No turn signal of course, but also side mirrors folded in.

I didn’t realize the size difference between a Ram and a Maverick.

but yes, the Maverick is not small by any objective measure. FS pickups are just absurdly huge now.
I saw a could of generation old Silverado today. GMT400 maybe. standard cab, short bed stepside. A sport model I think. Looked tiny compared to a modern version. The front end, not just the cab and bed.

Maybe because it’s international your system defaults to something else.

LoL. I admit I’m one of those truck drivers who nearly never use anywhere near the capacity! I do love all the interior room though.

The Volt is a different story. I bought a dashcam hardwire kit from Amazon that includes a fuse tap. The fuse tap had some fitment issues in this application, but seemed to work. When I started running the wiring, I discovered that I couldn't remove the A-pillar trim (apparently you just have to pull extremely hard, but I pulled as hard as I was comfortable, and it wouldn't budge). The infotainment USB ports in the Volt are always on, although I suspect there is some sort of battery drain protection that kicks in at a certain point. I later discovered that, unlike every other GM vehicle I and anyone I know has owned, the 12V outlet is switched. So I just need a long USB cable (ordered from Amazon) and should be able to route it on the passenger side.

I guess these pedestrian whiners would like vehicles to have foam front ends. I was taught to look both ways, twice. When you come right down to it, you don’t have to pick a fight with pickups of any size, a Yugo will get the job done.

My son saw this today while out walking. He said it’s been under a car cover for a long time so he did not know what it was until now. They had an estate sale a few weeks ago so likely an old guys baby which is now an orphan.
Looks super clean though.

I like that a lot. 84 sounds right, it’s definitely not 85+.

Last week i had it out with one of our rental agents who ran behind my car as i backed up. Missed her by inches Her response was “well, i had to check out the car behind you”. I told her that really wasn’t the point, was it, and she said “don’t worry, you wouldn’t have hit me, I’m quick”. Clueless.

That car looks like it’s in amazing shape. More than likely the tires are dry rotted or close to it. It would be interesting to know what it sells for.

This is insane- I just filled up the 4xe; it averaged 107.4 mpg.

Either that or he’s a typical EV owner that exaggerates. Then again it could be a decimal point problem.

I know it’s not free, but it definitely doesn’t cost nearly as much as filling up every week. On his last tank, my son drove 666.7 miles before he had to fill up again. He would have been able to go further if the jeep hadn’t gone into FORM. I want to say that’s the first time we’ve filled up in about a month.

I'll be the first to admit that I have the optimum daily commute for this particular PHEV. If you drive 75-100 miles per day it would not be a good choice. In my case I needed a relatively compact vehicle with true off-road capability- so that meant either a Bronco, a Defender 100 or a Wrangler. The local Ford and LR dealers are less than exemplary, and my TJ served me well for over 21 years- so it was easy an easy decision to remain loyal to the marque.

To get more accurate monthly readings, owners of EV’s should ask their utility to install new meters with more decimal points.

My biggest problem with the Wrangler is what to replace it with at the attractive $508 per month price point. My plan from the beginning was to try and get out of it sometime at the end of year 2. Month 24 of my 36 month lease will be at the end of March. Perfect time to sell/trade my bright blue, 4 door, 4WD convertible, with a power top. Besides the large property tax bill I received from my city I have no complaints.
What to replace it with? Another Wrangler 4xe with not so many options is certainly a possibility. There seems to be deals (right now, things could change by then) on Accords. A few brokers have Hybrid Touring Accords at $4K off which has them leasing around $450 per month including tax, I was browsing the lot of the Toyota dealer when my truck was in for service last week. I saw a white Camry SE AWD with heated seats & steering wheel that had a $32.5K sticker. With an upcoming redesign, there might be deals to be had on outgoing models.

I’ve learned a lot from driving my base no option Tacoma SR for the past 5,500 miles. It actually drives better than the $42K + TRD Sport I had a few years ago. My commute is just terrible. There used to be light traffic in the AM and moderate traffic on the way home with some bad days sprinkled in. Now my 32 mile drive in takes an hour. That’s leaving before 6:30 AM. The ride home takes between 1 hour & 15 minutes to 1 hour and a half.
