not ready to give up on it which is great, nothing to get anyways. Unfortunately, this seems to happen on German vehicles a bit more often then we'd like. I'm tired of it actually!!
